I received thawed, opened meat! They do not package their meats to stay frozen during shipment, the packages aren’t sealed well and opened during shipment, blood in the box. All meat ruined!! VERY UNHAPPY AND WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN!
Edit: I did contact customer service and they’ve refunded my money, but the packaging and delivery are horrible.

My Marine son ordered $187 worth of meats for his Marine dad on 07/02/25 birthday. First order got lost. HB blamed UPS. Second order was packed 7/22/25 arrived warm and wet, leaking in box at 78 degrees on 7/28/25 1900l. We called and wrote UPS & HB that night 1905-2030 left vms. UPS More finger pointing to HB. Called left vm to HB second day 7/29 no response. 7/29 E-mailed HB. 7/30 HB responded via e-mail we will refund your money. Money is not an object, guess they cant ship from UT to VA (DC suburbs). Do not use them. Not honest or responsive.

Do not buy from this company!!! The are scheisters!!! I was forced to pay $70.50 for a 9 oz. bison ribeye. I have BMs three times this size on a regular basis. With shipping et al it was $94.00 per pound. Do NOT waste your money!!! I received a VM from Kaziza on Saturday 1.6.24 after I received my disappointing order. I have not interest in "talking" about this with them. They were more than happy to deceive me with this order.

Very fine quality meat. Whole family enjoyed thoroughly. Pricing is very fair. Will buy again.

I enjoy the meat. But the shipping lately has been TERRIBLE . I know they have switched shippers but its really ridiculous. I live less than an hour away from the shipper and both times recently I've had to call multiple times to figure out what's going on with my order and when it will be shipping. Over 8 days later . I want to support this company as I've had really good experiences with them in the past . I will be giving them 1 more chance in the coming months to see if things have improved. That being said again I do love the meat and it's packaged well and portion sizes are perfect for me .

Well my first experience with your company was not a good one. I ordered some bison testicle to try for the first time. They were also supposed to be on the menu for a family gathering. The family gathering came and went without the bison balls. This was due to your company going through a change in shippers which delayed my order by 3 weeks. I don't remember anything saying that you were changing shippers, and my order would take some time to deliver or I probably would have looked elsewhere. I didn't find out until I requested an update through email.

I buy 7 ribeye steaks a week from my local butcher and figured I can save a lot of money if I buy from honest bison. I ordered 2 steaks to try them out.
The day after taking my order, they let me know that they are having some logistics issues and the order will be delayed. Understandable so I say fine, I’ll wait. A month goes by and I hear nothing. I email them and they say it’ll be shipped on this date, I say ok. The day comes nothing has shipped. I reach out again, they say it’s been delayed, I say fine. I receive a tracking number after 2 months and it goes to a different city to a wrong address. I email them again and they say you were not supposed to receive the tracking since is not yours and your order should ship next week. I wait another week and email again and they said sorry we don’t have your steaks would you like credit for future purchases or a refund?!! so basically they charged my card, held the money for 2 months and refunded me. not that "honest" if you ask me.

Product was delivered in a timely manner and in great condition. Thank you, love your products.

I always receive prompt response to all my questions regarding quality, shipping or refunds.
The website needs a bit of updating as the specials don't always transfer to the ordering process.

Straightforward, easy to order. I get my dogs a special treat from these folks a couple of times a year. Their raw dog food is super high quality and my dogs LOVE it!

I haven't even got my order but you made sure you charged my credit card in full. It's been weeks now, this is really ridiculous. I cannot judge your meats as I haven't gotten any yet which you know. I will give you an honest opinion when and if I ever get my order.

I signed up for their quarterly delivery of various meats after buying several cuts of their bison. The quality has been excellent and fun to work with. It is a set price which I agreed to and then they send what that quarter's pick is. I love the quality of their meat, it is so, so, good.

The meat/bones were fantastic and I would like to order again. The delivery and packaging is my main concern. There was no dry ice left in the boxes, there was a surplus of plastic bags which I believe was used as filler fine and dandy just not what I expected. The bags that the bones arrived in were busted open several!!! I had to cook the unthawed strewn about marrowbones that day just for piece of mind and not feel I lost on the investment. GOOD BONES and MEAT just work on packaging and shipping please.

It was easy to order and the meat was delicious. Some of the best bison meat I have ever had. I definitely will be ordering from them again.

Very good quality, is an understatement. Unique food that is hard to find elsewhere.

Product arrived quickly and completely frozen. Very good product sizing and packaging. It’s always frustrating when one’s recipe calls for a pound and the grocery store package is 11 oz. We haven’t tried the bison, but the elk is very tasty and lean. We definitely will order from The Honest Bison again.
