Would give 0 stars if I could. Bought a set of 10 Pluto post lights, put them up and 5 out 10 did not work. Contacted Customer Service and had to wait a few days for a response. Then they asked for a photo. More than two weeks on, multiple emails to and from and requests to return the lights for a refund and still no resolution. Eventually got a code for a return label but the system that generates the labels after you fill in all the relevant information does not work, the button 'create label' doesn't do anything. Still waiting for a response from Solar Centre. Terrible product and appalling Customer Service, would never buy anything else from Solar Centre.

Ordered some wall lights with the heading of free delivery. Go to pay and then get a receipt with £4.99 delivery added. This charge is for a quick next day delivery! Why would one pay for delivery on an item that is a preorder-order. Asked for full refund! We shall see how good they are at that!

I saw this company advertised on the GB News channel (to be honest their adverts drive me nuts usually, but this one caught my eye). I wanted new lights for our cabin/summer house and thought solar was the way to go.
I saw the Elan multicoloured solar festoon lights.
They came very quickly, I had a slight issue with the postage but an email to Ella and it was sorted straight away.
I charged them for the 3 days as it wasn’t very sunny. They are just what I was looking for, not overly bright but thats fine as I dont want to annoy the neighbours. I will certainly be looking at this company again if I can decide where to put more lights. 😊

Unfortunately, the saga outlined below continues - with this company failing to make contact to arrange the collection scheduled for tomorrow.

I have purchased a good many items from this company over the years. Recently, I purchased 4 sets of solar festoon lights along with other items. 2 of the festoon light sets have stopped working within weeks of receipt. Customer Services has been very slow to deal with the return and replacement of these items. It seems that even when they do get returned I will have to wait whilst investigations as to why they are not working are carried out! I suggested that as soon as they get them back they send out replacements....no response to this!...

The measure of a good company is how they deal with issues when things go wrong...so far, I rest my case and will not be inclined to order again.

We’ve had a few lights from them and they have been great! The last set we had stopped working but Ella immediately sent out a replacement and they are fab! Wonderful customer service

My Chiron Solar Spotlight White / Warm White bought in March 2025 started to fail after about 3 months and has now failed completely. Previously quite happy with this product but will now avoid. I did query with customer services when the problem first occurred but response was not helpful.

I had a small query on an order sent late on Saturday so sent an email seeking clarification. I didn’t expect a reply until the next working day so was pleasantly surprised when I received a response on Sunday morning, from Nicole at Solar Centre, clarifying the position.
Family members had previously recommended Solar Centre for their service and products and I was not disappointed by either when my order was received.
A good company to do business with.

Here is the returns get out clause. I bought 4 post lights, and paid a good price for them this is what you get from a company that claims to be British. Lights are made in China. One of the lights had an intermittent fault. I tapped it with my finger and it lit up suggesting a poor connection fault. I asked to return it for a replacement. they wrote back asking for a short video. How can you send a video if I already fixed it but it could play up again. A good company would have asked to return it and they would inspect it and then send a replacement. But this company have invented there own get out clause. needless to say I would not use this company again. And would not recommend them. you pay premium prices for cheap Chinese knock off products.

A faulty spot light was delivered ...money refunded but I paid for the delivery of a faulty item as postage not refunded.. strange customer service. The company did not reply to my emails so altogether frustrating.
I have seen other reviews stating same thing.....faulty product and the very annoying habit of not replying to emails. Will not use or recommend again.

We bought two outside lanterns in March of last year. We’ve enjoyed them immensely as they look great and throw off a lot of light.
Regrettably one of the lanterns bulbs stopped working. I contacted Solar and they were incredibly helpful and efficient in solving the problem.
Great product and great service - could not recommend them more highly.

We had a fault with one of our lights. Solar Centre agreed to send a replacement after we provided a video/photo showing the fault.
No quibbles or queries just a straight replacement which we feel is great service.

The customer service is brilliant. Unfortunately one of the lights I purchased stopped working. I contacted the support team and had a quick response from Ella. I have been sent a replacement and look forward when it arrives to complete my set. The “Lavenham Solar Garden lights” make such a difference to my garden and would highly recommend them.

What a great company with good quality products. I have used this company many times to buy my solar lights and they have always been good. The Falmouth fraction lights are my favourite. They have lasted years and still look great! The glass bulbs make them look better quality too. I had a small issue with a smashed bulb and Ella came straight back to me offering to send some more out to me, very quickly and efficiently, thanks Ella! Was buying 2 Truro solar lights via B&Q, saw they were sold from Solar Centre, so bought them direct through Solar Centre even cheaper! Great company, great products. Recommend.

Bought a lot of lights from here and 60% don’t work or have been faulty. Recurring issue with festoon lights. The final straw was the most recent replacement they sent also didn’t work. Clearly customer service is at the bottom of the list and quality checks before sending items out. Absolute waste of my time. You’re lucky if you get a reply to an email. Not very friendly on the phone either. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely by far the best solar lights i have ever bought .they last for years ,one set i have had for 10 years and they are still going strong .I will never use any other company again. I have had many solar lights over the years that may last a year but since finding these i have them all over my back and front garden .i love them .I had a small issue with a set and customer service was amazing, please try this company you will not be disappointed ,Thank you to Solar Centre A+++++

I bought two solar lights for my Dad for Christmas. One of them is amazing and working well - he loves it. The other sadly stopped working after a few months.

I emailed Ella at SolarCentre, and she was very responsive and is getting a replacement sent out to replace this. Amazing customer service - thanks Ella!

Confusion about postage but sorted by Nicole very quickly.

The service is excellent. My query was answered by Ella very quickly and to my satisfaction. The goods arrived promptly and although I have not used the lights yet they seem to be of good quality and they were well packaged. I would certainly buy from them again.

I have been using this company for many years and I keep coming back to them to order lights both for myself and for family and friends. Their service is always of the highest quality and the products are excellent. Today’s experience was with Ella and I thank her for dealing with my query so swiftly.

Received wrong light. Emailed, dealt with Ella. Problem solved in minutes. Thank you Ella!
