A few months ago I purchased the Discovery set and opened the door to these fabulous perfumes. My current favourite is Gold Coast, but the new Appletipple is a very close second. Saltworks perfumes are long lasting, come in great packaging and the customer service is excellent.

Lovely perfumes. Recommend trying discovery sets. If you get bored try the mini bottles and layering them.

This company has started using AI generated content for their ads, like their latest Facebook video ad featuring two women in a restaurant. I have lost all interest in this brand. For a business that boasts about sustainability and being cruelty free, it’s hilarious that your use of AI content supports AI data centres that are destroying landscapes and natural habitats. Probably the worst move your brand could have made for marketing.

Having ordered the Discovery set and found several perfumes that I liked very much, I decided to treat myself to a full sized Lovestory. The Discovery sample had been all that I had hoped - long lasting and a very pleasant and long-lasting perfume. However, the 100ml bottle has failed miserably to emulate the sample. It simply does not last for very long - only an hour or so. On contacting the company, because I had had the perfume for eight months they state that they would only remedy the problem within 30 days. Eight months is too long apparently. This surprised me as I have perfumes that I have used for many years which are still in perfect condition. I always store my perfumes in the correct way so I find it difficult to see why just eight months should render this matter one that cannot be investigated. I note that this is not an isolated observation. Surely a company would welcome the opportunity to investigate if a product is falling short of its claims of long lasting. I was offered a couple of remedies - i.e. shake the bottle well before use and pump the spray a few times. This made no difference.
This is not an inexpensive purchase - £95! For that sort of money I expect a life-time of use, not just a few weeks.

I wanted to leave a review somewhere because I've left a negative review twice on the company's own site and it's "mysteriously" disappeared both times, leading me to believe that they purposefully delete or just don't post negative feedback, which is a red flag in and of itself.

Please, please don't get caught up in the marketing hype like I did. Product-wise, the Discovery Set that's all over social media is a complete waste of money. The scents are weak and oily, with no longevity. Some (Surfari especially) had absolutely no scent whatsoever. Even worse, they claim that each of the tiny tester bottles have 60 sprays each (meaning they claim the Set has 600 sprays). I used one bottle for maybe four or five sprays, and it was already half empty, so it's laughably misleading.

On another ethical note, Saltworks claim all over their site and promos that they're an artisanal brand, proud of their small-batch hand-made, "for people by people" principles. Except that apparently doesn't extend to anyone else, because their promo booklet and site art is entirely AI slop, so they're perfectly happy destroying other creative industries to save a few pounds. "By people for people" I guess only applies to them. If that's an issue for you, another reason to avoid.

I bought the Discovery set and have been working my way through them. Without doubt L’Orangerie is my favourite in the box. A couple I didn’t like at all and the rest were nice but my voucher is definitely going on a full size L’Orangerie. I will work through the other discovery sets and hopefully find some others as nice.

The products are expensive and the claims they make do not justify the cost.
The packaging and the shampoo and conditioner bottles and pumps look lovely, but both are very drying on the hair. They are meant to condition grey/ white hair and tame dry ends and frizz, but they have made it worse. I have used them three times and they now sit in the shower, £40.00 wasted.

Great concept and beautifully packaged perfumes that make an excellent first impression. Initially, the scents smell amazing, but unfortunately the longevity just isn't there for me. After a couple of hours, I can no longer smell them, which is disappointing as I had hoped to find my new "go-to" perfume. In my experience, they simply don't live up to the hype.

That said, I cannot fault the customer service. When I contacted the team, they were extremely helpful and resolved my query immediately, which even led to me purchasing the other sample set, Fresh Experience.

However, since buying the sample sets, I have been inundated with emails requesting reviews and encouraging me to use the £25 voucher. As I am not satisfied with the perfumes' longevity or pricing, I will not be using the voucher. I would also appreciate a reduction in the frequency of promotional and review-request emails.

