Healing toward joy
RRR and the Fern Program absolutely changed my life. When I had nearly given up on healing from long covid, I found Suzy Bolt and colleagues. This is a beautiful, supportive, community-minded program. It is constructed and led by people who are on the same recovery journey. This is a holistic, healing home for those of us with chronic illness who want support and want to gather the tools we need to heal toward a more joyful life.
Incredible sessions
Incredible sessions. Really support me through long covid and learnt loads. Affordable. Can't recommend enough
I was so lucky to come across this programme
I was so lucky to come across Suzys programme 6 months into Long Covid. 5 years on and the programme has expanded so much offering all sorts of help including; yoga nidra, Breath work, mindfulness and a whole raft of other support.
Ive learnt so much about myself and how to take care of me. I don't know where I would have been without it and the wonderful friends I have made.
I will continue to do this work as I now know its what I need for life, which I am living life again and so very grateful to Suzy and all the gang.
LC recovery
Suzy and the entire RRR team are amazing. Such a miraculous gift that helped me through the early days of long Covid before my doctors really knew what was happening. Suzy provides community and care and excellent tools to promote recovery.
Amazing
Literally, life changing. So thankful and grateful for everything I have gained from Suzy Bolt and her team and programmes :-)
Wonderful long covid/ME/CFS community
I’m hugely grateful for having found the Rest Repair Recover community. It is a warm, supportive space of community and gentle classes tailored to specifically for those with chronic health conditions. There are a wide range of classes available through the week and on demand.
I’ve also done the additional Fern programme that has introduced me to new (at least to me) and emerging approaches to chronic health management and recovery. I’m already seeing changes as a result.
A Huge Help Alongside Medical Treatment
I have found Suzy Bolt's programmes incredibly helpful alongside medical treatment and would highly recommend them to anyone living with chronic illness (and anyone to be honest!).
I've completed FERN and have been doing RRR for 18months. A year ago I was completely housebound and struggling to cope with everyday life, i couldn't even get dressed or take a shower. I am still disabled and unwell, and I still need to pace carefully, but my quality of life has improved significantly.
One of the biggest changes has been my confidence and my relationship with my symptoms. Before, I had severe anxiety and felt like I was stuck in a constant state of fight-or-flight. I was very self-conscious about using my wheelchair or mobility scooter and often didn't want people to see me. Through the programmes and the support of the community, I've gradually become more accepting of my situation and more confident about getting out of the house. While my physical limitations remain, I am now able to do things that would have felt impossible a year ago.
One thing I particularly appreciated was that my symptoms were never dismissed. My health problems became a significant disability following a covid vaccine, which can sometimes be a difficult subject to discuss because of the stigma surrounding it. I felt listened to and supported without judgement. I also met other people like me. The programmes acknowledge that these are real physical symptoms while also teaching how the nervous system and neuroplasticity can influence how symptoms are experienced and maintained. And we can change these very real symptoms over time by re-training our brain.
The programmes are very much self-led. There is no pressure to do anything you are not comfortable with, and you can take from them what feels right for you and move at your own pace. I never felt pushed into exercise or activities that were beyond my current abilities. Lots of the time I just listen to the sessions like its a radio show, even turning up and doing 5 mins of breathwork helps.
One of the most valuable things I've gained is learning how to respond differently when my symptoms flare up. Before, I would often panic, which would make everything feel even worse as your nervous system is connected to both your physical body and your thoughts. Now when I feel myself becoming overwhelmed, I often hear Suzy's voice in my head saying, "I am safe in my body." It sounds simple, but it helps me pause, calm down and stop spiralling into fear. That shift alone has made a huge difference to my day-to-day life.
The community aspect has also been incredibly valuable. The live sessions are supportive and give you the opportunity to ask questions, learn from others and share experiences with people who genuinely understand the challenges of living with chronic illness. I've picked up many useful ideas and coping strategies from both Suzy and other members and hope i've given some that i've learnt back to others.
The programmes didn't cure my condition, but they helped me reduce fear, build confidence and improve my ability to cope with symptoms and daily life. Being able to cope with symptoms better has in turn improved my symptoms as i know when to pace & rest. They have given me hope, practical tools and a supportive community, and have been one of the most helpful additions to my overall treatment and management plan.
