Worst experience so far with Titan Movers located in Woodbridge VA.

Bought a car last week in ID from Auto-traders and wanted to ship it to CA where I live. John Wilson texted me after I requested a quote online and said on Thursday they can do it for $750 and said pick up would be “Tomorrow”. He sends me a link, which showed an initial payment of $160. I finished the link, which only had my name, email, phone number, and the amount of $160 on it.

I text him Friday to see if there was a pick up time, but he ignored me. I text him Saturday am and ask the same, and he says he’s still working on it and then updates later on in the day and says driver will pick up between 8 to 9 pm, but the driver was asking $1699 on delivery.

I texted him that I will not pay anything more than the $750. He texts back saying everything was in the “Paperwork” and I told him there was no paperwork and he never sent me any. I told him to cancel and tried to get other companies but they said because of Titan Movers order on the board (Which I could not see), no other company will take a cheaper rate.

John kept on texting and even apologized for NOT telling me to read “The paperwork” and to give him a chance to get me a “Huge discount”. I text him back and tell him to make it happen and get my car picked up (Two and half days now of waiting).

John texts me a short time later that one driver will give a $400 discount and I would pay $1200 to the driver on delivery, with a pick up on Monday and drop off on Wednesday. He texted me another link, which showed an updated amount of $1350. I ask why it’s $1350 and not $1200, and he responds with its $1200 on delivery, not including my initial payment of $160 (But he says it was $150).

At this point, I just want the car and tell this scammer to get it picked up Monday, which a driver did early afternoon. So far, I’m thinking I’m paying $1360 (John think it’s $1350).

Today, Wednesday, I get a text and a call. John says while we’re on the phone that he sent me a text message with another payment link. I open it up and see a total of $2000. I flipped out on the phone and this is the first time this scammer mentions an $800 brokers fees. I remind this scammer I have all of the text messages and he never told me about an extra fees, on top of the initial $750, and then nothing on top of the $1360.

I asked for a supervisor and hung up on him. When the supervisor called me back, he started referencing this “Paperwork” that I never saw. I ended up hanging up on him because he’s obviously taking the scammers side.

I called the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint but that didn’t do much. Scammer kept saying I had to pay or else they couldn’t finish the deliver. I texted back and fourth with the scammer and told him he never told me about an brokers fees. He then says he’ll give me a $300 discount and charge me $1700, instead of $2000. I kept arguing with him but he was pretty much holding my car as ransom until I paid the full $1700 (Plus the $160 I already paid).

At the end of the night, 7 pm came and my car was still not here. Scammer kept sending a link and saying to “Sign the paperwork”. I had no choice but to sign the payment in order to get my car delivered. At this point, I don’t even know where it is.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER and this company. Again, Titan Movers Trucking out of Woodbridge VA.

I had a terrible experience with Switch and Baid Car Shipment, and I strongly advise others to stay away. From the beginning, the communication was poor, with delayed responses and vague answers regarding my car's status. They initially promised a specific delivery timeframe, but my vehicle arrived weeks late with no proper updates or accountability.

The worst part? When my car finally arrived, it had noticeable scratches and minor dents, which were definitely not there before shipping. When I tried to raise a complaint, customer service was unhelpful and refused to take responsibility. They kept passing the blame and avoided any compensation or even a proper explanation.

Additionally, the pricing was misleading. They quoted one price initially but added unexpected fees at the last minute, leaving me with no choice but to pay more than I had budgeted.

Overall, Switch and Baid lacks professionalism, transparency, and proper customer service. If you care about your vehicle and your money, stay far away and choose a more reputable shipping company.

I had a highly disappointing and costly experience with Titan Moving due to their misleading pricing and unethical business practices.

Initially, I received a text from a representative named Jerry stating they would transport my vehicle for $300 (EXACT PRICE). Later, when I requested a quote, I was told the total cost would be $735, with assurances that the price would not change and that no deposit was required until a carrier was confirmed. Based on these promises, I proceeded with the booking and signed the paperwork.

