SCAM – Only 4 Attendees Out of 400 Promised to attend our Master Class. Our company purchased an exhibitor package with The Business Show under the explicit, written guarantee of high foot traffic and direct placement in front of a targeted audience of 400+ active business owners to our master class and certain industries and just didn’t happen. Over the course of the entire event, exactly 4 business owners visited our space which was placed facing in the back wall and was supposed to be in a highly foot trafficked area in front of the speed networking which it wasn’t. The organizers completely failed to deliver on floor placement, promised foot traffic, and baseline attendance and target audience metrics that were guaranteed to us. To make matters worse, their post-event communication has been nonexistent, showing a total disregard for basic ethics. Do not buy a booth here. They will take your money and deliver zero ROI.

I participated in The Business Show Miami as a paid exhibitor and masterclass presenter. The people who attended my sessions were engaged, and the feedback I received was very positive. My concern is not with the attendees who showed up. My concern is that the opportunity I believed I was purchasing did not match the actual event experience.

Before investing, I would strongly encourage exhibitors, speakers, consultants, and small business owners to ask very specific questions in writing:

What do “sign-ups” actually mean?
Are they general event registrations or session-specific commitments?
What percentage of people typically attend after signing up?
Is historical show-up data tracked?
What realistic attendance range should an exhibitor plan for?

In my experience, the sign-up numbers communicated before the event did not translate into actual attendance, and I was not given clear planning guidance when I asked. That impacted my preparation, staffing decisions, and overall return on the investment.

I understand that no event can guarantee revenue or attendance. But exhibitors should be given clear, practical context before making a significant financial commitment.

Based on my experience, I would not invest in this event again.

Archie Kenway recruited me to be a vendor for the Miami event. I did what is called a MasterClass. They promised that if I did 16 sessions over the 2 days they would fill the seats. That did not happen, attendance was very low, and it wasted a lot of my time and money. I have written to both Archie and Reggie Chard and neither have responded.
