TKstairs Reviews

I purchased a staircase from TKstairs to install for a customer local to me. I surveyed the site and modified the quotation he had started to ensure everything was correct before ordering. Then once I'd ordered, the customer told me he had been rang by TKStairs saying a staircase had been ordered from his reference which was different to the one I had and even though I had spoken to TKstairs on the phone and explained I was purchasing and installing the stairs as a tradesperson for the customer. The fact the customer was called and not the person who paid for the stairs could cause major issues if the cost of materials is a figure that needed to remain private. luckily it didnt massively affect me but it did put the customer on edge.

We then received a delivery slot for 3:00 which worked as our staff leave just before 4 except the stairs arrived just before 5 instead.

The main issue was that the single pane of glass I had explicitly specify over the phone beforehand was delivered instead in 2 pieces with a gap. The customer was not happy about this so I asked TKStairs if we could have a partial refund as a key visual aspect of the staircase had been incorrectly manufactured and the 2 days install had already been. The refund the offered me was a whopping £80 inc VAT or a replacement piece of glass plus no fitting costs. On a £2k staircase the refund offered is insulting for a mistake that I explicitly tried to stop them from making. My options now are to tell the customer to put up with having the incorrect staircase and give him £80 or fork out for the installation of the replacement glass which would be completely uneconominal and unnecessary when it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Every step of the way the staff have been awkward and unprofessional to deal with. In future I'll be ordering from stair box or similar instead. Avoid

Easy to use ordering, sizing etc. Came as described, on time. Quarter turn fitted with no problems. Instructions sent when requested (even though they had been sent in an earlier email I hadn't fully read!). Would recommend.

Great experience again, very helpful staff and quick turn-around.

Great communication throughout, delivery driver called me several times with updates, product was very well packaged, and the timber goods themselves were of a very high quality

The staircase seems to be well made and true to requested sizes which is always a bonus!
Had mine delivered pre primed which on the whole was very good, but there are few marks on the newel posts from before painting.
Delivery very good.
Communication was very good throughout the whole process.

The top tread was cut out in the wrong place on the string so had to spend my time re cutting it and patching up existing.

Arrived as stated and in good condition

Great company! Delivery was super and delivery driver was lovely!! Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to family and friends

Very solid well fitting staircase with 32mm thick pine treads, for loft conversion. Good design software and everything supplied to specification/model.

Delivery happened on the day stated and the driver phoned late afternoon the previous day to advise a midday slot. This helped with arranging manpower to receive the heavy straight staircase section.

I would definitely use TKStairs again

ORDERING, AND DELIVERY WAS AN EFFORTLESS EXPERIENCE.
COMMUNICATION WAS GREAT TOO.
STAIRS WERE DELIVERED UNDAMAGED IN ANYWAY... PLEASED I CHOSE THIS COMPANY....
AND WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Excellent quality
Easy to fit
Highly recommended

Fantastic quality great 👍 will use them again no problem

Good fast and great value, I collected personally and staff loaded my trailer promptly

The quality of stairs was good. However the fitting together (provided flat pack with feature treads prebuilt) when feature treads are included is not straightforward. The stringer on the feature tread side does not include fixing slots for both treads but relies on screws. I also added addition support under the extended part of the feature tread as it appears to rely on the riser for support.

Five star service from a 5 star company. From initial contact to the finished product everything went exactly as it should have done. The products they produce are of a far superior quality to others available on the market and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone, trade or DIY, who may be considering a staircase and balustrade installation.
My special thanks must go to Jim Beeson, an utmost professional in his field who went above and beyond in managing my order, a superb asset for a superb company, thank you.

Overall good, very responsive customer care team to place the order and design.

Negative bit - couple of steps had dents in them upon delivery.

Great product... great communication and the delivery was so quick..
I would use every time I need stairs

Excellent service from start to finish
One of the best stair cases i've ever put together
