Linzi’s professional problem solving.
There was a bit of miscommunication between Spectrum & Motorpoint apparently but Linzi, who contacted me by callback, managed to get to the bottom of it which has now resulted in the claim going ahead in a positive way for us. She was so helpful. Now we’re just waiting on the car repair being booked in. The 4 star was because of the delay/miscommunication which nearly meant the repair not being covered; if I could just give a star rating for Linzi it would be 5. 👍🏻

Outstanding service
Outstanding service, dealt with Andrew who was absolutely brilliant. We had an alternator fail on our Land Rover Discovery and we were directed to a one of their approved repairers who were able to repair this in the same day.

When purchasing my vehicle I must admit…
When purchasing my vehicle I must admit I was sceptical about paying the additional costs for warranty, however, recently a fault kept alerting on my dashboard and with the help of spectrum my car was booked into a garage and repaired within 5 days of the initial fault appearing. Becky oversaw the claim from start to finish and not only was she sympathetic toward the issue but was so efficient and professional, nothing was too much bother. It’s a 10 star rating from me

I'm paying off an extended warranty…
I'm paying off an extended warranty with Motorpoint, and my 2018 Kia Sportage, after seven months of financing with Motorpoint, had a transmission failure. Spectrum has avoided repairs. My car was in the shop for over a week, and after a week, Spectrum said they wouldn't cover the costs, even though the repair costs $3,500. I never thought Spectrum could be so irresponsible. I've never been late with my payments, and I would never recommend Spectrum to anyone. Spectrum and Motorpoint are the worst.

Having reviewed the claim, we would like to clarify that your claim was not declined after one week, nor was a decision made to refuse repairs. The claim remained at the diagnostic stage while we worked with your chosen repairer to establish the exact cause of the gearbox fault.
The repairer initially reported symptoms consistent with an internal gearbox issue; however, further dismantling was required to confirm the failed component and determine whether the fault met the terms of the warranty. We contacted both you and the repairer on multiple occasions to explain that authorisation was required for the necessary strip-down process before a claim decision could be made.
As with all warranty claims, we require evidence of the cause of failure before we can assess cover. This is a standard part of the claims process and helps ensure claims are handled fairly and in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions.
We appreciate that being without your vehicle is frustrating, particularly when a significant repair may be required. However, we do not believe it is accurate to say that Spectrum avoided the repair. At the time of your review, the investigation into the cause of the gearbox failure had not been completed and no final coverage decision had been made.
