The Anglophile Magazine and British Castles Magazine offered on Facebook with a $1 trial is a scam. I subscribed on 10/23/2025 and received nothing. No acknowledgement, no e-mail, no digital link... not a thing. But, my account was charged within seconds. I tried contacting the publisher and was ignored. The trial was $1 so I wrote it off as a lesson learned. However, today I see they charged me $47 for a renewal of something I never received! I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I went back to the publisher's website to try to contact them again and found that their contact us page is currently undergoing maintenance and to try again later. Really? I tried contacting them through their numerous Facebook ads and my post gets deleted each time. Complete waste of time and waste of money. Facebook needs to regulate the scam artists advertising on their site.
