We had a very memorable stay here during July '26 long weekend. The 2hr commute from GTA was scenic and easy. The kitchen is very well stocked and all furnishing is very nice. Cottage is newly renovated and beautiful. The sunsets were mesmerizing, and the water activities were so much fun for everyone. The BBQ on patio overlooking the lake was another highlight. Thoughtful ammeneties like a Dyson to quickly clean up after ourselves and laundry for a longer stay felt like home away from home. The host is very accommodating. Great neighbours too. We hope to come back every summer!

Amazing cottage and fantastic host!
We had an incredible stay here in July 2025. The cottage was amazing and spotless, with exceptionally clean beds and bathrooms. The views are beautiful, the dock is fantastic, and the lake itself was great. We also really enjoyed the excellent BBQ setup on the patio for outdoor meals.
Communication was top-notch from start to finish. Rafael was an amazing host who was helpful in every way possible. We would definitely stay here again!

We lucked out on finding this cottage and Rafael. From the beginning he was patient, genuine and clear with communication.

The cottage checked all our boxes, modern comfort, beautiful lake view and access to the water with activities. It was clean upon arrival, has outdoor dinning furniture, BBQ, lounge chairs, couch seating and a fire pit. All of which had beautiful views of the lake.

The water is clean and clear, very serene and beautiful. Could fall asleep on the dock chairs easily, basking in the idyllic surrounding with the sound of lake water splashing lightly. It was fun exploring the lake with the kayaks and paddleboard, enjoyed a few board games and movies. Neighbours are friendly and the wifi was consistent and strong.

The best part was seeing the northern lights, it was amazing and the best way to round off a great getaway. The stars were brilliant and plentiful, a view we miss from the City. We were lucky and saw a couple of shooting stars fly by, very cool.

We enjoyed our time immensely, it was the perfect getaway for our family, absolutely blissful. Much gratitude to the host and if fate allows, we will be back!

Amazing stay at the sunset nook cottage!! Beautiful unobstructed views of Shadow Lake. Beautifully renovated cottage with all the modern fixings. The kitchen was fully stocked, patio outside was massive with lots of furniture and umbrellas, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were modern but very comfortable. The dock also had two brand new MUSKOKA chairs and a shade umbrella, which was a great surprise. It was a pleasure working with Rafael on the booking. Great communication. I fully recommend booking this cottage!!

My friends and I stayed at the Sunset Nook for a weekend and had an amazing time. The cottage is beautifully designed with a modern aesthetic and was spotless upon arrival. The view from the deck is absolutely stunning—it was the perfect spot to relax and take it all in. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was super clean and the cottage is very well-equipped and comfy. The views were simply amazing. The lake and deck are super fun!

On top of it, the thoughtful touches offered as well as excellent communication with hosts made us feel super welcome.

Stayed here this past week for a girls week! This place is amazing! The views from every angle of this cottage are unreal. The cottage itself is beautifully done! Cleanest place I’ve ever stayed and the attention to detail is on point. The lake is peaceful and serene. The hosts are attentive and courteous. This place is a little piece of heaven. Can’t wait to return! Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Nook! The cottage was spotless when we arrived, and the hosts were so friendly and thoughtful — you can tell they really care about the details. The view is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. We’ll definitely be recommending this place and can’t wait to come back next year!

Ended up spending a week here. Spacious place for our group of 7. Great spot by the lake, with beautiful views especially in the morning. We were there in October which was too cold to swim for us but great for kayaking around the lake.
Fast and reliable internet access meant that some of us were able to work during our stay.

The main living area is spacious and fit all of us easily. Fully stocked kitchen and BBQ area was very convenient. The patio outside was especially nice for eating breakfast or morning coffee. Since the cottage is located a bit above the water it makes for some great views with the morning fog.

Area was very quiet and there is a fire pit as well for some evening smores.

Overall great time and looking forward to going back.

We stayed for 5 nights in July, and enjoyed everything the cottage had to offer. From the kayaks, noodles and SUP, to the games and very well stocked kitchen. The beds were super comfortable, the cottage was exceptionally clean and the view of the sunset over the lake is to die for.

Rafael and Juliana were incredible hosts, very communicative and did everything to ensure our stay was 5 stars.

We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone considering!

Amazing place! The lake is small enough that the water is not too cold, but large enough for paddling and some water sports. The cottage itself is brand new, has amazing decor and a huge deck with a view.

My wife, our dog, and I spent a weekend at Sunset Nook and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Getting there from the big TO is easy and the roads aren't jammed up, which starts the trip off on the right foot. The cottage is super clean, thoughtfully organized, and equipped with everything you need for a cozy, relaxing stay. We loved spending time by the fireplace, playing board games, and winding down with a movie on the TV. Lounging on the deck while grilling on the dual gas/charcoal BBQ is a dream come true for a getaway.

The hosts, Rafael and Juliana, are fantastic—laid-back, extremely responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. That level of communication really stood out and made the whole process seamless.

And the sunsets? Absolutely surreal. The view from the deck, with its glass railings and wide-open horizon, is special. It’s peaceful, quiet, and the perfect setting to unwind. Dock access was a great bonus, too.

Highly recommend Sunset Nook if you’re looking for a tranquil escape.

Spent a weekend at Sunset Nook with a group of friends. The cottage has been fully renovated in a fresh and modern way while still maintaining the cozy cottage feel.

The view from the living room of the lake is especially incredible; fantastic view of the sunset. The walk out onto a large, wrap-around deck with a BBQ and lots of seating was also a nice touch.

The host, Rafael, is the best and will make sure you're well looked after.

Highly recommend this place to everyone.
