The Wade Rod Co. Reviews

This rod is probably the best I have ever had for the money. I have a 5wt and a 8wt and use both every week.

Rod is slick. Can’t wait for the season to start this year.

Amazing rod. Brand new to fly fishing and this rod gets the job done!

The rod is beautiful. Still learning slow action, but the sensitivity is amazing. Couldn't be happier with my purchase

Excellent rod so far great balance matched with a lamson liquid 1.5 3/4 reel first fish was a pig wild brown 3wt handle wonderful defently be checking other rods out from wade

Received my rod quickly took it out and caught many fish the rod handled well and was very sensitive

I have the nymphster 10’ 4 weight (Brown Trout) Rod. It’s very well made. Very sensitive. And very light weight. Which is great for tight lining nymphs. I have caught close to 30 trout on this rod ranging in size from 9”-14”. You can feel the lightest bite with this rod. Definitely recommend this rod. I look forward to using more Wade Rod Co rods in the future.

Wade Rod Company was very supportive, and easy to work with. Considering returning because the rod was really an impulse buy, but Wade Rod Company has been great to work with.

Good over all experience. The reel was incorrect when shipped the first time. I had a 9wt the next week.
Review of the products: after 16 hours on the water

9wt Bendero.
Great handling rod. I would guess closer to 9.5-10wt handles weighted/unweighted streamers very nicely. Casting Rio saltwater general purpose (know to be heavy) Fast action medium heavy Spine. Lots of back bone! Handles back country reds nicely. Had 18-25 mph winds this weekend. 75+ feet cast where the norm.

Pelican Large Reel.
Work of art!! Great finish and light! 300 yards of 20 lb (round) Dacron backing and 100foot fly line. Drag is smooth and constant. Max drag in a bit low for my liking guessing in 6-8 lb range. That said the “swamp donkeys” I hunt are know for low gear power. Palming the reel slows them down. Cranking knob could be a touch larger and textures for saltwater use. Slimy hands make for sore knuckles.

Over all very happy. Great tool and a fair price.

I haven’t had the chance to use the rod yet but oh boy I’m itching to. I purchased the BadFish x Wade Bendero 9wt and its everything I wanted. Can’t wait to take it to the coast this summer!

Subscription plan is quick, simple, and easy. I grabbed the badfish bendero and it’s a gorgeous rod and I couldn’t ask for anything more from it.

Great rod, great price, fast shipping can’t wait to catch my first fish on this great rod!!

Love thier products and being able to buy a higher quality rod without the huge upfront cost is amazing will definitely be a repeat customer if they make a slower action nymph rod.

This 10' #4 "Nymphster" rod was a step up from my old shorter, stiffer #6. I fish a canal with steep high banks. Down at water's edge, I needed a longer rod with more flexibility to get up and over the banks on my back cast. The rod is everything I hoped for and expected at a fair price compared to retail fly shops. I also appreciate the "club" financing plan.

I recently bought the Tide Chaser 9ft 9wt for bass and carp fishing. This is the lightest rod I have ever held and the action is fantastic. Its absolutely incredible! I really cant wait to take it out. The only reason I haven't given it 5 Stars is because I haven't taken it out yet. I still need a fitting large arbor reel to go with it.

I haven’t used the rod yet. Got for a trip over thanksgiving. Quick shipping. Came with a case!! The competition makes you buy one for extra. Looks and feels like a well made rod. Once some of the other sizes are in stock I’ll order more

first glass rod, seems to work great

Another incredible rod at a great price. The action is perfect. I can cast larger flies without sacrificing the subtle touches and sensitivety. You guys are the Sh#@!

Very easy to order pay and receive. I’m looking forward to buying more. I would highly recommend. Excellent service and fly rod.
