It has been both a pleasure and great relief that we found Total Tax to help with our overwhelming tax situation.
Due to aging and some medical concerns, we found ourselves owing $50,000.00 +, in late taxes and fees.
With the diligent help from Steve Fuqua, Michael Bohn, Lorraine, Kat, Donna, Angela and all the staff we were able to relax and feel confident we were in good hands.
With all their hours of hard work and expertise, they got our tax bill reduced to $6,000 payable through a payment plan.
We will forever be grateful and thankful for their time, skills and attentiveness. We felt and still feel we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness.
At anytime we could call and we were offered a detailed explanation for each process and incredible help with paperwork.
They will continue to be our source for any future tax returns.

I contacted Total Tax after seeing several positive reviews on-line. My husband has been ill & we had issues with filing and owing back taxes for several years. Total tax was amazing!

Angie is an angel sent from heaven! I had hired a company last year to do my back taxes. First i was gonna owe 14K and then 19K! I fired them and Angie straightened out this absolute mess. Steve Fuqua, my dedicated rep at TotalTax, has gone above and beyond to assist me, especially when the IRS suspended my payment plan due to an error in my 2023 taxes. This mistake caused the IRS to demand more than I could afford, despite my consistent on-time payments. The situation quickly escalated, and I was at risk of liens and wage garnishment.

Forget the other reviews unless they have money to spend. Do not and I repeat do not use total tax tax service, total tax pros for any of your tax preparation. You can consider half of your refund as payment to them. And you can count on paying at least $150 to $250 for a refund less than $100.

I have been trying to get my 2022 return done for several years now. I have paid several thousand dollars. They are not responding to my emails or requests. I would not hire them. These people are scam artists.

TotalTax is amazing. This is not your everyday CPA / tax firm. They know exactly who to call at the IRS to get issues sorted out FAST. I am amazed at their quality, speed, and accuracy of tax work. This is the go-to place for professional tax services.

I hired Total Tax to handle my IRS back taxes and was totally pleased with the results. Everytime I called the office there was someone there to answer the phone, or setup a call back to address my concerns, unlike some of the other companies I dealt with in the past. If I need anything else as far as Taxes go they will be my first call

I contacted total tax thinking my deceased mother had 4 years of income tax returns. We agreed to a term in an amount, only to find out that she didn't have 4 years but only two so they told me they would renegotiate the price and they would go ahead and take care of everything. Including getting the retirement form of a W-2 as well as the social security information for income to prepare taxes. When I got the amended bill, I thought that it said that all I was going to pay was $800. I thought well that's reasonable for 2 years of income taxes. I was charged $1,200! Only to have a standard deduction text preparation. They took one full year of tax returns leaving me with only one and a half years which was not what I was expecting when I negotiated them preparing my bill. They told me they sent me everything I needed that all I needed to do was sign and mail the tax forms. As soon as I downloaded them and printed them, I mailed them. I got them two weeks ago only to find out that there were no w-2s or retirement information and that I needed a form that wasn't included. All I can say is unless you've got some complicated tax returns and have a whole bunch of interest that you're trying to protect, then use them. But if you have simple tax issues that need to be filed do it yourself! Because I feel like I got completely ripped off by these people! They told me I was going to be in good hands and that they would take care of everything and make sure I got the most that they could get for my returns. But what they really did was take half of my returns just for filling out a stupid TurboTax type program where you just fill in the blanks. It probably took them all a 20 minutes!

I'm really disappointed with after speaking with Total Tax reps that it has been more than 2+ years and still no resolve solutions. When I ask about updates, their response is IRS has not responded. I now have paid more money than just pay what the IRS has on their website. Frustrated to be used by a company that can't fulfill their obligations.
