Thank you for your review although I must say, it’s HIGHLY unfair. We work with all local estate agents in Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh, a number in Witney and many in London and have never had any issues with inventory clerks & their checks. Moving items like the oven and photographing a piece of foil that you’ve found wedged behind it is far beyond the standards that even inventory clerks are looking for.
You provided me with some images of a 5-6 areas of the kitchen that we both agreed, were missed by the cleaning team (such as on top of the fridge) along with some pictures of areas that are not the responsibility of cleaners (such as black mouldy walls). I explained many times prior to the cleaning taking place that in such a dilapidated property we wouldn’t be able to work miracles and could only get the property back to a certain standard as the property is crying out for decoration and renovation. This was agreed with your previous tenant who mentioned there might be some unrealistic expectations from yourselves.
I explained all this via email and arranged a 7am return by the cleaning team the next morning to ensure the few areas that were mistakenly missed in pure human error were addressed before your new tenants moved in. On arrival, the whole property was in disarray- I have no idea why you chose to move every piece of furniture around, especially when a free of charge callback was arranged?! Anyway, as discussed at the point of booking, we always offer to return completely free of charge to rectify any oversights that may have been missed, however we do not offer free re-cleans of the whole property once someone has been in there, using the property and moving everything around which is all explained in our terms & conditions.
I do apologise for any inconvenience caused but I can’t help but feel it was totally brought on by yourselves - I can’t offer more than a free callback to rectify the areas that were missed but I cannot be held responsible for the AWFUL condition of the property. I also can’t understand why you wouldn’t just allow the cleaning team to re-clean the missed areas and instead chose to do it yourself when the offer is there for exactly this instance.
