I have just had an excellent conversation with Ehsan in the Trackstar Customer Service team. I have had a problem with my tags recently and I have spoken to him a couple of times in the past week or so re the issue….he handled my first enquiry really well and quickly dispatched a new tag which arrived this morning. I then spoke to him again today and he very quickly and efficiently paired my new tag. Really polite and helpful and thanks for all your help

Emily was very clear in giving me directions of how to get into the app when I had been going round in circles, getting nowhere. The key is to have access to both phone and computer so that the verification code can be accessed without throwing you out and closing the app down. So simple but so helpful!

The system operates exactly as advertised. I can set a Geofence so that I get an e-mail if the car moves more than 50 metres. It faithfully tracks my movements as well. Could not be better!

It is impossible for the owner of the vehicle to see the position of it on the trackstar app because it takes hours to update.
Our tracker can miss whole journeys because of the update rate.
It is worse than not having a tracker as I cant rely on it even telling me that it has moved.
The vehicle was on our drive for days but the app said it was on the A34 near Newberry so I couldn't set the geofence.
It is a rubbish product and none on the help desk will help, they closed one of my complaints before they actually called me back.
Update
I have been contacted by Helen from Trackstar who has said that they are working on fixing the app to improve the position updating but this was the case in July 2024 as reported by Alessandro Quinlan. Following Helens instruction I have removed the app and deleted the phones cache and reloaded the latest version. When we use the motorhome again we will test if it is any better at updating its position, it doesn't have to be real-time but has to record an actual journey.
Update Feb 2025
My journeys still do not show up, in Dec 24 we went to Longleat and it did see us there but on the 2 hr journey through Salisbury to PO16 it never noticed any cell towers even after leaving the engine on at home for 10mins. I had to set the geofence to the campsite in Longleat. The same again when we went to the New Forest recently. It now reads our home as I had to drive out and around to get the app to warn me we weren't in the Forest any more. I have now bought 4 cheap I-tag devices and can see our motorhome on our phone any time.

Phoned up track star as I had to get the car transferred to my name from the dealers. I was dreading a long drawn out complicated call but I was sorted in 10 mins!! Helen was awesome. Talked me through the process helped me install the ap and set up my account there and then - fantastic customer support!!

Unfortunately my Tag does not get detected therefore every single journey I make I get a phone call from Tara.
Whilst the system is great, the resolution to my issue is poor. I’m getting fed up ofthe novelty
