Terrible

Terrible. Had to set an appointment before getting price for MRI. Half-an-hour in got a quote of $445. After an hour it went to over $500. Bait and switch.

WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO. UNPROFESSIONAL. NEED TO SHUT THEM DOWN. HAD MY APPOINTMENT LOCATION ALL SCREWED UP! TOLD ME TO COME TO SAN VICENTE THEN CHANGED IT TO WILSHIRE. I USE TRANSPORTATION. Terrible Customer Service - Verify EVERYTHING

Terrible Customer Service. My husband's doctor referred him to SimonMed for a lumbar MRI and a "sitting" brain MRI (both with and without contrast). We called to schedule the appointment. The scheduler took all of the information we provided and scheduled for 03/10 for the Centennial Hills location. He confirmed everything and said their was be no copay. I asked him to please verify that. He put us on hold for some time and came back and said he confirmed no copay (We had provided insurance information).

Issue one: A couple of days before the appointment, we get notified that there is, in fact, a $1000+ copay.

Issue two: The day before the appointment, My husband as a missed call from SimonMed asking to call them back. He works graveyard, so by the time he woke called them (around 4:30pm), they were closed.
On 03/10, while on the way to his appointment, he got a call from SimonMed saying they just noticed that the doctors notes called for a "sitting" MRI of the brain and that they did not have a machine at Centennial Hills that could perform it. There is only one machine like that and it is at their Craig Rd location. They need to reschedule him. THE FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT THERE IS 03/31. Seven days AFTER his follow up appoint with the doctor to review the results of these scans. No offer to try to squeeze him in earlier because it was THEIR ERROR. My husband has been living with pain because of possible complications from a spine surgery in October of 2025. These scans are to help get to the bottom of it and now he is being forced to live another month in pain with no possible answers.

Tried to schedule an appoint per…

Tried to schedule an appoint per doctor's request only to be disconnected on the 1st try with one customer rep and then on the 2nd call to be on put hold for 20 minutes from the 2nd rep. and then told they will call me back. which they never did. I looked at other reviews and wow this company is a joke! I'm now instructing my doctor the find another location.

Painful appointment process and robots

First, I called to make an appointment. First call, 11 minutes, rep didn't know what Medicare was. Ended call when I didn't know my Provider's address; no appointment.
Called a few days later to try again. More than 30 minutes, finally got appointment but told to get provider referral paperwork in. Rep not familiar with preprinted SimonMed referral form given out at Provider's offices. I contacted Provider to fax referral again. This happened over multiple days after 2/6 and still going today, the 20th.
Got multiple texts/emails requesting provider referral. Decided to cancel and use Onvida, SimonMed being too high maintenance.

Now I get daily texts/emails that, a week later or so, they got referral from provider and I should call Karla to make an appointment. These come daily. I am also getting robo calls to call Karla and press 1. When you call you don't get Karla, just a menu.
This is technology gone wild. I'm reluctant to block emails and phone numbers in case I am crazy enough to utilize this imaging in Yuma in future but am getting closer and closer.
I wonder how messed up their billing is if the appointment operation is so bad. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Schedule Error

I was scheduled for a Mammogram today, I got up at 6;00Am to arrive for a 7;30 appointment to be told I had to reschedule because I was too early for Insurance to cover I asked the idiot who scheduled my appointment to make sure to schedule after the date from previous year. She assured me it was. Maybe the language barrier was confusing. Get better staff who can check correct dates and understand English.

had my dr send me there for a long list of things called to make an appointment silly me they will not make one because i have the order not them so i am not going to hire a driver to take me there to give them the order so i can make an appointment do not understand why i can not just bring it with me so call my dr an told him to send me else where or i just will not have the tesy run it is like why would i call if i did not have an order stupid

Do not use Simonmed


I am telling you: do not give your health information, your contact information, or your financial information to SimonMed. They need to be investigated by the DOJ for fraudulent billing practices. Once you have an imaging procedure done with them, they will contact you constantly with made up bills for the same imaging you already paid for. It’s very easy to pay for a procedure with SimonMed, they have so many methods! I paid upfront, before my procedure, out of pocket. But if they double charge you or make up a bill? You have to email their billing department with all of the information they are supposed to have, the reps are just as confused as you are, they change your account number with each bill they give you for the same imaging procedure you had done so they don’t have proof you paid your bill. Good thing I keep everything.

If you do imaging with Simonmed: KEEP. ALL. YOUR. RECEIPTS.
Any account number they put in tiny writing on your bill? WRITE IT DOWN. KEEP IT HANDY INDEFINITELY. You will thank me when they text and email you to pay for the imaging procedure you already paid for, even if it’s a year later. Especially when the bill jumps from $200 to $1,000 inexplicably months later. And when you call them to dispute it, they can’t tell you where the $1,000 came from and make up a new, lower number they think you’ll just pay since you’ve been on the phone for 2 HOURS.
This happened months ago but I realized I never got any follow up from this company after I went through this with them.

