Speedy Roofing are absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend them enough! From my initial enquiry right through to the end, each and ever member of staff was incredible! They are all so friendly, polite and knowledgeable and do exactly what they say they will. As a customer I felt valued and listen to and we are beyond delighted with our band new roof! We needed roughcasting to one side of our property and received a reasonable quote from Speedy Roofing without any attempt to increase the size of the job beyond what was necessary. We agreed a timeframe and they kept in good contact and arranged it around our commitments as well as the weather. This is clearly a very professional team, working well together and respectful of us too. And the final product is super. I wholeheartedly recommend this firm.

Helpful experience from start to finish. Previously had a new main roof installation. Conservatory roof installers were friendly and efficient. A couple of snagging issues resolved within days. Highly recommend this company.

We had our long flat roof expertly stripped, then insulated and a sturdy new roof fitted. The guys were hard working and considerate and did a great job on the roof and also fitted a velux window.

I don’t like to leave reviews that could be detrimental to any business owner, but I felt it was necessary in this case.

Speedy roofing was appointed to re-roof a tenement property in Barrhead.
A survey was undertaken, with a quote and breakdown provided. Naively we did not query much as we put our faith in what we believed to be a component roofing contractor that would identify and undertake all necessary works to make good the roof.

When works started, the first alarm bell was when an owner crawled into the loft space and had to identify sarking boards which were not replaced – this was after the waterproof membrane had been applied.

Upon completion it became apparent what works had not been accounted for / highlighted to us that actually needed to be done:

• Facia boards – not replaced with UPVC or as a minimum painted
• Exposed Joist ends – not painted or capped to ensure future protection
• Gutter was cleaned but not renewed. Meanwhile water continues to cascade down the wall through the joints in the guttering.
• The access hatch to the roof was removed and tiled over, leaving no means of access onto the roof other than via the erection of scaffolding. We then had to pay another contractor to reinstate the access hatch.
• Re-leading of the chimney – x1 chimney not re-leaded, instead a plastic paint (or equivalent) was applied between the base of chimney and roof. The chimneys that had been re-leaded had been re-leaded substantially below the previous raggle, with the previous raggle being left exposed to the elements. The previosu raggle should have been pointed with cement / mortar to ensure it was sealed and no water could penetrate. I was told this was not part of their scope and not something that they do (despite the opposite being stated on their website). Instead, they applied a plastic point over the previous raggle as a “gesture of goodwill”.
• The chimneys themselves were not part of the scope, again, because they were not highlighted at the outset as something that needed to be fixed. To be clear, we would not have committed the spend that we had and excluded the chimneys if we were advised they were in a state of disrepair. Vegetation was growing out the mortar, they therefore required repointing and no doubt flaunching of the chimney stacks as a minimum.
• The majority of the chimney stacks did not have any chimney pots which will contribute to water ingress. Again, highlighted after completion of all the works. I was again told they don’t deal with chimney’s; I was also told that given the age of the building they wouldn’t be able to source pots (utter nonsense).
• The insurance backed guarantee provided does not cover the value of the works carried out.

Bear in mind the time spent coordinating with all parties to agree and retrieve payment, plus the fact we had paid for a wraparound scaffold x4 stories high which naturally forms a large part of the bill. It would be nonsensical to have omitted any works that needed to be done, particularly when the total cost was already tens of thousands of pounds.

We still have water coming in, which Speedy advise is coming from the chimneys. So, we are again in gathering quotes for further repair work.

I have now sold my flat a few days prior to writing this.

Overall, I would not recommend Speedy to anyone and advise anyone to avoid. Their marketing presence and upfront communication is about the only good thing worth highlighting.

Conmen - Roof was installed with broken tile underneath which caused water to pour over our gutters when raining, this caused damage to our roughcasting. Gutters wrongly installed which caused countless leaks again onto our roughcasting. Back pipe was snapped when they installed the roof, roofers also threw tiles off the roof damaging our window ledges, also tiles bouncing off the skip onto the road and into neighbouring front gardens. They are hard to get a hold of when there are problems, they don't want to know. I would avoid this sham of a company, the good reviews are obviously done by people working for the company or family friends!View less

Speedy roofing completed my new roof last Friday 19th June 2026, couldn't be happier with the finished product, makes my house pop. A big shout out to the two roofers Mickey & Kyle who worked tirelessly to get the job finished in adverse weather conditions, their a credit to the company, plus a big thank you to Euan, Grant & David from the office side for keeping me informed regarding the job progress. Arranged a survey & agreed to the quote in October 2025 of last year for a replacement flat roof. As they advertise on the TV we assumed they would be reliable & professional & have some assurance if things went wrong. Having been stung by cowboy builders before.
We have had to chase them constantly for a start date and have basically been ghosted by them. It’s now July 26 and we are having to look for other roof companies to do this job before the winter. This has wasted a lot of time as there is only a short window in the weather to get flat roofs done. Why string us along? if you couldn’t do the job or didn’t want it you should have just told us. Total waste of our time.

Kept informed at all times about delivery times and trades arrival. Roofers were professional in their work and cleared area at end of every shift. Would recommend to anyone needing roofing repairs.

Good communication from the start. Had to wait few weeks for an appointment but it was a fairly small job so we knew it would be accommodated when slot became available. Guys arrived on agreed day, they were really friendly and completed work as planned. Couple of small snagging issues but guys were back next day to fix. Overall extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend.

They did a first class job replacing my roof . The workmen were there on time as they said and worked very hard to get it done in good time. Very pleased with my upgrade.