However, on the day of pickup, the price suddenly increased to $1,285. After lengthy negotiations with a so-called manager named Charles, we settled on $1,085, which was the maximum amount I had budgeted. I signed a new contract at that price, believing the matter was resolved.

Per their contract, I was supposed to receive the carrier’s insurance details and estimated delivery time, but that information was never provided. Instead, the next day, I was presented with yet another contract demanding $1,585. When I refused, they threatened to hold my car in storage and charge me storage fees if I didn’t pay the inflated price. With my vehicle already in transit, I had no choice but to pay under duress.

Throughout the process, they continually misled me and dismissed their own written statements. When I confronted Charles about their deceptive tactics, he admitted that bait-and-switch pricing is their industry standard.

Titan Moving engaged in dishonest business practices and took advantage of my situation, leaving me with no choice but to pay significantly more than originally agreed. I strongly advise against using their services.

Would give zero if possible. Just checked address on contract. It's gone. Owner left and it was a single family home. License states inactive. Does not appear they are currently licensed which means they have no insurance or bond. If you read this and still use them, it's on you. These guys are dirty. Dishonest and con artists. Signed contract. Paid deposit. (BBB says never pay deposit to transporter until driver pickes up vehicle) and they didn't communicate with me until very close to my deadline. Banking on emotions, they then increased the price by $500 bucks. Driver won't pick up unless you pay more. Original price was $750 for transport. Then wanted $1250. Used every excuse you can think of. Complete unprofessional behavior and actually called me "crazy man" then hung up. Trying to get my deposit back now. Do not waste your time. BBB won't even let them apply to be acreditided because of complaints. Move on and do yourself a favor.

Titan Movers did an awesome job getting my vehicle from New Jersey to Houston, TX. Jerry Parker was very helpful on securing my vehicle delivery on a timely manner. I would recommend the service to my friends and family if they need their vehicle transport.

Scam.

Hassle and suspicious from the beginning. Nothing went to plan. Service never arrived and we had to book a tow truck elsewhere.

Deposit non-refundable....of course

I worked with Shaun after my friend recommended them after they used their services. Communication was great. They did what they said they would do at the time they said they would do it. My move was from Ontario to Nova Scotia. He gave a quote and there were no surprises. I have no issue recommending them.

Titan Movers Inc. did a wonderful job of procuring a driver that met specifications in a timely manner. Their agents kept me abreast of the driver’s schedule a day out and followed up when it was time for pick up via phone calls. The bonded and licensed driving service did a fabulous job and their utilization of the superdispatch bill of lading online web service allowed tracking of shipment and view of all pictures taken at pickup and delivery. Strongly recommend Titan Movers Inc.’s service.

If there was a negative ten stars, I would give this company a negative ten stars!!! This company is a SCAM, a THEIF, and they do not issue a refund when they screw up!! I originally began working with TOM. We secured a pick up date and time and he requested a $100 deposit. He stated that it had to be paid via Zelle or CashApp...I should've known at that time that this company was suspicious because I couldn't pay with my card online like other companies. Once payment was received, they stated that they could not find a driver for the price they quoted and they doubled my price. At that time, I requested a REFUND. TOM then transferred me to his supervisor JOHN who gave me the run around and then later stated that they could not issue a refund because I decided to go with another company. Why on earth would I go with a scammer company that literally STOLE my money and lied about everything?? I may not have been able to get my $100 deposit back but consumers beware and don't become a victim like me. I will issue a review on every possible platform so that you guys do not trust this company. IT IS A SCAM!!!

Will definitely use Titanmovers again. Recommend to family and friends. Quick and easy scheduling as well as pickup/drop off. Driver Yomay was excellent!

I was working with John Wilson. He communicated well, was very prompt with getting me answers to my questions and trying to find the best solution for our situation. If ever, I am looking for their services again I would definitely reach out to John.
