ive been here since 2018, not a single meaningful change added to character creation for almost 7 years, at this point just stop gatekeeping css behind premium and drop the invite code garbage
the community is very enclosed, people keep having their characters deleted with little to no explanation, getting a hold of the mods is straight up impossible
good only if you want a very basic character/art storage

I in no way violated the website’s policies but was the victim of a phony mass report campaign by another user. My account was permanently banned without any recourse to argue/dispute the claims. All of my work is gone. I’ve lost everything I added to that site over the last few years. I’m absolutely devastated and I’m contacting a lawyer.

If ur planning to use the site for just storing ur ocs then it's amazing! There's quite a lot of customization options and there are plenty of free html code to make everything look nice! However the people on there are horrible, absolutely horrible. Say or phrase one thing wrong and ur done for. The people on there are brutal and just straight up toxic and abusive. There are some good people but the website is run by one single mod who refuses to hire more people. I feel like people can just report anything and the mod will take it down even if the report isn't justified. The forums are a horrible place. I have had so many people do horrible stuff and when I called them out I got framed for discriminating against systems/people with DID. People will haras u for having a DNI list but will also hate u for not having one? People will also hate u for not being clear enough on ur DNI list but when u actually are specific suddenly people will accuse u of being discriminating? I also had people just straight up steal my ocs and sell them and toyhouse did nothing but change the credits like the person was allowed to stay despite me having so much proof??? Yet some people will get banned for the most stupidest thing???

However they're very strictly against ai and the block function work AMAZINGLY

Moderation against theft, bullying, abuse, and CSEM is nonexistent. Gangstalking and doxxing is common at this point. Find somewhere else if you value your safety.

This place is pretty nice since I began using it in 2017. I can store my characters and even give follow ups to my stories (I made one of them a series even). Sometimes I have issues when I accidentally refresh and I lose all my progress, but that's an issue by my side. I don't get others saying that they find lots of drama, call outs and toxicity, I perceive you may get all of that by your choice, you choose who to follow and authorize and who not, maybe because I'm just for myself and a very small circle of friends and followers who are most of the time pretty quiet and chill? But yeah, as far as I know you can choose way better and personalize who follows you and who you follow way better

Overall it's a great site. I also suggest you to have a local registry just in case, but even after 7 years of using it I've had no issues

Honestly loved this site for a while! until i was banned. Then it was awful. There is little to no ways to reliably get a hold of the singular admin, and when you are banned your characters and all of your art and images are just gone.

Ok, don't get me wrong, the site is great, I've made friends there who are amazing people, it's a decent and easy to use space for your characters and to trade, but the community, the moderation, and the admin all kinda suck

Community: While I haven't had much drama about me on Toyhouse, the community is still somewhat mean and hostile to me. Yes, I've met a lot of nice and amazing people, but some are absolute a-holes
Moderation: THE MODERATION SUCKS. I've seen people not get their issues solved from YEARS AGO that have still not been resolved and it pisses me off. They've also been, WITHOUT WARNING, mass deleting characters and closing profiles. My profile got closed from something over a YEAR AGO. My account was closed September 2024 but I had it for a little over a year. Also, the moderation is poor about situations such as, character theft, stolen art, scams, adults showing minors porn, etc. The site needs to work on that and actually TRY to keep minors safe. A LOT of the community is minors. Also recently they started blocking guest accounts from viewing anything on ToyHouse. Which for me means I can't log into my account from another device and I can't log out of my account or I won't be able to log back in ever again

The admin: While yes, I understand the site is run by a singular person, (|Lulu/Sudo), they honestly suck at their job. I personally think they should have more admins/mods and SHOULD ACTUALLY HEAR PEOPLE OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND NOT GHOST THEM. I sent in several tickets and emails about my account asking for my characters/art back and they haven't. They didn't even respond back to my mom when she sent an email. I understand they might be tired of peoples crap, but try to hear people out and if it's not for character theft, tracing, or making copyrighted characters your OCs, let people get their characters back.

Overall: The site sucks unless you plan on using just for characters storage and not communicating/trading with people. The moderation is horrible and the admin basically does nothing to help people. If you're looking for characters storage, I'd suggest characterhub or Unvale for that. Not as simple, but the site moderation is better and so is the community (as far as I've seen)

A great place to sort your original characters and story but there is an issue that I'm not happy with.
I submitted a page that I worked on for an hour and I received an error message about the image that I attached to the page being too large for the server. Instead of giving me the chance to fix the image, my hard work was deleted instead. I'm devastated and upset.

