Regular user of SQUID in all the coffee shops in my area especially. The app is regularly updated and easy to use for any ages. The new Wave Points feature is an extra way of getting my coffee and part of my weekly routine when shopping for groceries!

Hard selling techniques used to pressure you into signing up. Unsolicited phone calls which they make no apology for making.
Any company that has to push so hard to get customers is best avoided imo. No respect for privacy or time. Won't be signing up, and was very close to doing so. A lucky escape after reading others experience on here.
The App doesn't instantly record stamps…
The App doesn't instantly record stamps and today it didn't record scanned stamps at all.
The App expects you to always be connected to the internet when simply scanning stamps which is wrong... The App should simply record the stamp whether the customer is online or not and them simply sync down to the central Squid DB when the the customer is online.
The app has a "chat with support" feature which is simply a link to some articles with a basic AI frontend on it. So you can't even send them a message. Not good!
Extremely unprofessional to work with…
Extremely unprofessional to work with as a loyalty partner. We were with them from October 2024 to January 2025. They were under staffed and unable to respond to messages within 5-7 working days. When staff did respond it was a cookie cutter response with no actionable items. Promises of meetings with devs to flesh out the solution were never fulfilled. They also fence off any data request to your own customer base (as a retailer) blocking us (the retailer) from leveraging the data they are processing on our behalf. We were told that we were in the upper tier of their customer base but we certainly not accommodated as such by any standard.
You would be better off using traditional physical loyalty cards with a blend of a 3rd party marketing solution (Klaviyo, MailChimp etc) as opposed to being locked into a beta platform like this that lacks basic export functions and 3 dashboard "out of the box" reports that could otherwise be done in an excel sheet. The NFC tag is the only USP they currently possess however this could be achieved outside of Squid with a contracted dev whilst also allowing for API integration, which Squid totally lacks and refuse to engage on.
It might be suitable for a small time coffee shops but is pyrite to anyone looking to compliment their tech stack. They are being bottlenecked by incompetence and generally have and over-inflated value proposition like many tech companies.
