I used Silvine Law for the purchase of my house which completed in December 2025.

I worked with different members of the team (incl. a more senior member of staff overseeing the work of a more junior member of staff), but found them equally professional.

Communication regarding what was needed from me (and why) was timely and clear. Throughout the process, my questions were answered quickly and in detail. Expectations were managed with the sellers' solicitors as a building survey and a specialist survey had to be undertaken. When needed, my day-to-day contact phoned me to ensure that matters were in hand.

The team was not only knowledgeable but they were also very friendly and approachable which was great given how stressful buying a house could be.

I will not hesitate to use them again and / or recommend their services.

STAY AWAY - BE WARNED. Do Not Instruct This Firm. Do not approach Ozan Askin

I strongly advise anyone considering Silvine Law and or Ozan Askin to stay far away and do not approach them. My experience with them has been a nightmare from start to finish. I unfortunately instructed this firm, only to realize their true nature far too late.

There are several critical issues you should be aware of:

Zero Communication: They never return calls. Whenever you try to reach the solicitor in charge, they are "always abroad" or unavailable.

Misleading Fees & Staffing: They charge the highest professional solicitor rates, yet you are consistently pushed off onto trainees and apprentices rather than the qualified experts you are paying for.

Lack of Transparency: They do not disclose their charges upfront. In a staggering display of unprofessionalism, they asked me to sign their Terms and Conditions two weeks after everything was already finished.

Safety & Data Breach: Most alarmingly, they released my private home address to an unauthorized third party, putting my personal safety at significant risk.

Disrespectful Conduct: I was repeatedly misgendered by the staff, showing a complete lack of basic respect and professional standards.

There are currently active proceedings against this firm regarding these matters. Save yourself the stress, money, and risk to your safety—find a professional firm that actually respects the law and their clients.