The site is great. Hosting they got is really nice and I feel like my characters and art is safe there.

I don't get people complaining about admins doing nothing? Like, it's a site like every other site, you HAVE to be careful because site as big as th is hard to moderate 24/7. If you lack basic internet safety knowledge or if you're scared of blocking people for some reason, then internet in general is not for you.

I advise staying away from this site. Toyhouse has great features and a nice design, but the userbase is toxic and dangerous. The administrator never replies to reports and due to the lack of moderation drama on site is amplified. I have been publicly sexually harassed, stalked, slandered, verbally abused and nothing has been done about it. There are constantly crimes being committed onsite. adults showing porn to minors and defamation being the most common. toyhouse has been referred to as a watered-down version of Kiwi farms.

For child safety keep minors off this site. This is not an appropriate community for them. And I'd advise you as an adult to choose a nicer and moderated community.

I hope one day to see Toyhouse get some decent moderators and clean up their act to make the site safer for everyone. But until then, it is an unsafe platform.

This site freaking sucks. Got banned for no reason, then when I sent multiple emails over the span of two days, they went unseen. However, the ONE TICKET I sent seemed to go seen, as both my alt account (which I've had for a month now!!) and my main account immediately got permanently banned the day after.
Don't use this site. If they find reason to not like you, you're going to lose all the work you put into it. And by that I mean everything.

This website is ABSOLUTELY horrible. There’s so much harassment and “callout posts” over things that aren’t even bad. The admin has also let someone steal $80 from me. They do not monitor anything. Adults blatantly harass minors and there’s tons of leaking/doxxing. Please stay away from this community, everyone on this site will witchhunt you. They also track your IP address. WTH is wrong with this site???

They will Never get back to your support tickets. Never ever. I have waited upwards of 4 years for a support ticket to be answered in regards to a copyrighted character being used as an oc. The admins do not care about their users and the option to pay for a "premium membership" for the site is worthless because it does Nothing for you other than cosmetic features. They will allow harassment and endless callouts but will Never get back to you. If your account gets banned, sorry bout ya! They will not ever get back to you about appealing bans or account locks. You will lose Everything you have uploaded to your toyhouse account if they decide to ban you, and they will give you No Warning when they do it. You will not get access to Anything on your account. Its bad!

Not a good social environment. They will ban you without warning for off-site activities. It's weird and a major over reach of power. Several of my friends have lost access to images of their characters forever because of this. I understand having content rules about what is and isn't allowed, but this is absurd and a really childish way to run a website.

I hate how the Admins have treated the community for the past years, theyre literally more often then not no where able to be found, they mass deleted characters or useres with out contacting them stating theyve broken any rules or TOS and then disappear again!

Well, it was nice having somewhere to store all of my characters, art, commissions, and shop for new character designs... until I was banned without warning and had every trace of writing and art DELETED! The singular staff member who runs the site refuses to get back to me about my hundreds of dollars worth of art, once you're banned DO NOT expect help from their "staff" about getting anything back.
Toyhouse is run like a cliquey private server, the "admin" couldn't care less about you. Store your characters somewhere else.

Don't get me wrong the layout is great and easy to work with. However, there's so many things wrong with it. People's accounts are getting banned arbitrarily and without warning and they're losing everything including characters and art they spent money on (Do not trust Toyhouse.se, back your stuff up in multiple places.)
Another thing is the mods. There's only one or two. They're not great at handling situations and have stolen characters and given them to other users without proof of ownership, just because a user made a false claim. Y'all need to get evidence to make sure you're not helping someone steal. Then, there's the new "bot protection" thing. There's no Captcha or anything, no. It's random and prevents users from logging in because "our system suspects you are a bot." I don't message people or do anything suspicious, I've had my account since 2022, but it will not let me log in. If I ever get back in I'm tempted to take all my stuff off there and go off site.

Fascist site staff that ban you without warning and without chance of defending or explaining yourself. Hosts media that supports and calls for violence and genocide, actively allows their users to witch-hunt and slander people. Will ban you for your activity OUTSIDE of their site, would not recommend 0/10 highly overhyped
