Buyer beware..
I have taken time before writing this because I don’t like pile‑ons or damaging a business unnecessarily. But after being asked repeatedly about our experience — and hearing others describe almost identical issues — I think it’s important to be honest. If you’re already booked, don’t panic: the kids will have a great time. But if you’re thinking of booking, you should go in with your eyes open.
Early communication
Initially very positive: reassuring, responsive, and confident. It gave us a lot of comfort early on.
Booking process & admin
This is where things unravelled. Almost none of the promised processes happened without us pushing hard. Urgent requests came late to us, information was inconsistent, and the general admin felt chaotic. It created unnecessary stress for a tour of this scale and cost.
Interactions /comms
Communication was, at times, extremely difficult to deal with — defensive, combative, and at times dismissive. At best inconsistent Several conversations became far more heated than they needed to be, and there were moments where previous discussions were “reinterpreted” in ways that simply didn’t match our previous recollection of what had been said. It made an already stressful situation significantly worse.
I’ve organised multiple tours before. This was, by a long way, the hardest and most stressful.
The weekend itself — the part the kids remember;
Campsite — superb.
Travel (buses) — expensive, unreliable, and the “security” overseeing it raised concerns.
Parking - went from ample to "nonoarking available". In reality there was but it wasnt enough and many people got tickets.
Fixtures
disorganised. Too few teams, poor timings, and lots of intramural games that caused issues.
Pitches — too small and not enough of them, which disrupted schedules.
Refereeing — only provided from U11s upwards, despite literature implying all age groups. This wasn’t communicated. Coaches ended up refereeing multiple games, including some who had been drinking. A major safeguarding red flag.
Vendors — good quality but not enough capacity or variery.
Awards — fun but chaotic.
Bottom line
The kids loved it. Most parents enjoyed the weekend. The campnsite was immense. The music fun but ropey. But the admin team — and a sizeable minority of families — had significant issues.
If you’re already booked, you’ll likely still have a memorable weekend. If you’re considering booking, weigh the positives against the very real organisational and communication problems that we (and others) have experienced.
If you are a single age group, juniors team, it is likely to be brilliant. Bigger parties, less so. (We were told "minis is non competitive so fixtures dont really matter")
