At Smartly Said, every ceremony begins with a simple belief, that every life and every love story deserves to be heard, understood and expressed in a way that truly feels right. Whether I am working with a family to create a meaningful farewell, or with a couple planning their wedding day, my role is to listen carefully, guide gently and shape something that feels personal, thoughtful and completely individual. No two ceremonies are ever the same. Each one is built from real stories, shared memories and the small details that make a person or a relationship unique. It is never about following a template, but about creating a moment that reflects who you are and what matters most. Reviews mean a great deal to me, as they come from the people I have had the privilege to support at some of life’s most important moments. If you are considering working with me, I hope these words from others offer reassurance, and a sense of the care, professionalism and warmth I bring to every ceremony.

Richard supported our family and we…

Richard supported our family and we could not of done it without him.

He put you at ease, and somehow managed to bring out the stories and memories that really mattered . He was able to create something special, a service that he delivered with dignity and kindness .He supported us to be able to say our goodbyes Friends and family said how special the service was .

Richard supported us so well

Richard supported us through one of the hardest times our family has faced, and we honestly couldn’t have done it without him.

He has a very natural way of putting you at ease, and somehow manages to ask all the right questions to gently bring out the stories and memories that really matter. What he created from that was something incredibly special, a service that felt completely true to our loved one.

On the day, he delivered everything with such kindness, dignity and quiet confidence. We felt supported throughout, and able to just be present and say goodbye.

We’ve had so many comments from friends and family about how meaningful the service was. Richard has a real gift for what he does, and we’re very thankful we found him.

A personal and meaningful service

Richard recently conducted the funeral service of our son. When Richard visited us at home he listened, understood and was sensitive to our needs which made the intimate family farewell truly personal and valued. Thank you Richard for your warmth, support and compassion, so appreciated.
