I ordered a second better camper string light set because the first one works so good. But the second one I ordered came back and was a Chinese knockoff that they sell on Amazon for half price and poor quality. I would not order anything from better camper anymore. It seems like it's a scam

Product ships directly from China which takes ages, but this is not made clear at the point of order. Tracking is useless, I'm 10 days in and can not see at all where my item is, even though my payment was taken at the time of order. I'm afraid that the exact same item is available from everyone's least favourite on line store for half the price and with quick delivery.

I have been sent a defective product and they are refusing to do anything about it - I just get the same copy and paste email saying they’re talking to another team. Do not order - waste of time and so unhelpful.

Product received in October, but only used once briefly at unboxing. Next time using it in March, it worked for a short while, then stopped. Certain functions wouldn't work, and then it wouldn't turn on at all or even charge.

Reached out to the company and they sent their return policy to me, which includes a description of 60-day no questions asked return policy AND a description of replacing damaged or defective products. I would say that a product that stops working within two uses is defective. I responded with that, and they said it was past the 60 days so too bad. I responded again that their policy literally has language regarding defective products. Then they asked for a video of it not working. Once I sent that, they offered to send a replacement. Still waiting on that to arrive and hoping for a better experience with the new item.

Light broke within a month. I contacted the company and they told me I should just take it to a local repair shop rather than offering to fix or replace their faulty product.

I am truly embarrassed that I didn’t read these reviews before ordering. I have never received my order and have contacted them several times on a variety of channels and have had no response. I initially saw the ad on Instagram, so feel that Instagram also has some accountability in filtering and vetting companies. Do not order from this company - it’s a scam!

Terrible experience. Ordered product and paid for express delivery. Has been over a month and product still hasn't shipped - or at least the tracker shows it is still "awaiting pickup" even though I have a tracking number. I have reached out multiple times with no response to my order. At this point I assume that they stole from me and I will never receive my item. Totally unethical company.

Awful on all accounts. Agree with all negative comments below. Significant delay in delivery, despite my paying for express delivery that was offered when I ordered item. NO response to multiple attempts to contact them through their offered contact channels. Tracking number provided that only came up as an error message. Attempted to cancel when I had no shipping information confirmation but no reply to that either. Finally, item arrived on Dec. 31. THEN I got an email reply to my attempt to cancel item, saying they could not accept refunds. Site says refunds available for 30 days. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Like most everyone else writing reviews here, I ordered the product and never received it. Oddly, the confirmation emails I received have now disappeared from my mailbox. I too tried reaching out to the company through their website and responded to email requests for reviews indicating I never received the product. I have reviewed my bank statements and there doesn't appear to be a charge for the product, which is also curious. I consider this company a complete scam. I wonder if the VW Camper giveaway was also a scam. Avoid at all costs!

I placed my order over a month ago and have not received it. The order shows a label was printed and nothing. I have contacted them 4 different times with no response. Worse company. I feel this is a total scam! So disappointing for the camping community!

If I could give them a negative star, I would. I wish I saw the reviews here first before ordering from them. I had the same exact issues, like everyone else. I placed my order over a month ago, and never received my order, but I was charged for it. I was provided with invalid USPS number saying it was shipped. I emailed them 3 times and never heard back from them.
Go on amazon, they have similar products and you'll actually receive them!

UPDATE- the camp lights I purchased were finally delivered three weeks after my purchase, in a small box from “Jay” (no last name) with an NYC address. The product is what I expected. It was not a straightforward process, tracking didn’t work, and customer service was not responsive/non-existent, but I’m grateful the light arrived and I didn’t have to seek a refund.
ORIGINAL REVIEW-
I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering from them. They had a massive promotion at Christmastime 2024, giving away a 1971 VW Bus. They advertised heavily ALL over social media and email. One chance in the drawing for every dollar you spent. I chose to buy their string lights as a gift on 12/15. I got a confirmation email. After several days of not being able to use the tracking information at all, tracking only showed that a label was created on 12/18 and it was awaiting pickup. Still no progress 2 weeks later.
I tried contacting them by email, no response. I tried contacting them through their website. I wanted to see what the issue was and if we could fix it. I was cool if they were just experiencing a big surge in orders due to the promo. I didn’t even get a “we received your message” auto response.
So maybe PayPal can get my money back. But it sucks that it went down like this. If they had any customer service response I would rate them higher. But as it stands I will never order from them again. 10/10 do NOT recommend.
(They made a big show of the giveaway on Christmas Day on Instagram, so apparently they put all their energy into slick ads and appearing on social media like a functioning business rather than actually being one.)

I would give zero stars if I could. But reading these reviews I see I'm not alone.
Ordered one of their lights, went to track it to make sure it would arrive in time for Christmas. Tracking number came up as invalid. After two weeks it showed as originated but not picked up for shipping / delivery.
Tried to get info on what was going on via their support email and via form fill.
Finally just disputed the charge with my credit card. They have plenty of varieties of this type of camp light on Amazon. If you want one order there.

Impossible to contact. Don't respond via Shop or email. No telephone listed. Do not buy from them.

Do not buy anything from this website. They never shipped my order and never answered any emails. You can find the same product for half the price on Amazon.

Had I found these reviews before ordering, I obviously would have avoided this company. As of 12/26/24, the website is gone. If you're like me and never received your order and/or were given an invalid USPS tracking number, don't bother with the company...dispute the charge through your credit card company. Mine took care of it immediately.

UPDATE: My order did eventually arrive on Jan 3, long after my bank refunded me, and long after the promised 3-10 day delivery window. I finally got a reply to my email to customer service after they had been delivered, confirming they had been delivered (I had asked for a refund to my order--that was ignored). Then they had the gall to ask for my feedback on my customer service experience.

Absolutely awful don’t order from here- complete scam!
