Kuk Sool Won of Thetford Reviews 

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to participate in a fitness class (all COVID secure), led by Kris himself. Kris is engaging and friendly, and as a newcomer, I felt at ease in the class.

Whilst Martial Arts is Kris' main focus, the exercises during the class were suitable for everyone. Kris took the time to make sure that each participant worked to their own level, and customised some of the exercises for me. I have low blood pressure so Burpees are definitely out of the question! (Thankfully!).

At a mere £5 a class (really should be more), I highly recommend that anyone local to Thetford connects with Kris, and books themselves in for a class. You may even be tempted to start Martial Arts!

I don't normally bother with reviews, however....This martial arts school is excellent with competent and approachable instructors that we trust. I've always witnessed a supportive, positive and inclusive learning culture at Kuk Sool Won Thetford. Furthermore, we recently had feedback from my child's teachers who claim that his ability to concentrate has vastly improved. We put this directly down to his attendance at this excellent martial arts school. Don't put it off... I waited 6 months myself to join because of old injuries. However, since I joined my injuries have actually improved. I have also meet some wonderful people since I joined this year. Give it a go.

Kuk Sool Won Thetford is a fantastic club. I have been trainning here since 2014 and Sir Kris French is a great teacher. The classes have taught me a lot including self discipline and respect as well as the Korean martial arts syllabus. Kuk sool won Thetford is a very welcoming family martial arts club. One that promotes great self achievement . My daughter will also be starting here now that she is old enough to attend the kids classes. I could not recommend kuk sool won enough excellent service.

I have been going to kuk sool one of Thetford for 4 years now and could not have picked a better school to go to from day one master Chris French made me feel welcome and at ease and still dose his attention to his students is amazing the benefits for me going with full work outs to strengthen body and mind has proven its self time and time again I could not recommend master French enough

My teenage daughter has been attending KSW Thetford for just over 2 years. In that time her confidence and fitness have improved dramatically. Thank you so much Kris and the KSW family for everything - even the post-Christmas ‘turkey buster’ course for us far-than-fit parents.

My son started about a year and a half a go and had completely changed ever since! He started out a very nervous scared boy who had zero confidence and with kris Frenchs hard work he is now a very confident happy child and I will be forever grateful! Not only has he lost weight but gotten fitter and so much more happier. I could not be more pleased and hes still going strong there and loving kuk sool thetford

I've trained various martial arts since my teens and Kuk Sool Won is the best I've tried. Master French is a very talented athlete with a relaxed teaching style that brings the best from this students.

D has been attending Kuk Sool Won for just over a year now. Master Kris is supportive, encourages and engages his students and D has become more confident as a result of this. D really enjoys his classes and practices at home regularly (you can tell that a child enjoys what they do when they favour practicing KSW in the garden instead of playing on their PlayStation!) The ethos and values mirror that of our own. Self discipline and respect for ourselves and others are two key principles Kuk Sool Won epitomises. I would highly recommend.

When my child started KSW four years ago he was clumsy, forgetful and lacked concentration and self confidence. KSW has helped him gain core strength, improved memory and concentration, higher self esteem and better self control. Master Kris is great with children and adults alike and is so passionate about his KSW that he left his job as a policeman to dedicate himself full time to his dojang. His tenacity never faded and even during the Covid-19 lockdown he still found a way of delivering his sessions via zoom video meetings. KSW encompasses much more than most other martial arts and fitness levels quickly improve. The dojang has a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere and there are several family groups who enjoy doing KSW together.

I’ve known Kris for a while now & was intrigued to try out a class. I joined on to a mini course of ‘Turkey Buster’ in the new year. There was a massive range of ages at this dojo, all showing so much respect for both Kris, the students & the dojo itself.

I was made to feel very welcomed into the class by both Kris & the students, I really enjoyed the time I spent training with them all & would recommend to anyone wanting to try Kuk Sool Won to start with Kris, no matter your age, you will not only learn a martial art & workout but make some lovely friends along the way!

I haven't personally had a session with Kris but having known him now for over a year as a fellow business owner, I can highly recommend Kris in his capacity of running Kuk Sool Won in the way he promotes the business in our Networking Meetings. He comes across as professional and knowledgeable and from reading other reviews, this is clearly agreed by a number of others.

Kuk Sool Won of Thetford, the best place that you could ever go, it will shape your body, spirit, you will build up your confidence or learn more respect to others. You will find amazing people there starting from PKJN Kris French as our instructor and mentor.

I personally do it almost a year, started age 34...and I still remember what I have asked first ....* am I not too old to start?* the thing is... you are never too old or too young for it...

Fitness wise.... I am not the fittest person, I was even less...but doing KSW I feel lot better every day...

I am sure every one could or at least should try it... I was hesitant myself.... but if you find that a bit of spark...motivation in yourselves.... come along.

Kris is passionate and this comes across in how he presents Kook Sool Won. His knowledge is incredible and delivers a great display and teaching the fundamentals of KSW. He teaches classes of all ages and abilities.

On a personal level he has a great sense of humour and genuinely a fantastic guy.

My boys (age 7 & 8) have been doing Kuk Sool won for a while now and love it. They are able to learn martial arts in a warm, friendly environment with a very good instructor who is brilliant at working with students of all different ages.
I recently joined the club myself and can safely say that every time I am pushed to my limit, Kris pushes me that little bit further to achieve something else.
Can really recommend these classes for both children and adults plus it’s a great way to stay fit and meet other people, with all abilities being catered for.

Kuk Sool Won of Thetford is an amazing Martial Arts school . It encompasses many, varied Martial Arts disciplines and has pupils from 4yrs old to 70 years old. I can vouch for that personally as I am that 70yr old. It certainly helps me to keep fit and healthy in body and in mind and I can't recommend it highly enough. It is very family friendly and has a growing social side with new students being made welcome immediately and finding making new friendships easy. It's a highly professional set-up but nobody should be daunted about giving it a go. They offer free taster sessions too.
