Driveway was done last April after chasing the company for months after the deposit. The owner Manasa completely ignored us and does not respond to calls or emails. We now have cracked pavers & the resins is coming off the driveway. We need our money Refunded.

This company belongs in a circus. Less than 2 years ago they did my driveway and I now have pot holes and loose clippings everywhere. What they promised and what they do are completely different. This company needs striking off and all the people who are owed money to get compensated myself included. DO NOT TOUCH THEM FOR ANYTHING THEY KNOW NOTHING EXCEPT HOW TO SCAM PEOPLE ……

Further to my previous review on 22.2.24:
Bailiffs were unable to get any money back.
I have 3 CCJs against this company, owned by Manasa Mamidi. She is the sole director.
I also have 3 high court writs against them.
She has basically stolen over £10,000 from me.
Her solicitors agreed that £1000 per month would be paid back. That was in March 2024. I have not received a penny. I chased her up personally when no money was paid back. She assured me she would start making the payments, she has not paid me a penny.
This woman knows how to work the system and the law is a complete ass where debt is concerned.
Do not get involved with her or any company she may be involved with for any reason.

I was legally entitled to a refund of my £2500 deposit but after 18 months of chasing this has never been refunded. I have appointed bailiffs armed with a High Court Writ, but they are unable to recover as the Trading Address is a vacant office.
Companies House is looking to close down Skean Homes Ltd, but I'm sure they/she will start up again under another name!

They are now trading as barque home improvements Ltd.
I have been scammed out of almost £3000.
Do not have anything to do with this lot. They are professional scammers.
They prey on vulnerable people.
Trading Standards are onto them.
(Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch council and Devon and Somerset councils.
They promised full refund. Told trading standards will give me a refund.... I'm still waiting.
Court action will follow...

Trying to get our money back for over a year now
She admitted full liability ordered to pay by Oct 23 and the bailiffs have just visited but it was the registered office and no assets available

Failed to refund deposit of £1,100 - after over a year of my trying to get it back. I’d cancelled after suffering ill health and felt I couldn’t cope with the disruption. Manasa Manadi at first ignored me then tried to persuade me to go ahead. I had learned that a job they had done in my neighbourhood was cracking up so definitely wanted to cancel. After repeated requests that were ignored I issued a County Court Judgement costing me £80. Nothing heard by the deadline. I expected to receive the money but no. I then found that shortly before my application for CCJ the company had changed address. I then found that I had to go through a complicated process of cancelling and reissuing the CCJ. I’m at this stage now and I would have to pay a further £111 if I go ahead, also the forms are so complicated that I’d have to seek advice. I see also that many others have successfully served CCJs on this company and they have not paid up. Most applicants gave up I guess , and one reviewer here is going as far a getting the bailiffs. The company know how to get away with this sort of thing and know that the County Court is pretty useless - they don’t enforce payment, the system is rigged in the favour of the rogue company.

We paid Mansa Skean Homes £2250 deposit to remove a step and renew resin paths to make easy access for my disabled wife in wheelchair last march no work done have asked for money back but she refuses to answer my calls so unless we go to court we won’t get it back

4 months from insisting on large deposit, 3 men who spoke little English, spent 3 hours laying tarmac and did a very rough, rushed job for which further payment was insisted on. Our driveway looks awful, people who visit us still asking when it will be finished!!! Of course no result from our complaints to Shean Homes. Do Not Ever Use This Company. We have reported them to Trading Standards.

We had spray foam insulation done in November 2023 and, despite repeated attempts via email and telephone, Skean Homes are reluctant to provide a guarantee for the work. This is unacceptable.

So pleased with the spray foam insulation. House feels so much cozier, and the staff was friendly and professional.

From start to finish, the team was fantastic. Our new windows are perfect, and the house is warmer now.

Do NOT touch this company. After having a driveway installed in March we now have two cracked pavers. I have tried to contact Mansa by text and voicemail to no avail. I have given her every opportunity to rectify our issues but she is not willing to entertain any communication. I implore anyone thinking of using this company to find a UK led local company. One that has a reputation and not lists of bad reviews. We did not do our homework sadly. This is a terrible company with really bad ethics and worker rights. Do NOT get involved.

