It looks like a bargain, the team worked hard to accommodate the dates I needed

Dev was really clear on what we had to do and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Apart from the cooking and the prep tips we tried Indian rum and wine. Highly recommended.

This was our first tour with Dev to his childhood home of Odisha in West Bengal, far off the tourist track. It was also our first experience of India and we were glad to have visited as part of a group. The tour exceeded all our expectations. Dev and Louise worked hard to ensure that we were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for them. This was a culinary tour and the food did not disappoint. We tasted dishes we could not have imagined, stayed in a royal palace, had high tea with the royal family, dined under the stars, ate food prepared for us by a tribal village, had a go at preparing food ourselves helped by the students of a catering college, as well as visiting highly acclaimed restaurants and glamping by the sea. This was one of the best holidays we have ever had - thank you Dev and Louise.

We have had the pleasure of two trips with Dev and Louise - Croatia and India. Brilliant tours - loved every minute! The time and care they have invested in planning the tours is obvious. The places are really interesting, the people are lovely, the programme is varied and the accommodation first class - not to mention the wonderful food and drinks! But for me Dev and Louise are a major highlight of the trip. They care very much about everything and are constantly monitoring to ensure the best possible experience for their guests. Can't wait for the next one!

What a fabulous way to visit Croatia. We felt honoured to visit so many family run places to try local food and wine, something we could never have discovered on our own. The whole trip was so well planned, fun and relaxing. Thanks to everyone in the group for making it an amazing holiday. We won’t hesitate to try their other trips.

The group trip to Croatia was just wonderful. Everyday was different with a great balance of organised activity and down time. Everything was very well organised but hugely relaxed. Lovely group of people. Can’t wait for my next trip with The Cook’s Adventures (in January!)

The food and service was exceptional. I dont know why the restaurant hasn't got a Michelin star !

From start to finish we were treated like royalty at The Cook's Tale.
We enjoyed a historic boat ride with a bottle of prosecco and then what felt like a seven course meal - with all the surprise dishes that we sampled! So many flavours to experience! And the Indian Rum shot - delicious! A wonderful anniversary dinner that we would highly recommend!

The master cookery class was fantastic in every way, most enjoyable with expertly taught techniques with a practical and easy teaching style that would relate to all students, beginners as well as the more advanced cooks

We really enjoyed the Indian Cookery course.
Great fun, delicious food and we learned some good techniques to use at home. Would definitely do another cookery course with Dev.

Dev’s cookery masterclass was an excellent, comprehensive culinary experience. His enthusiasm and passion for cooking is infectious, and his knowledge of regional methods and dishes is encyclopedic, and his attention to detail is impressive. The class was well-organized, with comprehensive written menus provided, all fresh ingredients available and clear instructions and demonstration of preparation techniques. After preparation of spice mixtures and marinades from basic ingredients we progressed to the preparation of 3 different dishes, which we consumed, with complementary drinks, in the restaurant, after each course. Excess samples were available to take home to continue the cookery adventure. An all round excellent way to spend a day.

Fantasic gastro trip Odisha with like-minded travellers featureig many unique sites and experiences not gnenerally available to ordinary vistors: dinner with a maharaja in his palace, tiger safari, village tourm cooking lesson in a top catering school.

It's a wonderful restaurant...food, friendship, very good service, surroundings and ambience. Can't fault it at all

I went to The Cooks Tale to complete the Cookery Master Class. It was so informative, picked up some new techniques and tips for cooking which I cannot wait to try out at home, I love cooking so much and classes like these are so helpful. Thank you Dev and Team who were so kind, helpful and with a wealth of knowledge at your disposal, make sure ask lots of questions, just wish I could send more time learning and cooking with you all!

I really enjoyed meeting Dev and learning about his fish cookery. He was generous sharing his knowledge and skills. It was a relaxed class with time to enjoy the food once cooked. Thank you, I look forward to the vegetarian cookery course in January.

It was so interesting to hear about the tour to India which sounds very tempting. Such an unusual and different itinerary. The food and wine were also excellent - especially for £10! We so enjoyed the whole evening, and will tell our friends about it. This year we’re already booked up, but would certainly consider it next year. Although we might book with friends, it’s so good to meet new people.. It’s also good that the solo price is not massively more than 2 people sharing. Also, to be away from the normal tourist trail. A very comprehensive evening. Thank you.
