When we first reached out to Pablo, we were in the Netherlands simultaneously navigating Spanish immigration, closing a business, and trying to pack up our lives. Housing was too critical a piece to let this falloff. We knew we needed someone we could trust to be our eyes and ears on the ground in Madrid, and that's exactly what he was able to do for us.

Pablo took ownership of the entire housing search from his end right from the start. He did a great job of profiling us to make sure to understand our lifestyle, and what we were looking for. What was obvious pretty quickly was how well he knew the city, not just neighborhoods in broad-strokes, but the character of specific parts of specific neighborhoods. We gave him a fairly demanding set of constraints: top floor or high up, a terrace, dog-friendly, proximity to green spaces, and it all had to work within our budget. Each requirement was manageable on its own, but together they narrowed things considerably. He really helped us focus on parts of Retiro, Chamberí, Prosperidad, and Jerónimos, and that focus cut through the competing noise in a way we likely couldn't have managed from afar.

Before moving here we really only knew Madrid superficially. We sort of knew the kind of neighborhood environment we wanted, or rather the kind we didn't want, and Pablo was very good at helping us articulate that and stay honest to it. There were options that looked wonderful online but weren't right for us in ways that weren't obvious from a listing, and he helped us step back and see the bigger picture instead of getting swept up in a nice-looking apartment in the wrong place.

All of this was managed remotely. He was quick to send options from Idealista, organized video tours, and took careful note of everything we needed to be paying attention to that might not have been on our radar. We managed to line up most of our viewings for a single day, and on that day he had car trouble. Instead of rescheduling, he made his way through the city by train, taxi, and at one point hopped on a bike share to sprint across Retiro to make sure he didn't miss a single appointment. That moment told us everything we needed to know about how seriously he takes his work.

We eventually had filtered down our options to two strong finalists in the same area, both a 9/10 for us, which meant we couldn't lose. We submitted both applications simultaneously. One never went anywhere, and we ended up successfully signing with the other after some back and forth. Pablo managed the contract negotiations throughout, advocating for us on several terms while we focused on getting ready for the actual move.

Then came moving day. We had arranged airport transportation, and the night before we got word it had fallen through. We were buried in suitcases, trying to finish cleaning our old apartment, and started to lose it. Pablo told us not to worry, and that we could count on him. He picked us up himself, helped us with our luggage (and our dog), drove us to the apartment, and made sure we were settled with the building administration before he left. That was definitely not in the service contract we signed with him. He did it because he could see we needed a hand.

Nearly a year later, we've completely fallen in love with this neighborhood. We occasionally wondered if we'd discover somewhere we liked more. We haven't. Pablo read us correctly, and we landed exactly where we needed to.

Could we have done all this ourselves? Probably. We both speak Spanish, and one of us had lived in Madrid before but in a different stage of life. But having someone who actually lives and breathes this city, this system, and this process, guiding you through it, is genuinely priceless and brought us peace of mind during a time of chaos. Pablo is a good person offering excellent service, and he's clearly in this because he wants to see people get settled well in Madrid. Anyone who gets to work with him is lucky. There should be a Pablo in every major city.

We found Pablo via his YouTube channel a couple of years ago and reached out to him as our move got closer. Even though we were moving to Madrid in August (... maybe the worst month to move as everyone is gone!), he managed to take us on and get us the #1 apartment on our wish list before we set foot in Spain. Up to this point, I would give Pablo 5 stars; however, he then helped us once we were here with our local registrations and utilities (...which included sitting on hold with an electric company for ages), so I'm going to add another star for that. 6 out of 5 stars.

Lastly, if you're reading this because you're considering moving to Madrid and wondering if you need some help -- in our experience, it really made the difference. We are intermediate Spanish speakers who do well in daily life but definitely ran into situations where fluency was necessary. Without Pablo, we would have been really stuck more than once. Can't recommend him enough.

Pablo did a fantastic job helping us move to Madrid! After taking the time listen to what we wanted in a property, he found us the PERFECT home for our family! He also helped us navigate the unfamiliar but necessary banking and residency requirements. His help was essential and made the process smooth and efficient. I’m writing this review with deep sense of relief and gratitude for everything Pablo Jurado has helped us to accomplish in Madrid.
My wife and I reached out to Pablo after watching his very informative YouTube video and after finding ourselves at an impasse after being totally let down by local real estate agents who have failed to meet any of the goals we set and leaving us in a terrible time crunch after 4 days of looking for properties with nothing to show for it.
We needed to purchase an apartment for our son who has moved to Madrid to start his 4 year degree at the University. We were very limited on time and needed to get him settled before the start of his classes.

He also connected us with a reputable and reliable currency exchange agent saving us tens of thousands of dollars in the process.
He is very personable, easygoing, with perfect English and is an absolute sweetheart.
He went above and beyond assisting our son with setting up his utilities, advice on everything Madrid and much more.
He’s worth every penny that he charges!
I believe that anyone attempting to purchase a property in Madrid or anywhere in Spain without a buyer’s agent like Pablo is likely to find themselves in a world of hurt.

I had an amazing experience with Pablo along my apartment hunting journey as an expat in a city where I don't know the language. Despite not knowing exactly what I wanted, Pablo guided me through every decision and provided tips along the way to find what I wanted, as well as filtering and hunting for the perfect place in less than one month.
