I've tried half a dozen different zero-waste natural deodorants over the years without issue but I got very concerned a few months back when my current one suddenly started causing severe irritation and brought up some small lumps in my armpit that I worried might be sinister. I tried a few others subsequently and all were suddenly having the same effect. A bit of research showed that sodium bicarbonate was a common allergen, and all of the natural deodorants I'd been using contained it. Quick Google of 'sodium bicarbonate-free zero-waste vegan cruelty-free deodorants' showed me that the lovely The Ilex Wood offered an SB-free one, so before booking a doctor's appointment I thought I'd give it a try. 2 weeks in and there's no irritation and the lumps have disappeared, so I'm going to stock up!

Great products and great customer service.

I love the smell of rose and frankincense face balm and face oil. They make my face feel dewy and hydrated. The best bit is knowing I am only putting safe products on my face that are not hormone disrupting, which is importantly to me as a menopausal woman. The deodorant smells good too and again I’m delighted it is only safe ingredients. This means it doesn’t last for 24 hours but I’m glad about that!

Orders are despatched quickly and customer service exceptional. I love the products and now only buy their frankincense & bergamot oil and face balm for my skin. A little goes a long way so value for money as well.

A little of the calendula salve was given to me by a friend while we were on holiday. It is the most amazing calendula product I've ever used. I was using it on a patch of sore dry skin and now I also use it on my hands and lips. The friend who gave me the sample uses it for everyone, including haemorrhoids! She says its the only thing that works.

Having previously fallen for the marketing of overpriced branded products, I can’t rate this skincare range highly enough. These are genuinely incredible natural products — good for you, good for the environment, and a joy to use. They smell wonderful and feel truly nourishing, leaving my skin looking its best.

What a lovely product. Whether it is for older skin or a small child, the soft, warm, nostalgic smelling salve makes you feel better even before you apply it.
Particularly effective when using it for a child who is upset after a bump, even the name helps to raise a smile.
The product looks and smells of good quality, the website was easy to manage, even for an older person like myself.
The company seem committed to good customer service which I think is very important alongside what is a quality product made with care.

I have now ordered 3 or 4 times from this company (says a lot!) and can vouch that their products really are kind on your skin. I suffer with occasional excema flare-ups and I absolutely love both the Calendula Salve and Boo Boo Balm. Both products are gentle on the skin yet effective and I have recommended them to a number of friends.

I have purchased a few products from Theilexwood company over the years and the quality of the product is very good for my skin. I use both Rose and Frankincense face cream and serum and I have less dark spots and wrinkles. My skin feels much softer when I’m out in all weathers. Use sparingly as it goes far. The smell is amazing and is calming too. The deodorant is also good. I cannot recommend these products enough. A bonus, I purchased on special offer too!