Incredible Incompetence

I'd like to give them a negative 1. I'm just trying to get an MRI. Two appointments, two cancellations (by them). They notified me after the fact and after they had already filled my slot.
After the first cancellation I called them, the doctor's office and my insurance company to get everyone on the same page. I even told them I would pay cash. And some how it another they screwed it up again. Makes me doubt my doctor's capabilities, since he's the one suggesting them.

I did not make an appointment

I did not make an appointment. Somehow they got my information and called to announce that I have an appointment, from a doctor who is NOT my doctor. For 3 weeks I have been trying to get them to leave me alone. They agreed to "cancel" the appointment and now they call to "reschedule". I will be watching my insurance billing carefully as I think this is headed to a fraudulent billing.

Scheduling error and poor customer service

I just showed up for a scheduled appointment at 19th Ave. & Glendale to have 4 MRIs done. After psyching myself up for a long appointment as well as taking off work, I was told that they couldn't do 3T MRIs at that location. The staff said they didn't even have my orders on file and they insinuated that I must have called them and scheduled it at the wrong facility. How would I even know what to schedule the appointment for? I told them their scheduler CALLED ME after pre-authorization was obtained and booked the appointments at their location. When I asked why their scheduler would even send me there, she said I don't know, I'm not a scheduler. I don't appreciate them trying to shift the blame on me. They clearly had my orders when scheduling the appointment and they had my doctor's information because they supposedly called them yesterday (a Sunday) to verify the 3T orders (which again, how did you know it was 3T if you didn't have the orders?). Then to make matters worse, they lied and said they left me a voice mail message about it. Have they forgotten that cell phones log call activity? I never received a phone call or a voice mail. They need to own up to their mistakes and stop trying to blame the patient. Very frustrating experience and I'll never go to that location again.

I went to get my left knee x-rayed 10…

I went to get my left knee x-ray 10 days ago. It has been more than seven working days, no report has been generated yet. I made three phone calls and physically went to the location to check my results. They couldn’t find it. I’m still in the process of getting my report.

AVOID: Delayed and worse yet Incomplete Results

While SimonMed on-site technicians are capable and friendly the end result was insufficient.
Whoever they hire to read CTs, MRIs and PET scans are clearly either not competent or overloaded with work.
I had all (3) services and in each case, I had to call in to expedite results after a week. Even worse, I had a CT with contrast from another provider and found out another growth was missed. The surgeon relooked at the MRI from SimonMed and said it clearly showed up on that image. It was also on the PET/CT. However in all reports SimonMed only mentioned one growth. Their specialists did not care about the customer. I should be refunded as I had to redo their work. DO NOT USE this company if you want accurate results.

They are in for the Money

Both my wife and I went in for the same procedure and we keep getting billed for my wife's procedure as they put in the wrong code and it's like pulling teeth getting it resolved with them even putting our bill to a collection agency when it's their fault. Talked to a woman at Simonmed who told us she would take care of it because of the code problem but that doesn't seem to have taken place or helped. Will no longer use Simonmed though I don't think they will care but hope other will avoid them also.

Good medical professionals, predatory business

The medical staff at this facility provided great care and were genuinely kind and professional. However, their business side of the operations are nothing short of predatory. Before my MRI, I did my due diligence, confirming coverage multiple times, including the morning of my appointment. Each time I was assured everything was covered. Then months later, I was blindsided with a massive $3,100 bill.

Attempting to resolve this issue revealed the facility's true colors. The caring staff who helped during my procedure are completely walled off from billing issues. Instead, you're pushed to what appears to be an outsourced appeals and billing operation that treats patients like adversaries. The stark contrast between the compassionate in-person care and the cold, dismissive billing department is jarring. They employ classic deny, delay, defend tactics, leaving patients feeling powerless and frustrated.
If you have a billing dispute here, prepare to shout into a void. Your concerns will be met with indifference if they're acknowledged at all. While the medical care was great, the complete lack of accountability and support afterward has turned this into a nightmare experience.

Save yourself the headache and find a facility that offers compassionate care throughout the entire process, not just during the procedure.

Incompetence of Staff-Wrong Information Given- Would Not Recommend Going to This Facility

My cardiologist sent a referral for a cardiac mri to be done at SimonMed Imaging in Bradenton Florida. It was accepted by them and I received a call from scheduler Carlos to set up an appointment. After 20 minutes on the phone with him getting my personal info he then tells me that SimonMed does not do a cardiac mri at their facility. Now this should have been told to my cardiologist when he first sent the referral and also to me before Carlos took all my information in the beginning. I also received an email after this that I need to call to schedule an appointment with them. I called back and spoke to Mike at scheduling department and he confirmed that SimonMed does not do cardiac mri's and he said will cancel this request so I do no longer get texts or emails. This whole issue was a waste of time due to the incompetence of their staff. They should have know from the start that their facility does not do cardiac mri's from the referral they received. I needed to have this mri done asap which was of great importance to my cardiologist and now a facility that handles this request needs to be found. Very disappointed and I will not return to SimonMed Imaging in the future!
