Mickey Mouse Company
I booked what I thought was a Football package over the phone with this company on Saturday. I deliberately chose to book over the phone instead of online as I was looking for accomodation for an unusual '3-bed' room. The operator (Julia) who took my call stated that there was a 3-bed room available at the hotel I wanted but said there was an IT issue so she couldn't book it. As she had problems confirming the booking and to guarantee securing the 3 tickets she said she'd book another hotel and sort it out on the Monday and call me when it was done. No call on Monday. I chased up the problem. She said she in was in the hands of the 'Commercial Team'. No call on Tuesday. Chased up again. Still not resolved, awaiting Commercial Team. No call on Wednesday. I chased up yet again. This time I was told the original hotel cannot be booked so I'd have to take the provisional booking at the hotel 10 miles away from the orginal hotel!
Julia attempted to dig herself out of the hole by saying that the provisional booking was the real booking and that the original booking wasn't guaranteed! I then told her that our telephone conversation was recorded and she did not say that on the recording. She panicked and said that it wasn't legal to do record conversations. An admission of guilt?
I then asked to speak to a manager. She said there wasn't any available. I asked to speak to the Commercial Team. She said no customers are allowed to speak to them! Farcical company!
Nevertheless she is not willing to budge and its a take it or leave it option. Basically don't trust what they say and don't use this Mickey Mouse company.