I genuinely dont think i would be where i am in my recovery without RRR and Fern.
Excellent support from teachers
Excellent support from teachers who understand chronic illness. I'm really pleased I found this program, I'm also aware that it's my responsibility to gauge my own abilities to engage in activities. I find it hard not to push myself. I'm grateful that many of the teachers remind us during class to listen to our bodies and do what's right for us individually.
I'm still testing my limits, and I find that some of the classes are too stimulating for my system, but that's ok, I'm pacing myself carefully, and these classes are an excellent resource.
Suzy Bolt is amazing
Because Suzy is the most amazingly multi skilled guide for us all, through the difficult journey that long covid is.
She runs excellent and very supportive courses and more 💕💕
Life-changing approach to healing from chronic illness
I came across Suzy Bolt’s programme during my third long Covid crash in 2024. I had tried so many programmes since falling ill in March 2020 and nothing had worked. I had never been so ill in my life, bed-bound with POTS and unable to look after myself. I came across an interview Suzy gave and took up the two week trial. At first I just lay in bed and listened to some of the classes; it was good to feel part of a community. Slowly I tried a little more - only what I could comfortably do without repercussions afterwards. Nobody in this programme will think any less of you if you just lie in shavasana for a whole yoga class. After a while I did the Fern programme. It’s life changing. I made friends I know will be with me for life. We laughed, we cried, we learned to reset our bodies into a state where it’s possible to heal. Two years on, I’m well, can manage my energy and am so so grateful to Susy and her amazing team.
Knowledge caring people who have…
Knowledge caring people who have support me over the past 6 years.
I was house bound with long covid but with their support I’m able to engage in everyday life more and have more fun and joy.
Some positives but caution needed
There are both positive and negative aspects to the Suzy Bolt Programme and RRR.
I joined the group in 2024. At the time, I had fairly recently become ill with ME/CFS, was off work, and was struggling with multiple symptoms. I was isolated and frightened. Finding the RRR classes was a lifeline and gave me a focus and routine to my day. It was wonderful to find a community of people who understood what I was going through, and classes that were designed for people with low energy levels, and with teachers who understood the health conditions I was dealing with. Two years on, I still attend many of the classes and have made some good friends in the community.
However, there have also been significant negatives with my experience. During the time I have been a member, the RRR ethos and discussions within classes have moved away from recognising the biological and physical nature of ME/CFS and Long Covid, towards psychologising these illnesses by attributing the illness and symptoms to stress, personality traits, beliefs, or “fear”. As a result people are being encouraged to believe that they are responsible for causing their own symptoms.
The core management strategy of pacing is rarely discussed. Instead, there is often an emphasis on increasing activity and doing more for the “joy” of it, without sufficient recognition of the severe consequences that over-exertion can have for people with ME/CFS and Long Covid.
I was directly affected by this approach. I took part in the Fern course, which is widely promoted through RRR. During the course, participants were encouraged to view their illness as being linked to personality traits such as perfectionism or people-pleasing, and to see symptoms as being driven largely by fear of the illness rather than underlying biological processes. We were encouraged to focus on the “joy” of activities rather than concerns about symptoms and limitations. As someone who was desperate for improvement and participating in good faith, I accepted these ideas and increased my activity levels beyond what was safe, which resulted in a significant PEM crash from which it took me many months to recover. Unfortunately I know I am not alone in this experience.
Disappointingly, when people have challenged some of these views, either directly or online, the response has often felt dismissive rather than open to discussion. I have also seen posts on Facebook that were critical of these approaches removed, which has created the impression that alternative viewpoints are not always welcomed
Overall, I am grateful for the programme, the practical and helpful classes, and the friendships and sense of community that RRR has provided. But I am concerned by the promotion of approaches that risk encouraging people with ME/CFS and Long Covid to disregard the biological nature of their illness and exceed their limits. In my experience, this has the potential to cause real harm, particularly for people who are newly ill, vulnerable, and understandably searching for hope and recovery.

This might be the nudge you need
I came across Suzy Bolt on Raelan Agle's YouTube channel, and I cannot tell you how much of a positive difference she has made to my life.
