It is quite a good reference book, especially for graduate engineers who are unsure how to kick off their first design assignment. A good teaching material too, as it is so elaborate. QUITE AN EXCELLENT REFERENCE BOOK.

Module 2 breaks down how a junior engineer should design structural elements and it follows the load path from roof to the walls. Highly recommended for those just starting out in the industry and for a refresh for more experienced engineers.

Short and precise e-book, that explain the very basic steps of civil engineer's project design. The e-book contain example of small residential building that is usually been a task to solve by every civil engineer. The explanations are precise and using the references make reading very easy. Good job.

Laurin brings practical experience and real world insight into a predominantly theoretical field. Not many structural engineers are out there sharing value in this way. His writing is clear, concise and full of hard earned knowledge and insight.

I have been following his writing for years and it's improving all the time. Highly recommended.

Laurin manages to explain and highlight the fundamentals of structural design according to Eurocodes in a simple way along with other related structural design topics. Anyone who is teaching future structural designers should point their students to this website. The website is also very good for experienced designers like me to review and help me doing my own structural designs.
