Disappointed and Pleased too!
One of the cheddars I ordered did not have a strong enough flavour and I disagree with the description. The gorgonzola was amazing though!

Antwoord van The Cheese Lady
Dear Merry,
Thank you for your feedback—we’re so pleased you loved the Gorgonzola!
With farmhouse cheeses, flavour can vary slightly due to seasonality and maturation, and strength is often a matter of personal perception. We're sorry one of the cheddars didn’t quite hit the mark—please don't hesitate to get in touch if you’d like a recommendation for something bolder next time.
Warm wishes,
Svetlana (The Cheese Lady) & Team

Got the cheese I wanted but with a very short sell by date.

Antwoord van The Cheese Lady
Dear Alan,
Thank you for your lovely review! We're pleased we could help you source the cheese you wanted and that it arrived smoothly.
Regarding soft cheese dates, farmhouse and artisan cheeses naturally have shorter shelf lives compared to mass-produced varieties. We typically receive soft cheeses with a shelf life of 2-3 weeks. However, the beauty of soft cheeses is that they continue to develop in flavour as they ripen, reaching their 'peak' around the date stated on the packaging. With 13 days remaining, I am happy to confirm that your Vacherin Mont d'Or was well within the norm for fine cheese.
We appreciate your feedback and are always happy to advise on cheese ripeness, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@thecheeselady.co.uk if you have any questions.
Best wishes,
Svetlana (The Cheese Lady) & Team
