The reason I'm not giving 5 star is that I wish there were video trainings accompanied with each module.

I enjoy studying through IDI, the course has given me a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of interior design .
My lecture is passionate, knowledgeable and has been very supportive since I have started the course .It is a rewarding experience which i can personally recommend IDI to anyone looking at doing interior design . ( Thabo Ndlovu)

Easy to understand, I have learnt so much in 5 modules & applying it in my work already. Knowing the basics I now feel confident to come up with original ideas. So much fun, I can’t wait to learn the rest.

Module 10 taught me the true value of client engagement. I learned that a successful design doesn't start with a mood board—it starts with listening. This project pushed me outside my comfort zone by challenging me to design a bedroom in a style I wouldn't normally choose, which expanded my creativity and made me a more versatile designer. The step-by-step process, from the initial client meeting to the site evaluation, gave me a realistic understanding of how a professional design project unfolds from start to finish.

I'm halfway through the course and I feel like I've learned so much already! The tutors are nice, but also very helpful! It's easy to understand, very affordable and I'm gaining so much more confidence in my designs. I'm very happy I took the leap and signed up for IDI 😊

This is a very interesting course so far, covering a lot more than I expected, from Architecture to electrical installations.
The floor plans are a little difficult, I am drawing by hand, as I couldn’t get the hang of sketch up.
My tutor seems to give good feedback.

Genuinely have enjoyed this program. Was able to do this while working full time as it is flexible. I just wish that as a Canadian student, when you are provided with links and recourses for products that they were not all Australian suppliers.

I cannot fault my experience of learning through this course. It has been amazing to be doing it at my own pace, as life can really take a turn, and rushing through studying that I am passionate about would have me feeling very different. Instead, I feel like I am able to absorb all the information and really push my thinking outside the box. The tools are so useful, and the guidance is clear. I have scored 10s throughout, and honestly, this does have me questioning just how much my tutor is paying attention to my submissions (are they really perfect)? I am not receiving the type of critical feedback I thought I would. This would be my only comment to be taken on board.

I love the feedback I am getting from my tutor. She continues to give me very useful feedback to take into account to keep striving to become better and better. The way it is set up is also another thing I am a big fan of. It’s super easily set up and keeps everything organized.

It’s a really good institute, very nicely set up and the tutors are great. You definitely learn a lot throughout each module.

I’m very happy with my experience in The Interior Design Course. The course is well structured, easy to follow, and everything is explained clearly, which makes the learning process very enjoyable.The instructor is always attentive and available whenever you have questions, and communication is very smooth and helpful. The platform is also easy to navigate, and the community feels welcoming and supportive.
I’ve learned a lot throughout the course and really enjoy the way the program combines clear explanations with practical assignments. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about interior design.

I’m going to say that the information that I got was helpful and underlying to me. I want to know what and how to use the information in my daily routine to better serve myself in the future. From the course to my mentor, was all so seamless and very communicative. After many years of personal building and selling, IDI gave a whole other level of confidence to my knowledge and who I am/ will be as an interior designer. I highly recommend IDI to anyone who asks and cannot thank Wendy my tutor enough. Being held up with life and having our third child to landing my dream career IDI have always been so supportive of my timeline.

It has been a little over three years since I enrolled as a student with The Interior Design Institute, and today, as I complete my final module, I can truly say this experience has meant more to me than simply completing a course, it allowed me to fulfill a dream and pursue my passion for interior design. One of the things I appreciated most about IDI was the ability to complete the program at my own pace. Over these three years, life happened. I experienced illnesses and surgeries, managed demanding work responsibilities, and navigated personal commitments that sometimes required me to step away from my studies. Not once did I feel pressured to finish according to someone else’s timeline. There was always a sense of comfort in knowing that when I was ready, I could simply pick up where I left off and continue moving forward. But my experience with IDI was about so much more than flexibility. I was incredibly fortunate to have Wendi as my tutor throughout this journey. Her feedback, advice, encouragement, and resources were invaluable. Her immense knowledge of interior design came through in every module, and she consistently gave me the guidance I needed to improve while still allowing me to develop my own creativity and design style. Looking back at where I started and where I am today, I can see my growth with every module. I became more confident, more knowledgeable, and more certain that interior design is something I truly love. Knowing Wendi was always there to review my work, provide thoughtful feedback, and guide me in the right direction made such a difference, especially during the moments when life made completing this journey feel a little more challenging. Thank you, IDI, for creating a program that allowed me to learn without having to put the rest of my life on hold. The study material is clear, well-structured, and makes learning a highly technical course online remarkably easy. My tutor is exceptionally supportive and encouraging—even when correcting mistakes, he provides kind, constructive, and positive feedback that keeps me motivated.

Enrolling at the Interior Design Institute has been one of the best career decisions I've made. I was already working for an interior design company, but I had no formal background in the field. This course helped me build my knowledge and refine my skills.

I quickly learned that interior design isn't just about decorating or making a space look pretty. It involves much more, from planning and function to structure and detail.

The course is clearly laid out and strikes a good balance between creativity and practical execution. You also study at your own pace, with no deadlines.

Studying at the Interior design institute has been an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to go into interior design! They provide you with a student advisor, who helps you through the course which I personally found very valuable during my studying.
The communication and education materials are fantastic!
Definitely money well spent !

The material that I have received has been very informative and useful. The feedback received on submitted work has also been very detailed which helps to improve and highlights the strengths as well.
The only thing that I would like more of is some more information of how to use certain free programs listed. However overall it’s a great value for money!