Skean Homes Director Manasa Mamidi visited us twice and enticed us to have our driveway redone with tarmac with a deal that to get, we had to sign up for that day, 03/11/2023. She stated the job would be done in January. We had to continually chase her to get the job done and we thought she had scammed us out of the £2320 we had paid upfront by bank transfer as part payment for the job. After many phonecalls she agreed to start the work in early March. The day came and that morning 2 men with rather poor English cleared the old driveway of moss and weeds. Manasa said she couldn’t get the tarmac from her usual supplier and was getting it from Exeter she also said there would be 6 or 7 men to do the job. The tarmac lorry turned up at 2.30pm and 1 other man. The job was rushed with 2 men using wheel barrows to dump the tarmac and 1 man using the roller. It is a big driveway and it was obviously rushed and not laid smoothly as we pointed out to them. Manasa contacted and she insisted the remaining payment of £2000 paid by bank transfer that evening in order that she could pay the men, we told her we were not happy about the finish, She and partner came to look at it 2 days later and said leave it a fortnight to settle!!! Of course there was no change to the state of the surface after 14 days and on complaining we were told she would fix it. Since then she has refused to answer phonecalls, text message or emails.
We have been informed by 2 other professionals in this line of work that there should be a smooth top coat to finish it correctly. To make matters worse we were waiting for the work to be done as we needed to put our property on the market and now think the drive looks worse than before.
We intend to contact Trading Standards, Watchdog and Bournemouth Police.

Do not go near this company, Rogue Traders, have been trying to to get my money back for almost a year, have been promised it but never received a penny back yet, now in hands of the courts. Steer well clear is my advice.

Just applied for High Cout Writ and appointed bailiffs to recover a rightful refund. Have already obtained a CCJ, but Manasa & Co appear to ignore.

The team that made our tired and cracked concrete driveway into a resin finished great looking driveway did a superb job .Their attention to detail was excellent a team to be proud of.

Manasa Mamidi, owner and sole director of Skean Homes Ltd, took 3 deposits from me in May 2023 for a large driveway job. She produced very detailed plans and spec for the work. This was scheduled to start on 21.8.23.
She told me that she owned machinery and had 2 teams of men working for her, a man called Darren was her number one man for my job and in charge of one of her teams. This was not true. She does not own machinery or anything else and Darren is a contractor.
There were a lot of communication problems running up to the job start and Darren who visited to look at the work told me that he was away on holiday for the dates I had been given and he then got in touch and told me that he did not have funds from Manasa to do the job. She then told me that one of her other teams would be doing it.
On the Friday evening before the job start day of the following Monday a man who I had never spoken to before rang me from Skean Homes telling me that I would have to pay more for the job. Manasa did not respond to my efforts to contact her by phone and email.
Skean Homes did not turn up to do the work. It was clear from all that had gone before that there was no intention or ability to to do the work. I asked for my deposits back but got no response.
I went to the small claims court. I have 3 judgments against Skean Homes for the deposits and Manasa stated that she would pay immediately. I have not received any payment. I am owed over £10,000.
I have had to issue 3 writs and send bailiffs. They have not been able to secure any payment from Skean Homes or Manasa Mamidi.
I have seen that there are many other people in the same situation, reporting the same experience. This leads me to believe that this is a scam or fraud operation. I believe the next step is to go to the police in Bournemouth where she is based. Could all people affected please also go to the police and also try to contact me so that we can show that this is a fraud model that she is running.
I am also going to contact BBC Watchdog and Rip Off Britain. Please, everybody that has been affected by this dreadful company, do the same.
To everyone else, please do not get involved with this company or Manasa Mamidi.

This company should not be allowed to operate. Dont believe a word they say and certainly do not trust them.
My elderly mum was left over £6000 out of pocket for a resin driveway that they could not fulfil. They promised refunds that never materialised and even had the nerve to ask for more money.
After alot of stress, time and perseverance we managed to get the money back making chargebacks through the bank.
I dont understand how Manasa can treat customers this way and get away with it. Definitely rogue traders and avoid at all cost.
