Chris organised a fantastic weekend in Salzburg for the Christmas markets. The hotel was central and superb and there was a lovely touch of a local sweet treat in the room when we arrived, arranged by Chris.
We gave some pointers to Chris to guide the booking and he came back quickly with hotel and flight alternatives from which to choose.
Chris was in regular contact over the weekend to make sure we were happy and everything was running smoothly. We would highly recommend Taking the Strain Travel and will be using Chris again. Tim and Jen

Asked Chris to help plan a trip to Vegas. Literally gave him rough dates and we would like the NYNY hotel. Our little trip grew into 5 flights, a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon, a service with Elvis at the Graceland Chapel and trip to Memphis to see Graceland, all organised by Chris. Chris was in constant contact when we were away to make sure everything was ok. Put up with my questions. Price wise cheaper than BA, TUI and Virgin. Honestly I wouldn't use anyone else

I messaged Chris Newman after hearing very positive reviews from a friend. I explained to Chris what we were looking for including finding a hotel that could meet dietary requirements. Chris was back in touch in no time with suggestions and helped us to narrow down what we were looking for.

Nothing was too much trouble! Chris messaged to inform us when we were able to check in with our flights and did this for us. He was on hand to answer any questions and ensured that we had all the important documents we would need in one place ready to go.

Chris checked in with us at the start of our trip to ensure that everything was ok. When we were away I had a fall down some steps and needed to visit A&E. I dropped Chris a message just to check if there was anything else I needed to consider before going and he gave some around insurance that we hadn’t thought of to ensure this all went smoothly which it then did.

I honestly can’t fault Chris at all he went above and beyond, and it has put me off going to other travel companies in the future!

Chris and Taking the Strain Travel were absolutely incredible in helping deliver a stress free and relaxing holiday. Chris helped find the perfect location based on our specific and picky needs. He was understanding and sympathetic in what we wanted and why. After choosing the perfect place he was engaged throughout the booking and constant supportive communication to ensure all was going well. We were checked in online, booked our transfers and was calling them to make sure we were collected, even with delayed flights. We managed to get an upgrade to our room, and was left at ease when he checked us in for our return flights. I’ve never had a more relaxed and seamless holiday, thanks to the hard work from Chris, going well above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen or heard of from a travel agent. I have no reservations in going to Chris for any future holiday I have. Thank you for making this an enjoyable experience, “taking the strain”, and allowing us to relax from start to end. What a legend.

I approached Taking The Strain Travel to help book a summer holiday to probably Malta. Chris took up the request enthusiastically and we were asked a few questions regarding dates, budget etc. After a short time we were given some very good options. As a result we booked one of the choices and have recently returned from a fabulous holiday at The Hotel Verdi in Malta. Chris was amazing throughout the whole booking and administration process. He guided us through booking our seats. Chris discovered an error in our booking caused by the airline. Whilst we continued to pack and attend the airport Chris called the airline on our behalf and sorted everything out. Chris checked us in for both flights and sent us our boarding passes. I was given Chris’s details from a friend as I was looking at booking a last minute holiday 2 weeks before we wanted to fly out. I sent Chris over the options we had seen and he asked for 48 hours to come back with other options. Chris managed to save me money and chose a destination we hadn’t thought of CUBA. He organised everything for us, checkin’s, transfers, excursions, restaurant bookings. He was always available and made the trip the best we have had so far. I won’t be going anywhere else for my holidays from now on.

Chris was brilliant, he couldn't have done enough for me to help arrange a surprise getaway for my husbands birthday, I couldn't have done it without him nothing was too much trouble, highly recommend.

Amazing service all the way through!

Chris arranged a fab weekend away for us in Liverpool. The hotel was lovely and well located. Would definitely use Chris again to book more trips for us as he takes all the hassle away and is always on hand when you need him.

After coming out of hospital I needed a break, Chris went above and beyond to find me a holiday that would suit me. I needed accessible hotel, transport and airport assistance, this was all arranged and all myself and husband had to do was turn up. Everything ran smoothly and couldn’t have been any more perfect if I had done it myself. I cannot recommend Taking the Strain Travel enough! I used them to book a UK break for my dad's 60th. Advised we had absolutely no idea on location so Chris sent over a document with loads of different options across the UK. We then decided on a location and another document was sent over with multiple different hotels and different room options. The documents were excellent with helping us pick and so easy to navigate. Everything was such a simple and easy process. Chris even contacted me the day my parents were due to arrive to make sure everything was OK. Chris was on a family holiday himself. The customer service is impeccable. I wouldn't go anywhere else whether that's booking UK or Abroad.. we are currently discussing DisneyLand Paris and again, I know the process is going to be such an each one. Thank you again!!
