We have had a Smith Thompson security system over 10 years.Since the beginning we have been plagued with false alarms going off. While away on vacation the police were even called at different times (on different trips) since no one was home to deactivate the alarm or available to speak with. When the repair service is called out, we are charged $79 to be told they can’t fix the problem unless we replace all their equipment at our own cost. They can’t even narrow down which sensor is the problem. We are now buying our own security cameras to monitor ourself and saving the cost and trouble of dealing with their faulty equipment and false alarms. I will say they are very fast to respond to alarms, just that our equipment has always been faulty and even after 2 repairs calls, it remains faulty.

our land line was about to be obsolete so we needed to go wireless. we contacted our security company and they said we needed all new equipment and the price would increase from $20 to $ 50 a month. we said we need to shop around. a friend of ours suggested we call Smith Thompson so we did. we got our wireless connection and a new keypad for $90. Andrew our installer was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. we like to pay by the year which yielded us a 1 month free discount. my wife and i were very impressed with Andrew and Brittany who we spoke with over the phone setting up the appointment.

Service was excellent. Noel was very knowledgeable and clearly explained his findings, the steps needed for repair, gave upfront pricing, and was thorough. He cleaned the work area, was polite, and got the job done in a very reasonable amount of time. I will be calling Smith Thompson for any future HVAC issues we have.

Well done! Noel noticed a slow plug leak inside and tightened the plug. Heard noise from connector outside and check showed it low. Replacement was done quickly along with replacement of capacitor which also tested low. Preemptive is better than outage in heat of summer or cold of winter.

The tech did a very thorough job. I have confidence that they will execute the repairs properly. Alan is an excellent tech.