I have been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME) for the past year and a half. I found Suzy and RRR about 6 months into being ill.
Just knowing that I wasn't alone made such a big difference to me. I cried through many of the first sessions on breathwork, yoga nidra and mindfulness I did. I felt seen, heard and understood.
In the past year, my health condition has improved to the point where I am beginning to exercise again and starting to get my life back more generally. Suzy and RRR have played a massive part in that recovery.
I love that Suzy keeps this programme affordable so everyone can benefit. Now I am feeling better; I have moved from the membership that allows for live participation to just accessing the video library.
If you need a nudge to give it a go, consider this a very gentle nudge. With the 2-week free trial, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain.
If I hadn't discovered Suzy Bolt's…
If I hadn't discovered Suzy Bolt's programme in 2024, I hate to think where I would be. As soon as I dialled into my first class, I no longer felt isolated, alone and with no idea how to recover. I could see a way forward. Despite being as proactive as I could in the healthcare system, I was still waiting for rehabilitation advice as the waiting list was huge. On Suzy Bolt's programme I saw others who were improving from severe illness by doing the regular classes.
Long covid services are a postcode lottery and Suzy's programme smashes that - as it is so easily accessed. I began to feel inspired and more confident in my recovery by attending regular classes and undertaking the Fern programme. Both of which are very good value.
I managed to move from mainly housebound, to getting around outside in a wheelchair, back to walking, driving and a much better quality of life. I no longer felt alone and instead felt part of a positive community.
Suzy has helped thousands of people and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the online programme. She needs wider recognition for her work.
When someone asks me what I'd recommend…
When someone asks me what I'd recommend to someone with Long Covid or ME/CFS, my first answer is always Suzy Bolt! The community feeling is what I desperately needed in those first few dark months, and every class has something to offer in terms of calming the nervous system. The Rest Repair Recover classes are a non-negotiable of my weekly routine, and the tapping classes have honestly astounding results on both my body and my mind. Thank you Suzy & team for everything you do.
Truly transformative for long covid sufferers
In five years of having had Long Covid, nothing has made more difference than suzybolt.com's Rest, Repair, Recover and Fern programmes. The community Suzy has built is supportive, understanding and informed and has done a huge amount to enable and assist my ongoing recovery. The easy availability of classes (live and on demand) ranging from breathing to yoga nidra to tai chi and weight work, plus the joy-filled RRR classes is unmatched and the teachers are superb.
Finally, support that truly makes a difference
I am five years into my long covid journey, and finding Suzy's Rest, Repair, Recover and Fern programmes two years ago has been more help than anything else I have encountered along the way. The Fern course, in particular, was a game-changer for me and felt like a huge step forward. Suzy's programmes are a lovely supportive mix of wisdom, movement, laughter, joy and the relief of finding others who understand exactly what you are going through. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Recovering together
The RRR programme offers lots of different classes to support recovery from and living well with chronic illness. The community of people who are at different stages of recovery bring wisdom and encouragement that you're not the only one and share realistic ways to live joyfully (and manage symptoms or whatever life hands you).
Cant rate this programme highly enough
This brilliant, supportive programme has not only been my life raft while recovering from long covid, but also during that time a safe place for me to retreat to every day and gain a sense of calm amidst the troubled waters of both parents dying only a few months apart and the subsequent oh-so-normal in these situations fall out.
I love the choice of sessions with different teachers working at different 'levels' and over the years have gained more knowledge and understanding of my condition from conversations in some of the sessions than any healthcare professional has ever been able to provide. And, as I feel myself slowly recovering, I echo what Suzy so often says, that 'Joy does indeed heal'. I really can't thank Suzy and her team enough.
Fantastic Classes and Community.
Finding Suzy and her community has been an extremely important part of picking my way through Long Covid recovery. The range of classes available speak to all aspects of recovery and the positive, joyful atmosphere created in each is so uplifting. Wherever you are in your recovery there are many classes to suit and they give a valuable rhythm to my week. I also highly recommend the Fern programme for a deeper dive into recovery and for making friends to stay in touch with, feel supported by and to support. Thank you Suzy.
