I'm using Template toaster for Joomla sites. It works fine to create a generic template, but the others things you have to program yourself. There are still some bugs in the program and sometimes the license is lost. Re-entering the license works but if you do that 2 times, you have to contact the helpdesk. The price is way too high for what it delivers. Luckily, the license keeps working after one year (but without updates).

Pathetic customer service. Ask a simple question on FB page, they take a few days to respond - and the response is on the lines of "you can contact support from the Website." There again the person takes ages to respond.

Even when I said "1* for customer service" they didn't bother to even respond and apologize!

Features not working like they should. You can't import or edit existing work once you've exported. Seriously?

UI is decent for WYSIWYG but that is all there is. No option to edit code anywhere! No flexibility. So you have to stay within the limitation of the interface. And, you know what, you have to limit yourself to the templates that they have, or create one from scratch - you can't use any other templates!!!

And, after the latest WP update things seem to have broken, at least for WP, as some of the features are not working.

Should you buy? Only if you like one of their templates and need a WYSIWYG editor to make changes to it. Otherwise this is pretty useless.

Terrible customer support. Mike Davis said he would get back to me, I emailed him several times with a simple pre sales question. Got nothing back from him or the support team. Despite them saying several times they will get back to me. Don't waste your time with these clowns.

Terrible. I bought version 8 Pro for $149 to use as an editor to create a Joomla template from scratch, but you cannot even add elements to a page such as a simple button! I contacted support and after a couple of weeks waiting and received no response. Basically I have wasted my money. Avoid at all costs.

TemplateToaster is worth the money. They provide awesome features with easy drag and drop interface. I am personally using it and it had helped me building my website so easily.

Excellent software. I am using it since 2013, I might say these guys are offering excellent support in addition to the software. Thumbs Up.

Don't lose your money. This is no program to make a good template.
I started with installation problems. They helped, sent me a template ready to install.
But the header I configured didn't install with the template.
For everything better you need to buy the Pro Version = 150 €.
I liked the menus of the Pro and purchased it. Now I learnt that these menus aren't compatible with Joomla, they are only for Wordpress: FRAUDE !!!!!
Discussions and discussions and at the end I got back 90 €. The rest was promised, but didn't come.
They always want to solve the problem getting into the backend. If they manage to resolve, that would be ok, but then you are never independant again. Whenever you want to change something you need them and you must pay every time a huge amount for maintenance. Don`t waste your money into silly things.

And important: Even with Paypal you won't get your money back. Paypal doesn't help, if you buy wrong stuff.

I'm using now Beez3, which comes with Joomla and which will be updated by the same Joomla. You can give it a nice look too, customizing many details. Many advices for Joomla templates Beez and Protostar in the internet. No need to buy bad excperience.

I have reviewed Template toaster and Artisteer. Template toaster reviews are good, But what am curious to know is, I am looking at template toaster, so that I design my own templates and sell them, so that I make an earning. While Artisteer has some restrictions like we cannot use their header images and elements for commercial purpose which is no good for me. How about template toaster??? no one has talked about?????

I recently purchased templatetoaster and i had to say that it has a really friendly user interface that makes it easy to design websites from scratch, just what i was looking for.

The support chat is extremely helpful. The service there is excellent and people are always helping you to solve problems.

Also, i found some features that are missing in other alternatives. Wish luck to TemplateToaster team. Thanks.

I wanted to use this to develop HTML5 and CSS3 sites. It is horrible. It does not allow you to create a full website unless that site does not require much.

First - you cannot import a site. You can export or leave the site in the Template Toaster format. Once exported you are done. No way to bring it back in.

Second - The CSS is applied to each element. No styles created and applied. so if you want to change a page or site you will have to do it to each element.

Third - Inability to add Input elements. Really? No input? Rarely used....right?

Fourth - The contact page is non functioning - add elements but they dont display.

Fifth - Javascript editor that does nothing.

And so many more problems that I dont have time to write.

This software is not worth it. Period. My guess is the positive reviews are fake. But just a guess.

The tool offers a powerful theme builder. You can build themes for different CMS and also generate eCommerce themes. The support offered is good.
