Delivery was super quick but the item was badly damaged. I believed they sent the trees in boxes based on their “pledge” and the pics they put up but they actually come in bags. This was a wedding gif... Toon meer

No tree and no response to emails
Purchased a tree over a week before Mother’s Day. It was dispatched with delivery due on the Wednesday before by Royal Mail. By Friday the tracking info said it was still at the same sorting office it arrived at on the Wednesday. Contacted the company first thing to ask for advice and then since their site says they reply ‘usually with in moments’ I emailed again at lunch time as had no response. Their site says “ My parcel has not arrived… If it has taken longer than the stated delivery time, please let us know and we'll do everything we can to make it right.”
So I was hopeful they’d be able to send a replacement out the next day (since they’re advertising this on their social media) but no response at all.
Extremely disappointed in lack of any customer service and now I have go and search the high street for a present and am down nearly £50.
Bought a cherry tree for a family…
Bought a cherry tree for a family member's birthday, which turned out to be a TINY twig. Looks absolutely nothing like any of the photos on the website and is such a massive rip off! Just go to a garden centre instead.
Buy from a garden centre
My tree arrived the day before my birthday when it was requested to be delivered on the day. It was the wrong tree which my husband ordered. It has remained in its dormant stage for 3 months and I am pretty sure it's dead. I have endeavoured to contact the company however, they are removing my posts on facebook and not replying to any emails. Absolutely appalling.
Awful customer service
I ordered a tree. Got a notification from Royal Mail that it would be delivered on a day I would not be in. I changed the delivery date. I also opted out of Royal Mail safe space as there isn't a safe space around my house. The tree was delivered anyway, on the day I was not in, left in front of my house and stolen (unsurprisingly!). I got in touch with Present Tree, they initially refused a refund, sent me a voucher instead and said they would not refund as it was delivered to my house. They eventually said they would do a replacement but I had to pay for delivery. They stuck to this line until I quoted my rights to them. And then said they would send a replacement "as a gesture of goodwill". It was not a gesture of goodwill - it was my statutory rights. Really poor customer service. Until the parcel is delivered to me (or a safe space I have agreed to) then it is not deemed to be delivered and they are liable. Really disappointing.
Dont be fooled by the website buy in and don't believe their delivery date promise
The website tells the story of wonderful gift, wonderful packaging and a sentimental gift. However If they cannot deliver as they say they will - what is the point ?
A delivery date is important if it is a gift, I choose The presentree specifically for their delivery date. However 2 days past the agreed delivery date it is still NOT with the person whom I gifted. Upon contacting them for help and hopefully a revised order via a guaranteed delivery method I was met with an apology, and told Royal Mail are usually reliable and if I still dont have anything in 2 days time to contact back - what rubbish customer service. Your missing the point - its already late and you have done nothing to resolve this issue.
Never use again and will spread the word - your website is hype !
Fantastic customer care!
I received a beautiful plant that unfortunately come with some leaves damaged. Customer care was absolutely fantastic and gave me voucher and advise straight away.
Highly recommended!!
A huge disappointment for my ‘tree’…
A huge disappointment for my ‘tree’ delivery - a twig has been received with no card detailing the sentimental words I had thought about and written ! A huge disappointment for a special birthday - absolute rip off
Twig
Ordered a Hawthron tree for my partner at Christmas - I was so shocked - despite the website and guidelines suggesting it comes grown all I had received was a twig.
I’ve noticed others have had the same. Please be wary when purchasing and do not fall for the pictures of the website
Just a small twig
I was mortified to give my son in law a 10 inch fig twig for Christmas, which cost £48.
A Thoughtful and Beautifully Packaged Gift from The Present Tree
I recently purchased a pear tree from The Present Tree as a housewarming gift, and it exceeded all expectations in terms of presentation and quality.
From the moment it arrived, the care and thoughtfulness in its packaging were evident. The tree was nestled securely in an eco-friendly, biodegradable pot and wrapped in a beautiful hessian bag, giving it a rustic yet elegant appearance. A hand-tied ribbon added a lovely finishing touch, making it feel truly special as a gift.
The included care instructions were clear and helpful, ensuring the recipient felt confident in planting and nurturing the tree. There was even a thoughtful message about the tree's symbolism—prosperity and new beginnings—which made it a particularly meaningful gift for someone moving into a new home.
The tree itself was healthy, with vibrant leaves and a sturdy structure, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality. The recipient was delighted, and it made their new home feel instantly more special.
Overall, The Present Tree delivered not just a tree, but a memorable and heartfelt gifting experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful gift idea.
I ordered two small Christmas trees…
I ordered two small Christmas trees with lights etc.It looked lovely in pictures but the lights are cheap. The ribbons are smaller than depicted. I feel disappointed in the product. I saw same tree without dressing in Tesco for 10.00. If you buy lights add a few ribbons or balls probably save 30.00 per tree.
Have gifted three trees to separate…
Have gifted three trees to separate recipients, for a variety of occasions. All my friends have been delighted with their trees and to my knowledge, all the trees are flourishing!
Coffee Plant
Was gifted a beautiful coffee tree by my partner.
Certainly looks lovely on arrival, wonderful packaging.
Not long after, despite meticulously looking after it in accordance with the instructions the plant was diseased.
The first advice was water it and chop of the leaves, the second advice was it’s been over watered!!
This is just another company who has put all the effort into a fancy box and slapped organic on the side, they know nothing about the product.
I was shocked at the price my partner paid.
I have a 12 ft Fig tree in the garden I planted for half the price.
30 years gardening experience by the way.
10/10
Lovely packaging, feels & looks luxury. Tree arrived flourishing with a beautiful plaque inside the box with a heartfelt message. They really know how to elevate a simple tree gift. Well done The Present Tree!
Very dissapointing twig!
My daughter purchased a tree for a mother's day present for my wife. The wild Plum.
It really is a dissapointment. It’s a twig!
I realise that it is a deciduous tree, we are ardent gardeners and and have several similar already, so I was not expecting a lot of foliage but this really is poor value for the high price you charge. A lot obviously goes on the packaging!!
BUT- There is not a single side shoot on the whip, nothing like the pics of he healthy tree on your Web site.
The smallest of plants and not an…
The smallest of plants and not an ornamental cherry at all but a laurel. Ridiculous price for what is a twig. Overpriced and over-packaged. The purchaser had expected something quite different for their gift to me. Somewhat deceptive marketing and sales tactics employed.
Be more honest
Be more honest. My supposed tree which was a gift that arrived late, was little more than a twig in a huge box which I could have found in the hedges around the neighbouring field. I feel that the donor was robbed blind.
Lack of customer service
I placed an order in mid November to ensure Christmas delivery and I did not receive my gift. I attempted to use the online email service and contact form and received no reply. I then telephoned and was told that I had to use the service again (the service that didn't work). They were unable to tell me where my item was or when (or indeed if) I would receive it.
Delight and Joy both giving and receiving
I ordered a wild Plum tree and hamper as a thank you gift for my sister and brother in law who are having me stay for Christmas. The Present Tree take such care over the trees and plants and packaging. Such a delightful gist to give to loved ones …. And they are filled with joy now and while the tree grows…. A wonderful memory … Thaa as no you Present Tree
