Would definitely recommend them. I order from Timbersource regularly, I have only had issues with an order once and they were beyond amazing when it came to resolving the issue and getting me the correct timbers I needed.

Good product but bad communication
Good - The material that was delivered was exactly what had been ordered.
Bad - when ordering I was told 3-5 days lead time. In the end it was almost 1 month and I had to chase what what going on, as opposed to being updated.

Excellent service and very good range of woods. All the pieces were a little warped, but within what I'd expect. One piece though was so warped as to be unusable having lost a lot of thickness after jointing.

3 where unusable due to splits. Advert said planed but still needed a good sand. Colour of wood not very consistent. On a positive I did get 3 replacements very quickly.
Quality is better elsewhere.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that the initial quality and colour consistency fell short of your expectations. Sapele is a natural timber, so grain and colour variation can occur, but receiving split or unusable pieces is certainly not the standard we aim for. Regarding the surface finish, while Planed All Round (PAR) removes the rough sawn texture to achieve accurate final dimensions, it usually requires a light finish-sanding prior to final coating depending on the project.
We always want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their timber. If you'd like to discuss your order further or if there's anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. We’d appreciate the chance to ensure your next experience is a much better one.

The pre-cut timber I ordered off the shelf was all perfectly moulded and neatly packaged for delivery. Website is comprehensive and easy to use. Good verbal communication with a real person. Very pleased with the resulting build.

Buy wood!
I found Timbersource by chance when sourcing laminated pine panels for a job. Conveniently, they are 5 minutes from my workshop which makes deliveries and collections very easy. I have no doubt their delivery service is great regardless of the distance.
After my first year using them regularly, I can confidently say that the service is excellent; the staff are friendly and informative, not to mention super quick to draw up quotes and correspond. I often call up, and every time I leave the call with what I need to know.
I make good use of their invaluable off cut rack for window or furniture repairs, sill and trim work, smaller furniture items such as stools or side tables - from SY Pine to Iroko, it’s all there (except for the prized Walnut!).
When I’m not in the mood to plane a rough sawn order, they provide an accurate machining service to my specifications, and I know they offer a lot in the way of machined profiles.
I often ask about custom species or specifications, whether it be exotic/tropical marine grade timbers or air dried stock for steam bending, and they have the network to meet my needs with traceability.
Put simply, Timbersource are nice people who work at an independent timber yard to provide a quality product and service to us locally and beyond! I look forward to a continued working relationship and to see our businesses growing together. Thanks TS
