Challenging but totally worth it – amazing tutor support!
Balancing this course with a full-time job and family commitments hasn't been easy. It definitely requires a lot more heavy reading and deep research than other diploma courses I’ve done before. But honestly, it's so worth it. My tutor has been an absolute lifesaver—super helpful, and always quick to reply whenever I need help navigating the workload. Every time I finish a module, everything just clicks, and I really get how it all works. The best part is applying what I've learned to my actual work; the results have been amazing! I highly recommend The Interior Design Institute to anyone thinking about diving into interior design. It's a lot of work, but the payoff is awesome!

I'm liking the feed back and the how I can be independent and do it in my own time as I'm very busy so it's really good not having the pressure of when each assignment needs to be handed in. The modules and learning are great and easy to follow along to.

I've learned a wealth of knowledge from taking the IDI course. It has really expanded my understanding of the elements required for good design. I would highly recommend this course as a great resource of Interior design.

I really like the layout and opportunities the Interior Design Institute gives. My tutor has been helpful during each module. The frustrating thing was I submitted my work and got a message from Student Center asking to verify if it was my work (which I completely understand), and I verified it with sketches and more. Then I was told I only had one more submission I could get, so it felt like I was penalized for something I shouldn’t have been. That’s the only frustrating thing that has happened — everything else has been smooth and fun to learn.

My tutor and the student support team are quick to respond and they make this learning experience fun and exciting. The module notes and assignments are clear and easy to understand.

I feel that this course offers you extensive knowledge in the world of interior design. It’s much more in depth than I expected which is great. My only critique would be more support for learning sketchup, as it’s a very complex software for beginners.

The Interior Design Institute has truly been a wonderful help throughout my learning journey. The information they provide is very thorough and their assignments are very accommodating to each students working environments. These assignments are very practical, since they simulate real work situations. I feel adequately prepared for a career and more confident in my design skills now that I have almost finished the course.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the Interior Design Institute. One of my favorite things about the program is that it provides real portfolio experience through practical projects, not just theory. I’ve learned technical skills that I know I’ll actually use in the industry, along with valuable information about starting and running my own interior design business.

The content of the course is comprehensive, interesting and very insightful. The online portal is user friendly and my coordinator has been nothing but kind yet very professional in my assessments. I would definitely recommend IDI!

I am currently studying at The Interior Design Institute Canada, and while I still have a long way to go, I have already learned so much.

Coming from a construction background, I thought I had a decent handle on reading plans. However, the last couple of modules I completed have completely changed my perspective, helping me look at plans so much closer and in far greater detail.

My tutor has been incredible. The feedback provided is always so helpful, and I genuinely feel very well-supported throughout the process.

This course is terrific! The coursework is informative, well-structured, visually appealing, and user-friendly and there is no time pressure to complete each module. I just finished module 10 today. I am finding components of the course, enjoyable such as learning how to make mood boards.
It would be great if the course could be delivered in a way that is more inclusive to different types of learners. I’m definitely a visual hands on learner and it would’ve been incredible if there were videos as well as reading at the start of each module to learn the new content. I also find some of the programs like floor planner, a little bit clunky to use.
