StretchLab Novato: 2+ Years In, and I Keep Coming Back
I joined StretchLab in Novato over two years ago. Stress relief and a good stretch were the goals. What I got was a lot more than that.
In that time, the staff helped me work through a broken fibula and a damaged meniscus in my knee. Not physical therapists. Not a medical facility. Just a team that paid attention, took notes, and showed up every session knowing exactly where I was and what I needed. That consistency matters more than most people realize.
Over the past year I put in extra work on my own. The combination of that effort and what I built at StretchLab has changed my quality of life in ways I did not expect. I move better. I feel better. I recover faster. The results are not subtle.
What I appreciate most is that my stretchologist walks in prepared. No starting from scratch. No re-explaining my history. They know my body, they know my limitations, and they know how to push me in the right direction.
When I walk out the door after a session, I feel like I could run home.
For the record, I do not like running.
If you are in Novato (CA) and on the fence about trying StretchLab, get off the fence. The staff is excellent, the experience is personal, and the results are real.
Requested Cancellation Multiple Times, Still Charged
Contacted them multiple times, to cancel plan I signed up for in December.
Subsequently charged two additional times.
I don't have a problem with the staff, however, no one described the restrictive cancellation policy, and it's near impossible to reach a manager capable of discussing billing/charge issues, refunds, etc.
Although my account was finally cancelled, I am due $520.42 for two periods, and no one has since responded to my multiple emails, calls, or texts.
What kind of business practices are these? Why do they make it extremely difficult and confusing when trying to cancel your membership?
Scam. Stear clear.
Disreputable business practices
In my experience the new management at StretchLab Union Square are downright dishonest. I'd had a very positive relationship with my flexologist and the previous management for over a year. But upon medical advice, I had to undertake specific PT instead. I froze my account then cancelled. For whatever reason, when the new management took over months later, they continued to charge my card. I called and was assured by the young man with whom I spoke that after putting me on hold and consulting wth his manager, I would be refunded the charge and my cancellation would be honored. A month later, there was no refund but there was another charge! That's when the denials and evasion began. I was put in contact with a staffemember of another branch in Queens, wth no positive development other than having my cancellation implememted over the phone, something they previously said was not possible. So I'm out 2 month's worth -- nearly $500. Even my letter via the parent company's (Xponential Fitness) website to the President didn't prompt an answer. If you value your health and well being avoid the sharks at the Union Square StretchLab.
Really Enjoyed my Stretch Lab Sessions at Falls Church, VA
Enjoyed my intro session at the Falls Church, VA location with Kyle a few weeks ago and my first full session with Lindsay today. She was very knowledgeable and gave me a thorough “four block” stretch session. Also provided nutrition and core workout tips as we chatted, which were very helpful and definitely above and beyond what I expected. I will be booking with Lindsay again soon!
StretchLab is the most physically beneficial hour ofMy week
I have been going to StretchLab for several years and can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my health. My gait is greatly improved and I can now run up and down steps that before StretchLab kept me holding onto the railing and stepping sideways down the stairs. My stretch time with Diego is the best $ I’ve spent on my health and I attend a weekly 1 hour stretch. It’s by far the most useful physical hour of my week.
Had another great stretch at StretchLab…
Had another great stretch at StretchLab Aspen Woods with Tyson Francis. No two stretches are the same. He has customized each weekly stretch based on what’s going on with my body. Greatly appreciate his continued care.
WARNING !!!!
WARNING !!!!
We purchased about $2,000.00 worth of stretchLab credit, and we was explicitly these credits would not expire, which is why my husband bought a large package since we not here full-time and would use over time. for the last six months we have used about half if them, StretchLab wiped 50% of my credits due to a 6-month limit that was never disclosed. Dishonest and incredibly disappointing. Be warned to never buy credits as they have hidden expirations.
Total bait and switch. Bought a package under the promise of no expiration dates, only for StretchLab to take half of our money and cancel my remaining credits after six months. As a part-time resident, this is a scam. Do not trust their promises!
Stealing money- same thing happened to me as others
Started out great. Very pleased with the stretches and where helpful to relieve aches and pains. I then broke 2 ribs and broke my foot. Had to put services on hold- which they did without an issue. Until a month before I was told I would have to call back to restart or renew my hold, I received an email stating that Stretchlab had charge $349 to my credit card. I contact Stretchlab and was told that the "freeze" on the account was lifted and therefore I needed to pay for the next month. I explained I am still have issues with my foot and that we would be moving therefore needed to close my account and asked that the $349 be reimbursed. After several phone calls I was told that it is policy when a account is closed you still pay for the next month $349. I also said I wanted to close my husband's account and they said he would be charged $349 also. So, if you go to cancel your account beware you will be charged for $349- which they say you can come use or give to another friend. I am moving. I would not send my friend to this business. I am blocking the charges on my credit card as Stretch lab wants us to pay $700 for services not rendered. Basically stealing our money. Very poor business tactics.
