Almost great
Great product if they was not mostly turned black and not wiggling around live.

Syntects is a UK-based insect farm specialising in the production of live and dried Black Soldier Fly larvae, commonly known as Calci Worms. We supply high-quality insect feed for backyard chickens, reptiles, wild birds, and a growing range of sustainable applications. Everything we produce is farmed here in the UK, allowing us to maintain full control over quality, freshness, and animal welfare at every stage. Our live larvae are harvested and shipped quickly to ensure they arrive active, healthy, and ready to feed — something that’s especially important when feeding chickens, where freshness and legality matter. We started Syntects with a simple goal: to create a safer, more responsible place to buy Calci Worms. That means clear guidance, honest information, and products that do exactly what we say they will. We don’t cut corners, over-promise, or hide behind vague claims. Alongside our retail products, we also work behind the scenes in waste reduction and sustainable protein, using food by-products to raise insects efficiently and responsibly. This approach allows us to reduce waste while producing a natural, nutritious feed source. Whether you’re treating your hens, caring for reptiles, or exploring more sustainable feeding options, Syntects is here to support you with quality products, reliable service, and straightforward advice.

Excellent experience in all areas.
I had a great experience with this company. Fast informative replies to my queries, easy to navigate website and good postage.
The product itself is great and have already seen improvements in the health and growth of the plants I have used the flytiliser on.

I’ve tried a few different suppliers…
I’ve tried a few different suppliers for live calci worms and these are by far the best quality I’ve had. You can tell they’re fresh as soon as you open the tube — very active and clean, not like some others I’ve had that arrive sluggish or with a bad smell.
Packaging is solid as well. The tube keeps everything contained properly and they arrived in great condition with no issues during delivery.
My chickens go mad for them. As soon as they hear the tube they come running, and it’s been great for getting them more active and engaged. I’ve also noticed their egg shells have been stronger since using these regularly.
Delivery was quick and everything turned up exactly as expected. Will definitely be ordering again and probably moving onto a regular subscription

The ducks and chickens love these fat…
The ducks and chickens love these fat juicy buggies and stand lined up in their run waiting for me every afternoon.
Egg yolk and shell quality is fantastic despite my birds being locked in their runs most of the time due to a local fox.
Such a relief to find this product.

Great product & customer service
Excellent communication, fast dispatch and superb product. I'll be making regular purchases of bsf larvae now that I've seen the benefits for my flock in the winter months.
