This is a good product. The company has been very responsive and the cost is worthwhile. We had a couple installation snags with a part missing and some of the directions were a bit difficult to follow. I would recommend hiring a fabrication company to assist with installation, this helped us tremendously. Otherwise, a very good product for the cost.
What was good: The product itself is very robust, offers high wind rating, looks nice, and should hold up for a long period of time. The installation was not that difficult, the instructions provided and video were helpful, and vendor provided timely responses to questions. The engineering design package was all very thorough.
What could be better: Communications at the front of the project should be better. An intake form for design parameters, location, shipping addresses, would help alleviate miscommunication. A design support type person following the order initially would also help. Better information about timing of entire order (a schedule), showing engineering period, procurement time, and delivery date would help explain this better for the customer.

The quality of the Shield Roof is truly impressive. Once completed, it is a very sturdy and durable structure. Assembly does require at least a medium-sized tele-handler. We built the structure on the ground and lifted it into place, which felt easier than assembling each piece at roof level. I had a small issue with missing hardware, so be sure to complete the inventory within their timeline. I am very happy with the product and will purchase additional products from Shield Roof.

I have two 20ft containers and ordered one of their kits. After a REALLY BAD experience dealing with this company, I was able to install the roof.
In short...
1) don't believe what they tell you - they lied about their delivery capabilities causing a massive delay, extra costs, and headache
2) their quality control is horrible - sent the wrong parts and didn't send enough of the hardware for installing the roof, which they made me go buy and refused to reimburse me
3) their instructions/diagrams are wrong - you'll find out what I mean after you complete installing the frame and are ready to install metal roofing (enjoy starting all over again)
4) they are horrible to deal with - when you reach out to discuss problems, they don't take responsibility, they don't call you back, and they are very petty, refusing to send/reimburse missing parts that are supposed to come with the kit.
Avoid this company. You'll regret giving them tens of thousands of dollars.

Regarding delivery:
This job site required specialized access, which created logistical challenges beyond a standard delivery. Despite this, our team coordinated multiple delivery attempts with carriers at no additional cost to you. The delays were related to site accessibility and carrier logistics, not a misrepresentation of our delivery capabilities, and we worked directly with the freight providers until delivery was successfully completed.
Regarding missing parts and hardware:
When concerns were raised, we requested a complete inventory review so that any missing items could be addressed together in one agreed-upon solution, either via replacement parts or refund. Initially, replacement parts were requested and confirmed. On 10/13/2025, we reconfirmed the items needed and were advised that only brackets were required, which were promptly shipped based on that information. Additional parts were requested later after you shared that they had already been purchased locally. As reimbursements or reshipments require mutual agreement in advance—and the items had already been sourced independently—no reimbursement was issued in accordance with our established policy.
Regarding instructions and diagrams:
Our installation manuals and engineered diagrams are used successfully across many completed projects. Proper sequencing and review of the full manual prior to installation are critical, and we strongly encourage customers and installers to reach out during the build process if questions arise. Doing so allows us to address concerns before rework is required, and our support team is always available for that purpose.
Regarding communication:
We regret if our communication did not meet your expectations. At no point was support intentionally withheld. All decisions were made based on documented communication, confirmed requests, and established policies, with the intent of providing fair and consistent support.
We understand that construction projects can be stressful, and we take all feedback very seriously. While we respectfully disagree with several characterizations in your review, we stand by the quality of our products, the professionalism of our team, and the integrity with which we conduct business. Shield roof has a very well engineered product that also looks great installed. The components are well made and go together easily although experience in construction is necessary to install one. They helped with engineering and engineered drawings for the county throughout the project. Overall very happy with shield roof solutions.