PAYMENT DEMANDS UNACCEPTABLE
Hard to know if this place actually has value or not.
They clearly don't know how to do business. They claim to be a quasi-medical facility. I don't know about you, but I don't pay my doctor in advance for an appointment. Nor my dentist. Nor a massage therapist. These people wanted me to not only give them $50 IN ADVANCE, they wanted me to use a clearly insecure payment website to do it! They they had the audacity to suggest that I should just give them my credit card details OVER THE PHONE to someone!
I guess I won't be trying this place. All of that is just flat unacceptable.
Terrible business
There is almost no company I could recommend less. My suggestion: stay away from this place. Save your money. The therapy here is good, but their financial arrangements border on the criminal.
I have spent many hours and numerous contacts trying to resolve financial/credit issues with this company without any success. They require you to purchase a plan to get their services. The credits on this plan expire in one month, which they do not make clear at all. The employees are all short-term and rotate like the breeze. Three of my “flexologists” no longer work there, and there is a lot of value to continuity of service. I am so bitter with these people, I wouldn’t go back if they paid me - mad I did pay them a ton. Save your money and disappointment, and go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Not here!!!
Stretch Lab is a SCAM
The way i was treated by a local business was deplorable. The Stretch Lab in Concordia hopping center in Monroe is a scam. I bought a package as a gift, paid for them and received a certificate yesterday with the persons name on it. I was called that afternoon saying that they made a mistake but they would still honor it. Today I received a call that they don’t want me in the studio because I lied to them about who they were for and that I told them it was for 5 different people. Meanwhile the certificate has the one persons name on it. Horrible and deceptive business practice. Do not frequent this business.
I've been seeing them for a little over…
I've been seeing them for a little over a year to help with Parkinson's rigidity issues. I felt they were helping me to a certain extent.
Yesterday I recieved an email stating they are closing all their facilities in Tucson on Dec. 15th.
I personally had a very poor experience…
I personally had a very poor experience my introductory session was cut in half then before I even got my shoes on there pressuring me to buy additional services I had an overall very poor experience at this facility would not recommend.
I LOVE stretch lab
I LOVE stretch lab. Being a fitness coach I have sent so many clients to try it out too and they all are loving it and going back for more. Highly recommending. Thank you. Eva
stretching with them is great, but all else sucks.
stretching with them is great. it is their scheduling & billing system that is broken. ALL the company's employees/staff/stretchers refuse to admit the scheduling & billing system is broken. It works based on a 4 week month so when a 5th week month comes along you have no stretch even though their email says you do.. stupid, stupid, stupid... not just the scheduling & billing system, but all the StretchLab folk who keep trying to justify the broken system. i can't do this any more. there is nothing worse than a person who when faced with fact continues to lie.
Bruised and battered
I had been going here for months, it was nice; then there was suddenly a change management and it became the most terrible experience. My last session I left literally bruised. I called to cancel and the lady wants try to convince me to travel to a further location to try ago with someone else. I’m not paying for inconvenience, pain, or abuse.
Awful experience
Awful experience. Bad business practices. I am lazy to speak here but have all the credit card installment showing you the bad practices.
Their billing process stinks
Their billing process stinks. Unused time does not accrue for more than 4 sessions. Effectively their process bills you for work not performed.
Where are their contact details
Where are their contact details ? No email address. No phone number. They get your details through web based auto email, but they stay incognito. Try to unsubscribe and it as if they have you trapped and you can’t delete them. These predatory type practices are not to be trusted. I tried to service and found it to be overpriced and unimpressive.
Stretch your wallet even more so than your body
I went on military orders starting a certain date and notified them before that it would my last stretch. Assuming that my membership was canceled I never thought twice about it because nobody reached out to me asking if I was coming in for appointments. Then I find they're still charging my card and had been for every month since my last stretch. (Approx 4-5 months) When I try to reclaim the charges from my credit card it was then sent to collections for a massive bill meanwhile I hadn't spoken to them in that entire time. Supposedly your cancellation must be emailed to corporate? The employees who stretched were actually pretty good, just the billing and management was piss poor, IMHO.