Sadly my first experience with The Saltworks Company will now be my last !
I decided after existence research that I’d buy the 50ml bottle of the Surfari perfume.
The adverts clearly says “ We’re all about being long lasting “ ! No that’s not the case , I’m so disappointed, but I’m even more disappointed with their customer service…. Very poor , all they had to say was I should have bought the discovery pack , no compassion, no help , no resolution as I was clearly upset as this was a very expensive buy !
The adverts are misleading… it’s simple ! I waited to hear back but surprisingly they never emailed back , so disappointing ☹️☹️☹️

I absolutely love Saltworks fragrances. There are so many to choose from, and you can opt to layer too.
One review mentioned that they are not like the top brands and complex. I totally disagree! These fragrances have so many notes to them, they change throughout the day I feel too. For me, perfume is supposed to make you feel a certain way, its supposed to lift you, to enhance how you feel and these certainly do! So well done saltworks! I tend to buy the discovery sets as I love being able to change my scent alot, but in those you get a fabulous £25 voucher off a full size bottle..which i will use...within the year once ive found my total fave! I have many!
Just ordered the Fresh scent discovery set. Loved the limited edition set too. This will be my third discovery set for women and I have also bought the men's for my partner. He said he isnt one to use scent on a regular basis but he too enjoys wearing these! So thats a winner. Never an issue with ordering, great customer service.

I gave Saltworks a go because I was searching for a summer scent. As someone who loves the heavy/woody/spicy scents I've always struggled to find a daytime summer scent that didn't just smell like sugar water. So i ordered the discovery set and fell in love with l'orgengrie, love story, surfari, and rose harmony. After wearing a different perfume every day to get a sense of how long they lasted and how they smelt after long wear I decided on l'orangrie. I ordered a full size bottle with my discount from the discovery set, got it within 2 days and got a free travel bottle of the same scent thrown in too which was a lovely surprise. Packaging is beautiful and the little booklet to rate the scents in the discovery set is a lovely touch. All the girls at work were having a look and having a smell of the samples. Definitely getting the romance discovery set next time to find a new winter scent and look forward to getting my bottle refilled to avoid waste. This brand ticks all my boxes

I saw this company advertised on Facebook last year, so I visited their website independently not clicking on the ad on Facebook because we all know there are some odd things on FB.
I signed up for their emails and I received a free sample of South Peach. With a money off e-voucher I purchased a full size bottle. I wear it frequently and always get positive comments about the fragrance. It lasts well. I have bought other scents in their range and I have been equally happy with my purchases.

I had the discovery box. Scents are nice & long lasting. I enjoyed wearing most of them. I thought the box was a good deal as it contained a £25 voucher to buy the perfume you liked most. Unfortunately you have to buy a perfume that costs £75. So another £50 spend. These are all too expensive from my POV

I bought a discovery set for £29. Beautifully packaged box of 10 (2ml) bottles of perfume to sample, with a booklet describing each scent and space to rate each one, There is also a £25 gift voucher to redeem against any full size bottle or 3 handbag size bottles of perfume that you may decide upon. Customer service excellent, very responsive and personalised. The scent lasts all day. There is literally nothing bad to say about this fabulous gift to myself, I absolutely love it.

Beautiful long lasting perfumes......however, what makes this company is the customer service. I had an issue which ended up being my fault. They could not have been more helpful, speedy responses and thorough investigation and a positive outcome. Thank you Saltworks

I bought the men's discovery set as I was after new lighter or gender neutral fragrances after enjoying some from M&S. I guess you could call them gender neutral - none of them smell like something anybody would want to wear, whatever their gender. Still, their USP was that they smell better once on your skin...

Unfortunately, not only was that not the case, but the two t shirts I wore when I tried the scents are now completely ruined. I've washed them four times with a soak in between and I cannot get the awful residual perfumy smell out of the collars. So, add that cost to the totally overpriced testers and it's been a massive fail.

I'm glad others are posting here to give their bad experiences, as social media is absolutely rammed with positive comments. Clearly I should have come here first instead of falling victim to heavy online reviews, which are obviously aggressively paid for. Call me gullible.

It's not all negative - I've given one extra star for the nice box they arrived in.

Great concept. Lovely packaging. Great fun to try a new smell every day. I really wanted to love at least one of the fragrances but, having tried them all , I am disappointed that none "hit the spot". They are all similar and really not long lasting. I would recommend Oud Attar samples as an alternative - same price and much better product (in my opinion).

I bought the discovery set and just used the voucher to buy a few travel sized bottles. I agree with the comments about being too expensive. I disagree with the comments about lasting power because it’s the forever chemicals which disrupt our hormones that facilitate the lasting fragrance, fragrance being one of the most toxic things we have around the home. This company confirmed that no hormone altering chemicals are used, that’s maybe why they don’t last and that doesn’t bother me. When placing an order it takes some while before it’s sent out, many companies ship the same day. Again, it’s the price and the slow service when ordering that is compelling me to rate this review as 3 stars.
