Excellent Service

My experience with Sokin has been excellent, largely due to the outstanding support provided by Mohamed Chaouachi. From the beginning, Mohamed demonstrated a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

What really stood out was his willingness to go the extra mile. Mohamed was always available to answer questions, provide clear guidance, and ensure that everything was handled efficiently. His communication was prompt and transparent, giving me confidence at every stage of the process, especially when dealing with international payments.

If there is any area for improvement, it would be to ensure that this level of personalized support is consistently available to all clients, as it adds real value to the service.

Overall, I highly recommend Sokin, and I would especially highlight Mohamed Chaouachi for his exceptional customer service and support.

Great Customer Service

I was onboarded by a customer service agent named Precious. She was friendly and communicative through email and was quick to answer my questions. I opened a business account and the entire process took 5 business days. I am hoping that the functionality of the Sokin Site is as good as their onboarding.

Smooth process and incredible support

What a refreshingly smooth process! After being recommended to Sokin I’m really impressed with their overall onboarding & platform. Easy to use, several great features and full xero integration. Magic. I’m particularly amazed with the responsiveness and support from Mohamed who could not be more helpful and responds in minutes to any requests. Never experienced that with a bank before 👍👍👍

Account blocked, €8,000 stuck, 6 weeks with no answer

This company is behaving in an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable way.

They suddenly blocked my account, which only had £175 on it, while I was also expecting incoming payments of around €8,000 from my clients. After freezing the account, they told me I would receive an answer within 3 weeks.

It has now been 6 weeks, and there is still no resolution and no clear explanation.

Support keeps ignoring the actual problem. Every few days they send the same generic reply telling me to “please wait”. That is all they do — just stall and delay.

Meanwhile, my clients have been waiting for 6 weeks to receive their money back, because the payments are stuck due to this account block. I repeatedly asked them to simply return the funds to the senders, but they refuse to do even that.

This is completely unacceptable behavior for any financial company. Right now it feels like they are holding other people’s money without providing any solution or timeline.

If you value your money and your clients, stay away from this company.

Read this before doing an application for an account.

Extremely concerning lack of transparency and questionable data practices

This company presents itself as a regulated and trustworthy financial service provider, however my experience raises serious concerns regarding transparency, jurisdiction clarity and data protection practices.

The most alarming issue is the complete inconsistency in their regulatory and legal positioning. They present themselves as operating under UK frameworks while simultaneously justifying data retention under Canadian legislation. As a potential client, this creates a serious compliance red flag. A legitimate financial institution should be able to clearly state under which jurisdiction it operates and which regulatory authority supervises its onboarding and data processing activities.

My application was rejected and no account was ever opened. No contractual relationship was formed, no services were delivered and no customer relationship ever existed. Despite this, the company claims it can retain extremely sensitive personal and financial data for multiple years under vague compliance arguments without providing precise statutory references or regulator verification.

The onboarding process requires excessive amounts of highly sensitive documentation, including financial records and identity verification materials. Once submitted, there appears to be no meaningful transparency regarding where this data is stored, who has access to it or how it is processed internally or externally through third parties.

When requesting deletion of my data, the responses received were generic, evasive and heavily reliant on broad compliance language rather than providing clear legal justification or accountability. For a company operating in the financial sector, this behaviour is deeply concerning.

The entire experience gives the impression of a data collection funnel rather than a professional financial onboarding process. The lack of clear regulatory accountability combined with aggressive data requirements and refusal to delete data after rejecting an application should make any business extremely cautious.

There are significantly more transparent and reputable alternatives in the market that clearly explain their regulatory framework, onboarding requirements and data handling responsibilities.

Proceed with extreme caution.

Be careful with Sokin Bank. They mainly focus on collecting your personal and business information, and the process leads nowhere. Very poor experience and a complete waste of time. I do not recommend them

Sokin was different, They actually took the time to review my application properly and reviewed my website, unlike the other services which reject without even look at it
Although I didn't continue with them due to internal problems from my side
