Absolutely awful experience with TireDirect.ca.

I ordered a set of tires and one arrived defective. The shop couldn’t get it to seat properly and ended up wasting time trying to balance it, costing me extra money while my car sat unusable for days. This was clearly a bad tire out of the box.

Trying to get it resolved was even worse. I called multiple times, left voicemails, and got no response. When they finally replied, they immediately pushed responsibility onto the manufacturer and told me to deal with it myself.

Even after I contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed TireDirect should be handling the claim, TireDirect still refused to take ownership. Their “solution” was that I pay for a brand new tire upfront, ship the defective one back at my expense, wait weeks for inspection, and maybe get reimbursed later. Meanwhile, I’m already out money from shop fees because of their defective product.

The most ridiculous part? After all of that, they casually say “let us know if you want to buy a new tire so we can help you with this issue.” That IS the issue. I shouldn’t have to buy another tire to fix the one they sent broken.

Now the manufacturer is talking about reimbursing me with a gift card, which just adds to the confusion. At this point it’s been a complete mess with zero accountability from TireDirect.

If anything goes wrong with your order, expect to be ignored, redirected, and stuck paying out of pocket to fix their mistake. I would not recommend buying from them.

We ordered the tires on December 19th. We finally have them on January 9th. They shipped two tires versus the four and they would not respond to us for days on end. We made seven different tickets. They've just closed them all. The tires finally came. It's not worth saving 50 bucks. Don't use them

I placed an order on October 23, 2025 for 4 winter tires. It is now November 24 and I have not yet received my tires. I have reached out to the company via email, and I have been told that the shipment is delayed, but they are not able to tell me where the tires currently are or when the estimated delivery date might be. Absolutely NO tracking information. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer sevice once they have your money. I have called them but just get voice mail. I have left a message asking thm to call me back, but so far, no reply. I am working on my next steps (social media campaign, marketplace investigation of this company, and the legal route). In the meantime I am driving in snow without proper tires while I wait to get this sorted.

I do regular maintenance and tire rotation on my vehicle I also switch my tires from winter to summer and my mechanic noticed the wear in the front tires when doing a tire change to my winters. I only drive to and from work. I drive a 2011 ford fusion sel. My mechanic stated that the tires have worn down evenly and that the back tires are not far behind which means these tires didn’t even last me 6 months that’s absurd. When looking for assistance and verifying the issues with tire direct they don’t take ownership for the tires they sell they are poor quality and no one should have to replace brand new tires in under 6 months.

The company does have good prices, and if you are patient, you will get your goods. The 'shipped within 3 business days' FAQ is a myth.

However, be advised:
Communication Is Non-Existent
Phone number is a constant recording, No one will call back.

Emails are sometimes mostly answered with, "your email has been received and a ticket#"

Wish I looked at the reviews before ordering. Customer service none existent. No live agents. Only email support if you are lucky to get a response. They will make any excuse to close the tickets. I think they are somewhere in Quebec from the sound of their phone VR. That’s summed up why customer service this bad. Do not buy even if free. Order 14827

Horrible experience, essentially ghosted me after paying a thousand dollars. They eventually gave me the money back after many emails. Do not buy, they are not scammers but incompetent.

TERRIBLE! Like others have said. Should have listened to the reviews. Purchased 3 tires, they send me tires that won't ever fit my car. Never ordered these. My size is out of stock on their website, I wonder why they send me the wrong ones. Now they want 200$ just to return these items even though the entire order is in the $700 range. Incredible.

They sent me a quote fast and order placed and tracking was good as well. BUT when they delivered (5:45am apparently on Saturday) obviously we were home. Unfortunately nobody rang the doorbell and the proof of delivery has a signature of our last name but it's fake. Neither me or my husband signed anything. I sent numerous emails to them and to the lady who sent me the offer. The lady just sent me the copy of the fake signature. I told her that's not our signature and asked who signed for that and never heard from them again .

Good price, fast delivery. BUT.... did not receive the right tires, right size but for electric car, impossible to reach them, answering machine message without return. $3000 worth of tires without loading option.

Shipping/billing details were different and the customer service agent emailed to double check the correct address. Very happy with the service!

excellent experience. I've now purchased two full sets of 4 tires from them. Super fast shipping through Loomis that delivered my tires in excellent shape. Tiredirect had a phenomenal sale price that couldn't be beat. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Had a great experience with Tiredirect. They carefully helped me with my order. I felt like I needed help for my order so I reached out to their customer services and they took the time to help me. That was really appreciated!

Thanks to Nadine's advice to help me choose my new tires and rims. She knows all about tires and cars. She provided a good price match. They mounted and balanced my purchased tires on rims so I just had to installed them by myself. Fast shipping as I received my tires and rims 5 days after purchase. Excellent service. Will buy again with this trusted Canadian online retailer.

They do not understand fraud risk - ask key materials required to steal/sell your identity

I experienced the same extremely sketchy ID theft request as another reviewer. When pressed to provide proof of -requiring- this (from Shopify) the same Mégane pasted in a screen capture of the "fraud analysis" section of their eCommerce platform. The slider showed that me using my PayPal account was "medium" risk with the recommendation to contact buyer. Stating "You may receive a chargeback on this order. It's recommended that you confirm the order before fulfilling it."

Confirm the order is entirely different than "ask all the correct things to assume someones identity".

Yeah, I confirmed that I WANT THE ORDER, however, they are insisting that I have to provide ALL the details required for my identity to be sold online. Yeah, your tires are NOT worth my identity. Thanks though.

They did end up refunding my payment, so at least I do not have to proceed with fraud charges. I have passed this along to the RCMP online fraud group as a point of concern - I encourage anybody else who has been asked to provide critical sensitive information to make a similar report, especially if you were fooled into providing the information.

I was skeptical about ordering tires online, but they were almost $1,000 cheaper than locally sourced tires. I read reviews online and from other truck owners who ordered and have no issues. I pulled the trigger and ordered the tires. I received the shipping confirmation the next day, and the tires arrived today in perfect condition and as described. They're also very new, and this isn't old stock; the DOT date codes on the tires show them being manufactured less than three months ago.

Beware ID Theft Scam!

I tried to place an order through this site on a set of rims which were priced well below the retail price of all other providers, that should have been my first red flag.

Shortly after making the order (which I paid for via PayPal) I got the following message requesting I send a photo of my credit card, drivers licence, and utility bill:

We had a fraud notification, a red flag in our system. It is completely automated by our payment processor, Shopify. We are sorry and we do not want to disturb you. Unfortunately, I am not able to go forward with your order, because the system blocks it until we go through these steps and I provide the require justification pieces. I will very simply need a picture of the credit card (only showing the last 4 digits) and a picture of you holding your ID, it can be a driver's licence, for example. If possible, an invoice with your address on it from any service such as electricity or internet carrier. If you prefer, I can also cancel the order and you can try again with a different card."

Considering I paid with PayPal which showed my address and payment method as "verified", and my local tire shop indicated the price was below what even they could get direct from manufacture, this checks all the boxes for an outright ID theft scam.

I recently purchased four Hankook trailer tires from Tiredirect.ca and received 4 tires which were over a year and a half from their production date. Tires have a shelf life and I would expect a normal age to be within 6 months of production. I change out my trailer tires at 5 years as recommended by many tire manufacturers, and as a result I already have lost 30% tire life before they are even installed. Tiredirect told me that 2-3 years from production is acceptable for them to sell tires. I definitely would not recommend them on this basis alone.
