The artwork is beautiful and very skilfully done. The TingaTinga paintings had begun in the early 1970s and were unique folk art. They still are, fifty years later. I remember their early years with great admiration. They started with beautifully simple designs of wildlife and birds, done on masonite board, and the paint was bicycle paint back then. Tourists quickly realized their beauty and bought them by the hundreds. What began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has now spread to all the major cities throughout East Africa. I heartily recommend artwork from the TingaTinga artists.

I ordered 5 paintings from Tinga Tinga. I "made an offer" on their website, hoping to get a discounted price, and they agreed to it. Almost all of the communication on their end came from Ali, who always replied very quickly and was very professional. Overall, it took 5 weeks between the time I placed my order and when I received the work in the United States. During that time, Ali was in constant communication providing me with updates. The artwork was shipped in the appropriate container in order to keep the paintings intact during transportation. When I received them, I was very impressed with the workmanship.

I had no time to buy a painting while in Africa and found TingaTinga African Art online when I came home. My painting arrived in a tube and it is gorgeous! When I took it to the frame shop they were blown away. The company was very professional and responded quickly to any emails I sent. They represent wonderful artists and their work is superb.
