Design Initial Brisbane
Design Initial Brisbane, had a very comprehensive range of Stressless furniture which made it so much easier to choose the right chairs. Peter S's advice on fabric (we chose wool) and colour was invaluable.
The delivery was earlier than expected and the product exceeds expectations.
The chairs have changed the whole look of our lounge. Style and colour are perfect to complement our colourful rug.
As for comfort.......it's going to be hard to stay awake they are so comfy! Stressless is definitely the right choice!

Superb product and a superb service at Pfitzners Norwood.
We recently purchased two Stressless Mayfair model armchairs. They are so comfortable we do not want to get out of them. The value and range of chairs and other furniture in the Pfitzner Norwood showroom was very broad and reflected quality in a calm, pleasant environment. The knowledge, patience and effort that were made by the sales team to ensure our needs were met could not have been better. In addition, the quality of their delivery service and the helpfulness of the delivery men were also an absolute credit to their employer. Superb service and a superb product.

The Sofa arrived with the beautiful lines that chose it for.
The Sofa arrived well packed, undamaged and with the beautiful lines that we shopped for.
The initial searching / ordering was done at Domayne's new Macgregor show rooms. But, we have experienced Stressless lounge chairs for a decade.
The purchasing experience was spoilt by the retailers clunky payment and delivery system. It is the age of IT and yet we were being asked for verbal disclosure of credit card details, over the phone ! There were no ethernet outages, just sloppy business systems unable to show proof of payment, effecting the delivery stage.
In the end it was all sorted...delivered within the 24 hours of the pack landing at the store. It is our clunky banking payment systems that are not customer oriented.

More information less hype required
I love my Garda chair and footstool but they weren't supplied with any form of operational instructions. The short video on the Stressless website is hopelessly inadequate for transferring information. Stressless put too much emphasis on marketing and not enough on ensuring that the customer knows how to use the product to its full potential from day one.

good chair/ well made from quality materials
i recently purchaced two sunrise classic power chairs
after a trial at the shop and we were quite pleased with them at first .but as time went on we both realised they did not suit in some areas of ease of exit/elusive button control panel and buttons.
we would respectfully suggest you ad a lift feature that brings your buttocks and thighs parallell to the floor for ease of dismount at about 400/450mm.
we also found the headrest was designed to push your head forward onto your chest, thus closing the wind pipe which can be uncomfortable at times and promotes snoring at others ime told.

5 years comfort but a 10 year warranty, hmmm…
We purchased 2 Opal chairs in 2020 and enjoyed comfortable use of them for about 3 years at which time seat cushion compression became noticeable and discomfort began. This worsened over the next 18-24months to the point that we engaged Ekornes and their technician performed an assessment of the chairs. The chairs had regular normal use, were deemed to be in good condition (leather and mechanisms) but the seat cushion was assessed as ‘in need of replacement’. Stressless would not cover this defect under warranty as they consider it normal wear and tear - which begs the question: why provide a 10 year warranty for a chair (leather and mechanisms/structure) which becomes uncomfortable after 5 years of standard use?
My contention is that provision of a cushion which is fit for purpose (ie matches the warrantied lifespan of the chair) is a legitimate customer expectation…no one told us when purchasing that we would need to spend another $300 in 5 years to keep a $4000 chair useable. In my view failure to provide cushioning which matches the structural warranty of a chair is an error or fault in the process of manufacturing. Ekornes do not agree…

I purchased a Stressless Mayfair Star Base. It is comfortable to sit in, but it is squeaky and noisy.
Delivery was significantly delayed from the promised time, and when I inquired, it seemed like they had completely forgotten about it. They rearranged the delivery, but it was delayed again.

The outcome. Furniture is amazing, just the waiting was tedious. The Mary II Was told June, rolled over to early July. To be given a revised date then to be postponed a few more times.

Delivery Problem
This review is regarding our delivery experience.
We placed our order in January 2025 and were advised by the retailer that delivery should be in roughly 20 weeks. Happy with that.
Upon checking with the retailer in August 2025 they advised that the furniture had left Melbourne in May, but they didn't know where it was. Ultimately they did locate it but tried to advise us that it takes 2 months to get from Melbourne to Queensland. We found that hard to believe; also there was obviously no tracking by our retailer.
