Really impressed with this gym... It has a great range of equipment, good atmosphere, and is always clean and well maintained.

Andreas Georgiou was one of the main reasons I decided to join… I’ve really enjoyed my personal training sessions with him. He’s knowledgeable, motivating and makes each session enjoyable!

Absolutely love this gym! The facilities are excellent, the atmosphere is great, and everyone is really welcoming. I actually joined because of Andreas Georgiou, and I’m so glad I did. I really enjoy my personal training sessions with Andreas — he’s knowledgeable, motivating and always pushes me to get the best out of myself. He’s made training enjoyable and helped me stay consistent with my goals.

There is a PT here, Andreas @ Cheltenham, with a very concerning online presence which is homophobic and sexual in nature. I cancelled my membership over this and am quite disappointed to see that this PT is still employed/working at the gym.

EDIT: You have the audacity to flag my comment as "Harmful or illegal content"? For highlighting one of your PTs publicising homophobic sexual content on the internet. It's your choice to plaster their face all over your website. That obviously creates some kind of implied commercial connection...

There is only2 things that annoy me.
1.onthe cable machines the hooks keep vanishing
2. The free weights of the same weights are different sizes, be nice if colour coded to make finding them easier.
Both are not important but just annoying.
Otherwise it great

The gym is very poorly run, the team are always on phone. It’s run basically by children who use it as a hang out. The equipment is missing, weights never un racked and no safety or respect for the place. Shame after the renovation.

I emailed multiple times about my concerns and you didn’t do a thing. The amount of people that have left recently is crazy and I told you that in the last email. You played it down. Management don’t care nor do staff and that shows as the people who use the gym don’t care. You have no standards as a company

You clearly don’t have the standards if your team just shrug them off. Let’s take the lack of footwear, I watched the manager of the gym not say a thing as the two girls walked out of the gym changing rooms in socks and walk across the gym and workout.

Employees when not working don’t even return their weights and tidy up. You can pretend but you won’t get far as many have left now and this is because your gym has no standards, employees don’t respect who they work for and this makes people that use the gym abuse it.

I’ve been a member at Simply Gym Walsall for almost six years, and the decline in the facilities has been unbelievable. The ladies’ changing rooms are genuinely awful. The temperature control doesn’t work, three out of four showers may as well be decorative, and the water temperature swings from freezing to boiling in a split second — which is dangerous, by the way.

During the summer, the smell in the changing rooms has been unbearable. Nothing has been improved, nothing has been maintained, and nothing seems to be a priority. After six years, I’m honestly shocked at how far the standards have fallen.

When I went on the first day, no one was willing to train me, and for the first week I just watched people do the exercises and use the machines. I had no idea if I was doing it right or wrong.

Great gym - especially since the refurb! Good space, fab equipment and facilities. Classes are good and lots to offer. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of PTs to choose from if you need extra support and guidance.

I always enjoy my time at Simply gym, I used to be a member for a long period of time but a house move has caused me to change where I workout, my brother is still a member at the Simply Gym and so I occasionally come and get a day pass to workout with him.

I’ve been using Simply Gym East (Swindon) regularly, but unfortunately the standard of equipment maintenance has become really disappointing.

Several treadmills have now been out of order for around two weeks, the Smith machine has been broken for over three weeks, and the dual cable machine has also been unavailable for more than a week. These are all popular pieces of equipment, so when multiple machines are out of action for this long it has a noticeable impact on training, particularly during busier periods.

The drinks machine is another recurring frustration. It always seems to be full of drinks that nobody buys, while the more popular options regularly sell out and aren’t replenished often enough.

I understand equipment breaks and repairs can sometimes take time, but when members are paying a monthly fee, weeks at a time without key pieces of equipment simply isn’t good enough. There needs to be much more urgency around repairs, maintenance and keeping the facilities properly stocked.

The gym itself has a lot going for it, but these ongoing issues are letting it down.

Visited towards the end of the day (6pm) was busy but plenty of machines spare . Plates were spread about and not that easy to locate but to be expected with how many people use the facilities. Staff were polite and everything was clean.

The customers service is excellent, especially for someone who has never been in a gym before
