Very helpful friendly landlady. The breakfast was a bit overcooked. Good location for the sea front and I could park my car onsite. Only downside to room was that the floor didn't look like it had been hoovered.

...which I have now booked in error and will have to update. So no - not happy.

Had been on internet for 3 hours ,prices were just too high for my budget,as my sister and myself are pensioners looking for nice break and clicked on Toprooms.com and saw several good deals,but one I chose is in ideal location and price was right,would recommend people to check this out.

I searched for a room in Clanfield Hampshire. That is what appeared saying 45 places available, but with the exception of 1 place all the rest were Clanfield Oxfordshire.

This hotel was abandoned !!!! a neighbouring house said it has been empty for weeks as the tenant has "done a runner"... no answer on the phone number provided.

Even me as a pensioner managed to make a booking

Easy to book on line, and allows early access - excellent.

I arrived and was met with a rude owner who was not expecting me. She had no knowledge of my booking and stated that although I had booked for 2 people it was a single occupancy even though it had a double bed and a.single bed. She accused me of having consumed alcohol when I had explained I had driven from liverpool (I feel that this was discrimination) and stated that I was being rude when all I had done was arrive and be met with hostility. I then had to pay an additional £20 for my partner although I had booked for 2 people. We were staying one night, not having breakfast and therefore the £20 additional fee was for what exactly? She advised she did not allow alcohol on the premises (we had a few beers and nowhere did it state alcohol was not permitted) and told me that she was not prepared to refund me the money I had already paid therefore I was unable to go anywhere else. I am disgusted with the way I was spoken to and looked down on. This has ruined my evening.

The bedroom was really nice, clean and tidy the host's were very helpful we would certainly use this accommodation again only downfall was the note stuck to the wall explaining how to sort the toilet problem out surely it would be much simpler to have the toilet issue sorted

We were only in Southport for a brief 2 day, 1 night stay, but we had a wonderful time. Both rooms were beautifully appointed, spotless and ultra comfortable, and the welcome we received was as warm as any we've ever had. The 'full Engish' was a masterpiece and very generous, and there were many other options available. The attention to detail and generous room facilities put many a large hotel in the shade.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending John & Shirley's Edendale House to anyone - friends or strangers alike.

I found this site very easy to use and uncomplicated have used before
