I did see all the negative reviews on here, but I couldn't find even anything remotely similar to the product I wanted anywhere else, so I took a gamble and decided to order anyway....
I did contact customer service before I made my order to ask a couple of questions about the product... and I got quick and friendly replies!
I made my order on the 7th of March, and it did take a couple of days to process (but that was a weekend!), and then it arrived on the 23rd, which I was actually pretty impressed with given that it came from America.
It was a brine shrimp kit (similar to Sea Monkeys but a different brand) and when I was stirring the sachet of salt/eggs into the water, I noticed that the quality of the tank was slightly lacking - it was a bit wobbly and not secured very well into the base. I emailed them with a video, and they got back to be very quickly... we exchanged a few emails over the last couple of days and all replies were very quick, probably within 12 hours each time, despite it being over the weekend. And they were really polite, friendly and understanding too. They offered me a 25% discount voucher for future use, but I said it probably wasn't going to be any use to me as I didn't think there would be anything else on their website that I'd be interested in buying. They did also say I was within my rights to cancel the order but I said I couldn't possibly return it as it now had live animals living in it.
So, they've agreed to give me a 15% partial refund (or they did offer me a discount voucher again, this time for 30%) which I thought was pretty fair, given that the item is still useable, it's just not 100% up to par quality wise.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the experience and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again if there was something else that I wanted.
Sure, their prices are a little high, but bear in mind these items are not in the UK - and their delivery fee is only £7.95, so I think the prices of the products are probably very much driven up by some of the importing costs - and of course a lot of the things are hard to find so the price probably reflects that as well.

I’ve had the same horror story as the previous reviews about this so-called toy company.
March 2nd: Placed an online order through their website.
March 6th: Sent an email to follow up and received a reply saying my item would be delivered on the 16th.
March 14th: I decided to check the status of my order on their website and—surprise, surprise—I got a 404 error and could no longer see my order status. I sent another email to follow this up and received a templated response on the 15th saying there was a delay in dispatching my order and that they were trying to resolve the issue. They never provided a timeline for when it would be resolved or set any expectations on what would happen next.
March 17th: I sent another email asking if the delivery had gone through, as I had expected my item delivered the day before.
March 18th: I received an email saying my item was no longer available. They offered a completely different item plus a voucher worth 20% of my original purchase. By this point, I was already fuming and demanded a full refund. I then received another email offering a voucher worth 120% of my purchase price instead. I replied that if they didn’t refund my money, I would file a dispute with my bank.
March 19th: I received another email saying they were processing the refund, which would take 3–5 business days.
Lesson: Don’t waste your money on this company—you’ll only cause yourself unnecessary stress. Avoid at all costs!
Excellent service and they had an item I couldn't find anywhere else at a reasonable price. Would definitely buy from them again

I also received a text with a link that set me up with tracking information keeping me up to date with my delivery. I would definitely shop from Toys Central U.K. in the future. I had no problem at all.
Communicated well with updates package came in good time even with it coming from America to the uk.
Despite a dodgy start. I did get my order in excellent condition and quite fast . The customer service was very good and couldn’t do enough offering some compensation for the dodgy start. All in all yes I would order again of them

Totally hassle free, communicated progress of order via email and text, provided the shipment number swiftly - order was received in the timeframe given, no complaints with the service, and the item was safely packed with no damage
Was easy to order was updated on my order. My grandson love the game so much.
I placed an order on 11th January 2026 and was given a delivery date of 1 to 2 weeks for delivery.
It eventually turned up 12th February which was about 4 1/2 weeks after the order was placed.
Their communication i have to say was good. They always replied to emails but wasn't helping the fact we still didnt know when and why it was taken longer than stated.
Had I of been given a 4+ week delivery time I would not have ordered as I had a little girl waiting patiently but getting quite frustrated her dog teddy wasn't arriving.
Having read more feedback I see this is quite common for alot of orders so feel they need to adjust their website to give more accurate delivery times.
Eventually they offered a 10% refund for the longer wait which totalled £6 so wasn't really justifiable but it was something I suppose.
Nothing wrong with the item when arrived but if you want a fast delivery I definitely wouldn't recommend this company.

Great service and communication from the team. Even after having an issue that was my fault they were great.
I like to praise when its deserved. And yes its deserved. This came all the way from NJ to Folkestone England. And i knew it would take about 10 days. However it was quicker. Wrapped up well, i was also kept informed of every step.
Ive returned my £250 doll as it turned up, box crushed and split. For £250 i expect it to be perfect condition!
I have returned like i was asked to, It has been delivered back and they have confirmed they have it. They are meant to also pay me back £25 towards postage whuch actually cost me £38. Plus £250 refund! I am now being ignored!!

Disgusting business practices. Paid for an item which was due to arrive the day before I needed it (someone's birthday) and it took the company a week to tell me it wasn't in stock. They then offered me an alternative (but in no way similar) item and a voucher for 20% off. I declined and asked for a refund. They then asked me if I would prefer a 120% voucher (which is basically the same as the previous "offer"?). I declined and asked for a refund. They agreed and informed me it would take 3-5 days. Over a week later, no refund to be seen. I'm convinced they only FINALLY processed the refund because I told them I would report the transaction as fraud through my credit card company. Atrocious.
EDIT: As you can see from the reply (despite posting the review the same day I finally received the refund) it's happening so frequently to so mamy customers, they can't figure out which one I am - heed the warning.

Horrible experience. Phone line is just a robot voice telling me that nobody is available and chat agent disconnected because I was not active for 120 seconds. Order never arrived and it was my friend buying a gift for me so she didn't realize it was 3 times more expensive than in the name brand store

Ordered an item online. They confirmed order accepted and item being ready for dispatch. Then they emailed to say out of stock. They attempted to sell me a similar item which I wasn't interested in. I asked for a refund. They then tried to offer me a voucher instead of a refund and I had to keep insisting for the refund before they agreed to issue it, advising would take 5 working days. That time has elapsed and no refund in sight, and the item is still listed on their website for sale despite being out of stock. Something shady about their whole operating model in my eyes and now I need to approach my card provider for a chargeback

If I could have given no stars then I would have I ordered a item on the 20th/11/25 was told it would be shipped out within 7-14 days 6weeks and many emails they said in one email it’s been lost then another saying it was out of stock when ordered offered a replacement item that they had ready to ship said it will be here 7-14 days again weeks and emails later was yet again not delivered and email saying sorry out of stock when ordered so today 3/1/26 I was offered a refund or a credit note I could not believe after all the hassle I had that I would ever think of ordering anything from them again my granddaughter was so disappointed she didn’t get the Xmas present she asked for from me DONT TOUCH THIS COMPANY even with a 20 foot barge pole
