We run a surfboard business on the West Coast and I was a bit unsure about working with an Australian team because of the time difference.

Honestly, it was never really an issue.

Communication was easy, things got done quickly, and they understood pretty fast that we didn’t want the brand turned into some generic ecommerce store.

They pushed us on a few things we probably wouldn’t have changed ourselves, and it ended up helping a lot.

Good team, easy to work with, and we had a really solid experience.

Still funny having Australians help us sell surfboards though.

Drew & his team are excellent at what they do, they know what to do and when to do it. Take the pressure off my shoulders and showed me what was happening within my store while it grew! Would recommend them to anyone Who is in the space looking to grow.

I originally met Drew through business and social media, but at this point I’d genuinely consider him a good mate.

I run a pretty active Instagram account and spend a lot of time around marketing myself, so I’m probably more critical of this stuff than most people. What I like about Drew and the team is there’s very little fluff. You can actually talk through an idea with them, disagree with something, change direction and figure it out together.

Over time I’ve gotten to know Drew outside of work as well. We’ve caught up, played tennis together and had plenty of conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with business.

That probably says more about my experience than some massive paragraph about marketing results.

Good people, very switched on, and Drew genuinely gives a shit about the businesses and people he works with.

Still need to beat him at tennis though.

I've known Drew for years and have always been impressed by his professionalism and deep knowledge of the marketing space. He and the team at The Cultivator clearly know what they're doing — thoughtful, strategic, and genuinely good at what they do. Anyone working with them is in good hands.

We run a commercial and residential exterior cleaning business, so we’re probably not the most typical business these guys work with.

At the start I wasn’t really sure how much they’d be able to help outside of advertising, but there’s been a lot more involved than I expected.

They’ve gone through parts of the store, cleaned up how things are set up, helped with tracking, customer follow up systems, offers and a heap of small things that all add up. There were quite a few issues we had just gotten used to that they picked up straight away.

I also really like how the work is managed. You can log in and see what’s in progress, what’s been finished and what they’re waiting on from us. It saves a lot of back and forth and I’m not constantly wondering what’s happening.

Calls have been good too. We normally book them when there’s actually something worth going through, rather than having meetings just for the sake of having meetings. They’ve generally been short and useful.

Probably the biggest difference for me is the range of stuff they can take care of. Normally you’d need one person for the website, someone else for ads, someone else for automations and then another person trying to tie it all together. Here it all seems to feed into the same plan.

They move through a surprising amount of work as well. Every time I check back there’s normally been something else changed, tested or worked on.

It’s definitely not completely hands off though. When they ask us for product info, photos, pricing, approvals or whatever else, we still need to get it back to them quickly. The whole thing works much better when both sides are actually moving.

So far I’ve been really impressed. It feels less like hiring someone to run ads and more like having extra people inside the business helping us improve different areas at the same time.

Bit of a random one because I don’t actually work with these guys anymore.

One of their ads popped up on my phone the other day and I thought, “bloody hell, these guys are still everywhere,” so I messaged Drew and realised I never actually left them a review.

We worked together for a while and, to be fair, they did a really good job for us.

They helped sort out the ads, made a load of changes to the site, fixed a bunch of things we probably should’ve fixed ourselves months earlier, and generally got the business moving in the right direction.

We had some really strong months while working with them and definitely made a lot more progress than we would have trying to figure everything out ourselves.

I also remember there always being about 47 things happening at once. New creatives, website changes, tracking stuff, calls, random fixes in the background. Half the time I didn’t even know what or how they were changing until I noticed things were working better.

We eventually stopped working together because the business changed direction a bit.

Saw the ad, messaged him, had a laugh and thought I should probably leave the review I should’ve left ages ago.

Good team, worked hard for us, got us good results.

Annoyingly, I have to give them credit.

Drew and his team have great attention to detail and really listen. We were in a spot of bother with our digital marketing strategy, ultimately trying too many things at once without clear understanding of what success would look like. We needed clarity and quantifiable results.

Cultivator provided logical and pragmatic advice that has made a significant difference to the way we approach and deploy our digital strategy.

Drew and Beau’s communication first of all was fantastic, and the strategy they implemented resulted in my store gaining exponential traction within the first 2 months of working together.

Absolutely 5 stars. Drew and Beau have been genuinely great to work with. They’ve helped me a lot with scaling my business, especially around marketing strategy, implementation and improving my Meta & Google ads performance. My ROAS really improved a ton once we started applying their changes, and what I rate most is how involved they are, they actually care about the results and are always looking for ways to improve things rather than just giving generic advice. The cultivator has helped me and my business in many ways, without them i honestly can’t say if id be doing as well as i am. Before I was with them,I was blind and hurting my own sales with my lack of marketing knowledge. Now, I get regular meetings that are informative and allow me still have my input. The team especially Mark, is so helpful and always gets the job done efficiently and professionally. Would recommend the cultivator to all who want to boost their sales and reputation of their business. Good job team!

The team helped move my website from my previous e-commerce platform to Shopify. I’m thankful for that assistance because it wasn’t something I could have completed on my own, and everyone I spoke with seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the execution, communication, and follow-through did not match what I expected from a service costing $1,600 per month.

I paid for three months, totaling $4,800. The website migration took approximately two and a half months, which was much longer than anticipated. Once the website was finally ready, the plan was to begin running Google and Facebook ads. However, no ads were ever launched, and my advertising accounts show $0 spent.

Throughout the process, I worked with approximately four different team members and repeatedly had to grant new people access to my accounts. The frequent turnover made the process feel disorganized, and I often had to repeat information or follow up on tasks that were delayed or never completed.

I understand that agencies need information and feedback from their clients, but I hired a team because I did not have time to micromanage every task. At this price point, I expected someone to take ownership of the project, keep me informed about meaningful decisions, and ensure the agreed-upon work was completed in a timely manner.

My decision to cancel was not entirely based on their performance. Our original goal was to generate more custom orders, but my business was already struggling to produce enough inventory for our busy event schedule, so that strategy no longer felt realistic. However, if the service had been producing results and the work had been completed consistently, I may have chosen to continue.

I emailed Drew twice and clearly stated that I wanted to end the partnership and did not want to be charged for another month. I received no response. A fourth monthly payment was still attempted about a week later, although it did not go through. No one contacted me afterward.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I do believe the team has knowledge and potential. My impression was that they may have had too many clients or too much employee turnover to give my account the attention it required. Unfortunately, the final month was a complete waste of money for me. Aside from one meeting and a request to give another new employee access to my account, nothing meaningful happened.

Every week i have a zoom with Beau and the team, and it is the best. We really lock in with the data and we first got our design work done asap. Google ads, meta ads and all integrated now into the dashboard. They have a proprietary ai system that is able to analyse all the data points across my store, ads and emails. It’s greatst the process, very responsive team
