Smeg range cooker,,utter rubbish

Smeg range cooker,,utter rubbish. Paid 50% more for a smeg from the next one in curry's thinking it has a reputation and will give me years of stress free cooking. WRONG. Within 6 months circuit board fail ,smeg came and fixed it no problem, in the next 2years probably 4 more break downs ,I told them to take it away and swop it, they did, next one delivered, lasted about 18months then same issue, out of warranty but as a good will gesture they fixed it. December 2025 same problem, rang smeg and no joy,gave me a number of a local engineer they came out ,changed pcb and door switch on 23rd December costing me £380 then on 18th April 2026 broke down again ,rang the local engineer and told parts only have 3 months warranty, so I'm looking at another £380.
Do not buy smeg, its a brand name that can't produce a quality item

Like I stated before the product was…

Like I stated before the product was purchased 3 weeks ago and is already melting on the top causing a fire risk, health and safety risk and a hazard. So you are telling me if people buy kettles they’re not allowed to leave the country? You have your policies but remember there are laws and regulations above your policies that have existed for hundreds of years, so if you are selling a faulty product to me and I report it within 3 weeks that its a defect, without even asking for evidence you brushed it off with an excuse oh its outside uk we don’t care, that’s what you did, you don’t even care to ask for what happened? Any proof? You just brushed it off, as a business thats how you care for customers? I paid a lot money for this product and in 3 weeks it turned faulty and as a business you did not even ask if anything was harmed? Your product lid started melting and you straight away said oh we don’t care its not in uk? Thats what you call legitimate business?

There are standards and procedures in UK, you by the law are required not to sell defected products that can cause a hazard, you by law are required to make sure the customer receives a working product and what you are doing right now is simply a scam, since you did not even care to ask for details in the email that was sent by Charlotte, I requested contact details to raise this further and that has been ignored.

You are basically stating if you leave the country the kettle cannot? That’s not what UK consumer law says, you are now selling faulty products and not bothering to investigate or even ask for evidence neglecting the fact, on top of that causing distress by hiding behind your policies which are not above the law.

Following a faulty door on my Smeg cooker I was delighted that Smeg immediately sent a new cooker, installed it and removed the faulty unit. Superb service.

great customer service

Great Product and Service at Smeg St James…

Me and my wife went to Smeg St James branch and what a show room to view a Victoria Cooker! All the great appliances all in one place was just wonderful to see! Kelly approached us and asked if we were looking for anything specific and we mentioned the cooker. She led us downstairs and and there was a pale blue Victoria Cooker which was just fantastic. Kelly answered all our questions and I mentioned we have seen it slightly cheaper elsewhere so Kelly said she will ask the Manager if they can price match. The cooker was price matched while we continued browsing and Kelly arranged my invoice and payment. I asked for a VAT receipt and Kelly sent me a version with all the details via email later in the day. Awesome service, very pleasant environment where everyone looks very happy. We will be going back as we will be buying more Smeg appliances for our new kitchen. Thank you to Kelly, you have been wonderful.

Warranty issue

To ask a simple question about a product before purchasing. No email no phone number only an AI bot that can't understand my question.
Which is asking about the clearance needed above the water tank in the combo microwave and no info in the manual or anywhere online

Great customer service

After recently moving into our new home, we decide to give our Smeg oven a self clean. Unfortunately the inside door glass shattered. We knew that the oven was only a couple years old, but had no paperwork to prove this.
After contacting Smeg customer services, their representative Jo, arranged for a new interior door glass, to be delivered, which has now been received and all within a week.
A big thank you to Jo and Smeg for being so helpful and understanding.

I bought a coffee machine from SMEG 6-7 months ago and it was showing some errors so I contacted customer service and they dealt with very efficiently. Jocelyn, in particular, was fantastic in keeping me updated throughout the process. Really happy with the product and the customer service.

I phoned up regarding a broken part

I phoned up regarding a broken part on my machine Louise sorted it for me to receive a goodwill replacement thus negating the need to return the machine as it is an easy fix allowing me to continue enjoying my morning coffee 😊😊

I had a faulty coffee machine…

I had a faulty coffee machine originally purchased via Amazon. To their credit, SMEG supplied a replacement directly.

However, the replacement developed the same fault, which SMEG has acknowledged.

At that point, things went downhill.

SMEG is now refusing to repair or replace the faulty replacement machine, citing “logistical issues” with my location (Guernsey), and has suggested I go back to Amazon — despite the fact that Amazon did not supply the replacement unit.

I have clearly set out that:
• SMEG supplied the replacement directly
• SMEG has accepted it is faulty
• SMEG is therefore responsible for providing a remedy

Despite this, they have:
• refused to act
• provided no legal basis for their position
• and have now stopped responding altogether

This is extremely disappointing from a premium brand.

Supplying a defective replacement product and then refusing to remedy it — while directing the customer elsewhere — is not acceptable.

I am now left having to escalate the matter further to resolve what should have been straightforward.
