Great for backing up to but absolutely useless (and I mean USELESS) for restoring from.

I’ve been with Sync for over 5 years but now I need a Linux solution (Sync doesn’t have) and transfer (download) 3TB of data stored in Sync. Easier said than done. When it comes to downloading, your only option is via the sync desktop app. Absolutely useless unless you have 3TB of spare capacity on your HDD for the sync folder it operate. For whatever reason, they specifically state that downloading to an external HDD or a mapped network drive is forbidden and downloading via a browser can only be done on a per file basis, no directories, can you believe it? You can’t even see the size of a directory, let alone download one.

May have been a good service when they first started up but now there are much cheaper and more flexible solutions available.

I shifted my personal cloud files from Dropbox to Sync after discovering that my files weren't being stored securely. I've been a Sync user for many years now and cannot recommend the service more highly. A key feature I needed was local access to my cloud files from my iPhone, iPad and Mac Finder and Sync does this perfectly (other secure cloud storage services were clunky at best for Mac Finder integration).

My personal experience with Sync has been excellent. I've been using it for a few years now, and while I have accounts on other cloud storage and collaboration services, I find myself turning to Sync the most. They provide secure cloud storage, with a web interface and apps that make it easy to use. I find that other services are often confusing to use, especially across different platforms, but in my experience, Sync has eliminated the confusion. It doesn't matter what machine I'm using, it is easy to add, access, and retrieve my files. And a bonus for a Canadian is that my files are stored in Canada! I highly recommend Sync.

Inexplicably, Sync stopped automatically backing up, and I've no idea why. There seems to be no way to contact a support desk beyond filling in an email contact form, which comes up with the reply 'we'll get back to you as soon as possible'. Which is pretty useless. As is their product at the moment : /

Living and working in China means no access to Google docs. Sync is perfect for our teacher teams across different countries. Simple, fast mad never an issue. Very good.

As a web developer, Sync makes it fast and secure to manage my files across multiple devices. Plus, no read/write conflicts like I had with other services. They offer a free plan that really is FREE...not freemium, not free for 7 days...but actually free. I use Sync on multiple devices and it's nice to know my files are always there.

There are many file repository services available in the Cloud these days, but few have end-to-end encryption like Sync. That was the main reason I transferred all my personal files from Dropbox to Sync: maximum privacy. I'm the only one who holds the keys to my data. Sync gives me fast, easy, and private access to my files whenever I want and wherever I am: at home, at work, or on-the-go. I've been using Sync for 2 years and don't ever remember having a problem. I've never lost a file or had a file get corrupted. Their service has been great! I would highly recommend giving them a try. They offer a free tier with paid options available if you need more features.

I needed a cloud software that allows me to sync my private and work computer. Since some of my files are quite sensitive and needed the provider with the best data privacy options and that clearly is sync.com.
Their zero knowledge policy seems quite uncommon while it is at the same time a must have feature for me. The desktop client works nicely in the background, the web interface is not super sleek, but focuses on functionality.

I´ve looked for alternatives several times. No competitor seemed more suited to my needs.

SYNC is one of the best cloud storage on market, i recommend it.

Sync is an excellent cloud storage platform. I have been using it as my sole cloud storage provider for my business for many years. It’s secure, easy to use and reliable, much better than other services. I had tried other options but they were either too expensive or hard to use.

I have tried other cloud storage sites, some offer huge gigs but are difficult to use, Sync is really easy.

Sync has become an integral part of my daily life. Being able to share and collaborate between different professionals across completely different fields has been invaluable. Not only being able to share a wide ranging type of important documents and files but to also be able to maintain or even change the folder structure in real time between participants helps to create better understanding among all. If later there is a decision to revert or even if a mistake is made there is a quick and easy solution to recover files.

Sync is a great app. Using basic, commonly understood methods is very helpful when introducing a new user to the group and allows them to quickly get up to speed with little need for a lot of training.

Plus it is based in Canada as well which is a nice bonus for me … personally.

I've been using sync.com on macOS since 2016 and it's been rock solid for my syncing needs. I switched to sync.com from another service due to sync.com's zero knowledge security. When I found sync.com, I was searching for a cloud service that seamlessly and automatically encrypted my data without requiring any clunky workflows. Sync.com built their product and company with a focus on privacy, which is something I was looking for. Based on my experience with their product, they have delivered a product focused on privacy without compromising on features, ease of use, or performance. I have helped switch family and friends to sync.com and recommend others give it a try.

They have restored my trust in Sync/Backup services.

For many years, I used that other service. They continually changed the offering, continually changed the prices, and then the account info for 68.8 million accounts were hacked and released on the dark web. If that was not enough, they decided to integrate a third-party AI service into their product. I left immediately and joined Sync and could NOT be happier with the service.

What a bunch of great people who value their customers and believe in protecting their customer's data and not compromising it in any way, nor compromising the integrity of the service itself.

No matter what I am working on, art, music, coding, writing, I know it will always be synced on the different systems I use at the house, as well as backed up online so I will never lose my data. More importantly my data will never be held hostage by a company who continually changes their plans and pricing in an effort to increase revenue.

Sync is not like that. They are ethical and treat their customers (and their data) with respect and dignity.

I have been programming since '79 and I have been online since '80. I have gained a lot of experience and wisdom over the years. Sync is simply the best, most reliable and honest service I have found and I am happy to recommend them to others and proud to declare myself a happy user.

Needed a secure HIPAA file transfer service. It worked but is a bit confusing on the interface on my side. It was quick, secure, and my patient's found it easy to use from their end and that is the main concern.

I use multiple cloud services in addition to Sync, including Dropbox, Onedrive, Google Drive. I also tested other cloud services like Icedrive and Cloudstor. While I need Ondrive and Dropbox for work, I have ysed Sync for my personal data for several years now. The interface is clean and user-friendly. The desktop application works seamless both on my personal and work computer. I have not had any safety or privacy issues. I actually chose Sync because of positive reviews that I read on tech blogs.

For all those thinking about using Sync.com for cloud storage, I Highly Recommended it!

Sync.com is my “go to” for when I have private information I want to store in the cloud, and then access from all my devices. It has been totally dependable & easy to use. There is nothing easier than just being able to drop -or- create a file in a folder, know that it has “end-to-end encryption” and access it wherever I want.

Highlights for me are: End-to-end encryption, access from multiple devices, access via the web, file/folder sharing, sharing via Links, being able to select from the whole of my cloud storage - which folders are synced for each computer, and dependability!
